it has been a while and many ships have sailed

sunk      docked      cities have called hello hello

and ports have cried goodbyes      fishes have

explored my mettle at depths too deep      i wait

still       expectant       drifting       grandly tethered

in this wet by silver laces      i hover over here

strange and happy like a green-yellow sunbeam

waiting      waiting      for the golden waves to rise 

or at least to surprise me fathomlessly       fabulously
