[A/n: I'm not leaving your guys to starve any longer]

After cleaning themselves, and the area where the Paradox basically destroyed a building, Chuuya and Y/n were now standing in waiting for the subway to come. They both made light conversation, finding enjoyment in each other's presence, one more so than the other.

'Y/n L/n,' Chuuya thought to himself as Y/n was chatting with him about his co-worker that he basically sees as his son. 'Someone who has an ability that makes little to no sense to me. 'Divine in True Nightmare' is what Y/n calls it, but he won't go deeper than that. Y/n's an interesting person; naive but someone who I find entertaining to play with.

'Although, he never said where he originally came from. He doesn't look completely Japanese either. Especially his eyes... They hold something that everyone is oblivious to. Hmm, he's more than an office worker he says he is...'

"Ah, red..." Y/n's voice brought Chuuya out of his mind. "...this is my train." He turned to the red head as the subway comes bustling in. "I have to get going. I was nice meeting you, though. I hope we can see each other again sometime. Maybe, when we're both off, yeah?"

Chuuya blinked for a moment before giving Y/n a side smile. "Yeah. Who knows, maybe we'll stumble into each other again," he teased slightly, making Y/n chuckle.

The intercom above Y/n and Chuuya suddenly announced, "Now boarding 217, Yokohama city."

Chuuya's eyes couldn't help but widened very slightly, and with Y/n being focused on the announcement, he didn't even notice. Chuuya looked at Y/n with worry. He knew what would happen if Y/n were to get on that subway. He knew that if Y/n were to leave right now, Chuuya would never see him again.

"Oh, that seems to be my ride," Y/n commented as he looked back at Chuuya. "I've got to go. Thanks for everything, little red."

Chuuya deadpanned. "Do not... call me that..."

Y/n chuckled as he waved to Chuuya as he was about to turn to enter the subway that was stopping. However, he was stopped. Chuuya grabbed Y/n wrist as his brows were furrowed. Confused, Y/n looked back at Chuuya for a moment.

"Red?"

"Don't I..." Chuuya paused himself. "I think you should take the next train. Y-You can ride with me back to Yokohama." He knew that once Y/n gets on that train, his plaything will disappear right when it was placed in his hands.

Y/n couldn't help but tilt his head in confusion, stepping a little closer to Chuuya as the other let his hand drop away from Y/n. "I don't understand. I really have to take this train to head back to my work. If I don't, I don't know what would happen if I'm gone for too long." He let out a joking chuckle, trying to lighten Chuuya's tensed mood.

Chuuya huffed a bit as his eyes narrowed slightly. "Look, it's just that-" He was cut off by a phone ringing.

"I'm sorry," Y/n muttered as he pulled out his phone from his pocket and answered it. "Yes? ... I see ... Alright ... I'm on my way ..." He let out a hum than a sigh as he hung up the phone after a few moments. He turned back to Chuuya. "I need to go, red. That was my boss, and they need me. Like, right now."

Chuuya, knowing that he couldn't do anything, relaxed uncomfortably. What else could he do? It's not like he can keep insisting Y/n to stay; they just met only a few hours ago. And yet, thinking that someone so golden could escape his grasp so easily made Chuuya feel uneasy. Too bad, Y/n was an interesting being.

Y/n smiles as he hurriedly enters the train. "I hope to see you again, red," he said before waving a goodbye.

"Yeah... see you," Chuuya muttered, waving bitterly as the door closed between him and Y/n.

With that, Chuuya and Y/n went on their separate ways, the train drifting the other away. Chuuya stood there ideally as he could only hope for the best that Y/n doesn't get caught in the crossfire by the mafia. He tips down his hat to cover his eyes as he frowned.

"How unfortunate..." Chuuya muttered to himself.

───◇──◇─◇

'Little red seemed eager for me to stay with him,' Y/n thought to himself. 'He didn't want me to go without him. Hmm... Oh... Did he... Ah, he's probably like every other man out there... He probably wanted me for the night... Chuuya, I thought you were different...' He frowned in disappointment.

