I knocked on the door before me. I decided to go to see what this letter was all about. Once inside where the council stayed, I quickly noticed the people attending the ceremony was a small number. All eyes followed me as I went to speak with someone on the council who noticed I arrived. "Had good trip here, yes ? We wanted you to be comfortable, Haewon."

I smiled as I tried to act less terrified & nervous. "Um, may I ask why am I here ? I am in no way important enough to be here." The council member before me chuckled as he showed me to a portrait on the wall. This portrait was of a woman named Nam Haewon as well. "그녀는 매우 강력한 뱀파이어 해원아였습니다. 당신은 심지어 그녀와 같은 이름을 가지고 있어요... 그녀가 당신이 여기 올 자격이 있는 이유입니다." (She was a very powerful vampire, Haewon ah. You even share the same name as her... She is the reason you are qualified to be here.) I stared at the portrait & it felt like the eyes completely seemed to follow my every movement. 

"Why is that ? I never knew I had an relation to the person in this portrait." The council member sighed as he looked at the portrait with saddening pain clouding his eyes. "She is your aunt, Haewon ah. She was removed from the family tree." I gulped as I asked something I'd never thought I'd ask. "Was she bonded ?" 

This is when my attention was directed to another portrait. It was of my aunt & she stood behind a vampire all were familiar with, Lord Yohan. Yohan was considered to be the first vampire to have bonded. "Have you figured it out yet, Haewon ah ?" I was confused. What could my aunt being bonded have anything to do with me ? "그것은 무엇일까요? 제발, 말씀해줘요." (What is it ? Tell me, please.)

Soon the conversation was cut short as the ceremony began to start. I oddly began to feel hot & my throat burned. I downed a few glasses of water, but it didn't soothe my throat. Seven caskets opened & I felt the most random urge. Almost trance like I charged forward. I wasn't in control. I locked eyes with someone as they held me a bit above the ground by the throat. 

I thrashed around as my throat seemed to burn even more. I need to hunt. What was wrong with me ? The person or rather the vampire holding me, scoffed as I felt something pierce my neck. Then there was only silence...

I sat up in a bed when I was met with seven pairs of eyes. I rubbed my neck. "Ugh. What happened ?" I said as I tried to focus. My eyesight is a still a bit hazy. One of the seven spoke up as I was handed a cup of blood. "Drink it. It will slow your bloodthirst for about an hour." 

I sipped from the cup. "제가 왜 그런 행동을 했을까요? 이렇게 피를 갈망해 본 적이 없어요."(Why did I act like that ? I've never craved blood this strongly before.) "We're not going to hurt you, Haewon noona. There is nothing to be scared of." He read my mind ?! I sipped more blood from my cup when one of the others spoke up. "You sure aren't what we expected. No offense."

"What do you mean by that ?" The one who I've learned to be Jay raised his hands in defense with a playful look on his face. "You have had a lot of change in your life recently. I don't blame you for thinking I was being a bit rude." 

"왜 다들 제가 자는 걸 보고 계셨어요? 저는 여러분 모두가 가지고 있는 에드워드 컬렌 분위기에 별로 관심이 없습니다." (Well ? Why were you all watching me sleep ? I am so not into the Edward Cullen vibe you all have going on.) A string of chuckles sounded throughout the room as the conversation was shifted into me getting to know the seven vampires within the room.

What was going on ?
