This is just a list of clichés that are way overused and really annoy me. Yeah.

Abusive/alcoholic Parents

Sent somewhere for the summer unwillingly, but ends up liking it in the end

Hates person and then falls in love with them

Sit next to/partnered with guy they hate, ends up falling for them

Flawless female lead character ("Mary Sue" characters)

**"You're too good for me," says the main character's love interest.** GOD. IF SHE IS SO GREAT, AND YOU LOVE HER, AND ALL SHE WANTS IS YOU, THEN YOU ARE ACTUALLY NOT DOING HER A FAVOR BY LEAVING HER.

Car crashes

Blonde, popular cheerleaders with too much makeup

Popular/bad boy falls for shy/nerd girl

Main female being overly modest (I'm so ugly, why would he ever fall for me?). But then she is actually really beautiful in a no makeup, a messy bun and a baggy t-shirt, cuz you know, every teenage girl can pull that off.

Main character with tragic past

Bad boy who is actually a sweetheart inside

*"I'm just your average high-school girl... or so I thought,"or something along those lines*- DO NOT EVER INCLUDE THIS IN YOUR SUMMARY. Sorry. Getting a little excited there. But if I see this in a summary, chances are I will just peg your book as cliche right then and there.