Y/n fidgeted with his fingers and the wrinkles in his clothes with a solum look on his face. He can remember how small Chuuya's body was compared to his, almost like he was the perfect hugging size. Y/n wanted to smile, but his plagued thoughts override the good. How long has it been since he met a new person that didn't want to bed him?

The overhead announcement suddenly turned on. "Ahh... This is from the conductor's room."

Y/n's eyes immediately sharpened at the unprofessional tone the speaker used. In fact, the announcer didn't sound like a conductor at all. In that moment, Y/n immediately knew that something was wrong. Something was going to happen.

The announcement continued, "I apologize for the inconvenience, but we're about to conduct... a bit of a physics experiment! We'll be examining and evaluating the reaction of a non-inertial mass to a sudden percussive force! The subjects of this experiment are you, our beloved ridership!! Thank you so~ much for your cooperation! So! To start out, if you could listen to this~"

Y/n's eyes widened when he felt a rubbing underneath his feet. He was quick to jump to his feet and turn to face the passengers in his cart. "GET DOWN! IT'S A BOM-!!" He was cut off by a massive boom.

Y/n was thrown to the wall along with a few others. A women held her child in fear for what's about to happen as she tried her best to care for the child. A couple was hugging each other in fear. Y/n stared in horror as a few others, a man, women, and child; a family, were the targets of the bomb. The explosion killed them instantly.

Y/n stumbled to his feet, his ear ringing from the bomb being so close to him. He held on to his arm as he was sure that it would be bruised by how harshly he was thrown to the walls of the train. He rushed over to the family and crouched down. His eyes shook as his hands hovered over them.

They're dead. There was nothing that Y/n could do about it.

Y/n couldn't hear. He heard no announcement despite the light being on signaling that someone was speaking through them. He heard no crying from the child who was suffering the same as him. He heard nothing, only the constant ringing of his eardrums. He swore that he could feel the blood dripping down his jaw. He was the second closest to the bomb besides the family.

However, Y/n could feel. He felt everything. The rumbling of the cart. The booms of bombs in other carts. The muffling and screaming of other passengers. However, he could not feel the footsteps of a scrambling conductor. They were dead, was what Y/n concluded, killed by the terrorist.

Y/n swiftly stood up, cringing at the fact that there was blood seeping out the family's bodies and getting on his shoes and hands when he pushed himself off the ground. He panted as he made a dash for the conductor's booth. His steps were heavy, and loud, he knew it.

As much as Y/n wanted to, using his ability when there is light, or even broad daylight, will hurt him to no end. It'll burn him to the bone, sizzling his flesh until he was in the dark once again to heal himself. Y/n cursed to himself under his breath.

Y/n pushed pass passengers that were trying to flee for their lives. He only stopped to help others off the ground, but other than that, he kept moving, he had to. If there was no one conducting the train, it would go off course. If Y/n was lucky, he could have the train stop at the nearest subway station.

Y/n bursted through doors one by one, until he finally came to the conductor's door. His eyes widened when he saw the blood spilling from the crack on the bottom of the door. In one swift movement, he broke the door open, throwing it to the side as he was met with a bomb on the other side.

Y/n didn't have time to react as the bomb went off. It wasn't as harsh as at the last, obviously made so that the control room would keep intact and keep moving, but definitely enough for a regular human to be blown away.

Y/n coughed as he waved away the smoke from his face. He didn't even flinch, only having his arm scarred from the blast but nothing more. The ringing in his ear became unbearable as it started to make his head ache but he didn't care. Rushing, and pushing the dead conductor aside, the light of the other side of the tunnel came to view.

Squinting, the sun blared in Y/n's eyes. Once he finally adjusted to the light, his eyes widened when he noticed that the whole train seemed to be going off course, off the rails, off from safety. The rumbling of the bombs seemed to be making the trains lose their balance and at a fast pace too.

Quickly taking action, Y/n grabbed the handle and twisted it. He panted heavily as pushing the handle basically meant he was pushing the whole train to get back to course. He gritted his teeth as he almost flung himself into the walls as he was able to stabilize the train.

Y/n grabbed the phone, for the control center of the subways, nearby and felt for any vibrations. After repeatedly trying to get someone on the phone, the vibrations suddenly started to rack up. With panic in his eyes, but stability in his voice Y/n shouted.

