(A/N: in case you missed/skipped the disclaimer. This chapter is a bit violent. But this is all fictional.)

I had moved into the council' home when Elijah was sent back to live with our parents. That was a little over a few months ago. I got along well with Heeseung, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jungwon, Ni-Ki, & Jay. Even if we've only known each other a short amount of time. I've even learned about their abilities.

My condition had gotten much better, but I am still craving blood more than I usually would. I was walking back to the house when I felt like someone was watching me. I tried to keep walking & keep focused on getting to where I needed to.

A sudden gush of wind gave me chills. Suddenly I was knocked to the ground harshly. "Hey--", I said before I pulled up coming face to face with another vampire. "당신 피에서 맛있는 냄새가 나요, 인간." (Your blood smells delicious, human.) I gulped as I tried getting out of the assailant' grip. "Let me go !" I knew there were some rogue vampires, but I never thought I'd ever encounter one. But why would my blood smell super enticing ? I am not even fully human...

"Now, why would I let you go ?" I hissed showing off my small fangs. For the most part I was human, but I had fangs. I didn't have any of the vampiric strength. "I am not someone you want to feed on." The rogue vampire wrapped a hand around my throat as he smirked, " A Halfling ? Even better."

I somehow mustered enough strength to get out of the grip & run. I couldn't seem to get myself to scream as I ran. I wasn't fast enough. The rogue vampire tackled me & sunk his fangs into my wrist. Venom entering my body. The blood flowing out of my wrist...

Pain. Excruciating pain. I have no idea how long it lasted. I was so out of it when I felt arms wrap around my body. "해원이요? 해원아, 들려요?" (Haewon ? Haewon, can you hear me ?) I was so out of it. "Um..." The voice. I knew this voice even if it was a bit muffled. I couldn't focus as my mind was only preoccupied with the pain. I withered from the intense pain as I cried. 

"걱정하지 마세요, 해원 씨. 고통을 멈추게 할 거예요..." (Don't worry, Haewon. I'll make the pain stop...)