"I can't hear you right now! There was a bomb attack, and we need to get to the nearest station, NOW! The conductor of this train is dead and there are more passengers' dead in the carts! Contact the police, contact anyone!! Just get us to the nearest stop, damnit!!"

A sudden booming feeling was felt, making the train stumble once again. Y/n hissed as his arms were in bad shape, and him having to stable the train wasn't helping. He hanged up the phone as he put his whole focus on keeping the train in tack.

".../n... Y/... Y/n... Y/N!!"

The ringing in Y/n's ear stopped, but only one kept working. He quickly turned around and noticed that Yosano was standing at the doorway. Y/n's eyes widened when he noticed how bloody, bruised, and cut up Yosano was.

"Yosano!" Y/n shouted, slightly unaware of his screaming. "Are you okay?! What's happening?! What are you doing here?!?"

"... bomber... care... Atsushi... fight..." Yosano said, her words getting lost in Y/n's lack of hearing.

Y/n furrowed his brows. "I can't hear you! I've been hit with two bombs!!"

A look of concern flashed through Yosano's eyes. The train wavered slightly, but nothing too extreme anymore. "The bomber was taken care of!!" Yosano shouted. "However, Atsushi is fighting someone right now!!"

Y/n eyes widened. "He's here!?"

Yosano nodded as she quickly went by Y/n's side. "Down four carts, he's fighting some kid, I think!! What are you doing here anyways?!"

"No time!!" Y/n shouted as he quickly guided Yosano's hands over the handle. "Take care of the train, I need to go to Atsushi!!" He quickly rushed through the cart, stumbling a bit.

"Y/n!!"

Y/n didn't bother to look back at Yosano as he kept running. The carts were all empty, at least, the ones that Y/n passed through. He could see blood lingering on the floor as windows were broken. He also ran by a man with sunglasses in a daze, but he was unscathed so Y/n could only guess that Yosano dealt with him.

Y/n suddenly came across the fourth cart's door. Immediately Y/n yanked the door opened and was met with a sight. Atsushi bloodied and bruised as he was standing in front of a young girl, who was unscathed and well. However, the cart around them was cut up and blood lingered everywhere.

"Atsushi!!" Y/n yelled out.

Atsushi's eyes widened as he looked at his higher-up in shock. "Y/n!! Quick we have to get that bomb off of her!!" He warned, pointing at the ticking bomb on the girl's chest.

Y/n's eyes widened. "Hold on, I got it!"

"My name is Kyoka," the girl suddenly said making Atsushi and Y/n widened their eyes more. "I killed 35 people... I don't want to kill anyone ever again!" She stepped backwards, falling out of the cut-up door of the train, which was over a river.

"NO!!" Atsushi yelled out in horror; he jumped out of the door with Kyoka.

"Atsushi!!" Y/n shouted after the tiger as he followed suit.

Atsushi reached for Kyoka, straining his arm to reach further and further than what it's supposed to. Tears escaped his eyes as he was just out of reach. He wouldn't be able to save Kyoka from her fate.

Suddenly, a flash of dark (f/c) matter was seen in Atsushi's peripheral vision. Atsushi and Kyoka's eyes widened when their fall to the water was softened, but the impact still shocked the two into unconsciousness.

Y/n used the darkness of the water to use his ability to rip the bomb away from Kyoka's body, and to bring her and Atsushi closer to his body. He shielded the two as the bomb went off underwater, creating a shockwave that pushed the trio back since Y/n was holding on to them.

Y/n's eyes softened slightly, knowing that everything was okay now. He quickly held Atsushi and Kyoka over water as he pulls them to the shore. He panted and cough, water soaking his hair and clothes along with the younger two. He hissed in pain as he laid on his side, coughing up water.

Y/n could feel his body burn from the backlash of his ability as the feeling in his nerves start to lessen. He glanced at Kyoka and Atsushi, seeing them breathing fine he smiled softly. Sooner or later, feeling the blood drip from his forearm, ear, and back, Y/n slowly closed his eyes. A comfortable frown on his lips as he slept soundly.

'Atsushi... you're safe...'
