"Chuuya," the redhead introduced himself. "Nakahara Chuuya. And since I get to call you by your first name, just call me Chuuya."

Chuuya was still working, at least that's what he kept telling himself in his head. He thought that taking a small detour would've been relaxing, as to why he was in the cafe waiting for his drink to be made. He was having a good day, until a bunch of people started to flood the cafe, it was rush hour.

Chuuya grumbled to himself, just wanting his drink so that he can leave and finish the assignment he was given. However, with more and more people walking in, it seemed like his drink would never be made. He was pissed about this, and it seemed that people around him noticed too. They stayed away from Chuuya, much to his amusement and thankfulness. However, one person seemed to stray closer than others.

"Hi, is it okay if I sit here with you?" A man questioned.

Chuuya looked up at the man, until his eyes widened when seeing what the person looked like. A tall figure with muscles that are hidden in the clothes that he was wearing. Hair that covered his eyes as a soft smile painted his face like rain on leaves. The man was stunning, not even Chuuya could lie to himself about that.

Chuuya cleared his throat, glaring at the beauty in front of him unconsciously. "I could care less what you do," he said, pulling his hat down closer to his eyes. "Make yourself comfortable, I guess..."

The man towering over Chuuya tilted his head unconsciously, making the messy hair move slightly, showing one of his eyes. He seemed to give Chuuya a closed eyed smile, which caught Chuuya off guard for a moment.

"Thank you," the man said with a dashing smile, he sat down across from Chuuya as he kept his kind smile. "You know, I've never seen someone's hair like that before, it looks really nice on you."

Compliments were something that Chuuya was not used to. In fact, he flinched slightly. Not wanting this seemingly stranger to see him flustered, Chuuya looked away. "You're just saying that... Thank you, I guess."

The man chuckled. Oh god. Chuuya could feel the warmth and vibrations from that man's chuckle from where he was sitting. A small rumbling feeling went through Chuuya's chest, his heart. This man was stunning, beautiful, and, most importantly, hot. Could such a human being exist? No, this couldn't be a human. Maybe... some sort of god?

"No really," the man pushed, "your hair really is pretty. The color and the style are something I wouldn't have thought of before for someone." He put a hand on his, rather large, chest as he smiled warmly at Chuuya. "I'm L/n Y/n, but please, just call me Y/n."

Y/n? Such a beautiful name for a beautiful person, it fit so well with the man. Chuuya managed to calm himself finally. It was odd for him to fall out of character, or out of focus, when on the job. Maybe going on a detour was a bad idea. But... if he didn't, he wouldn't have known that such a person existed. Beautiful, warm, and...

...naive.

Chuuya met his fair share of idiots in his life that wanted to date him for his looks. He knew how people were like when they suddenly see an attractive person and want to date them without knowing what they do for a living. However, this 'Y/n' person was different. It was obvious that this man didn't want a relationship, he just wanted to be acquainted. Young, beautiful, and naive to people around him. It made Chuuya want to laugh.

But what's the fun in laughing at someone? Chuuya, instead of hollering at Y/n - instead of laughing his ass off at the fact that Y/n didn't know that he was part of the Port Mafia, he raised a brow in curiosity. Y/n intrigued him, he wanted to see if Y/n could entertain him for the time being.

"Chuuya," the redhead introduced himself, his smile being hidden. "Nakahara Chuuya. And since I get to call you by your first name, just call me Chuuya."

Y/n smiled at Chuuya, his hair covering up his eyes like usual. "Say, Chuuya, you don't seem like one to enjoy crowds like these. What made you come to this cafe specifically? I don't know much about the places around here; is this cafe like super popular?" He questioned.

"You ask a lot of questions, don't you?" Chuuya pointed out with a sigh, as he leaned back in his seat. The hardened look on his face seemed to have relaxed. "I came here when rush hour wasn't going on, now I'm stuck here until I can get my drink. As for popularity? Only during rush hour since this cafe in right in the middle of everything.

"But, hey, enough about me. What about you? Why are you here? You look like you don't like crowds just like me. Makes me wonder why you are here in the first place."

"I'm actually here on an errand for my boss," Y/n said patting the folder he had rest on the table. "I decided to take a small detour and drink something to wake me up."

Chuuya perked up at this. "What a coincidence, I'm on an errand for my boss too. Stopped by just for a break, ya know?"

Y/n chuckled. "Yeah, I get that. I work long hours, night and day. At first, my boss wouldn't allow me to, but I managed to convince him that it was alright."

Chuuya looked to the side as he remembered Mori. "Same here, except I just work almost every day. I didn't use to but after an incident I had to step up and I didn't really mind it."

"Haha, reminds me how my boss cares a lot for his workers," Y/n chuckled as he remembered how Fukuzawa practically forced him to have at least one day off from working.

"I guess, same here. My boss usually gifts us on rare occasions," Chuuya mumbled remember how Mori actually bought him a months' worth of wine after a life-or-death mission; he downed it in a week. "Although, my boss is very strict when it comes to when or how a certain work needs to be done." Mori did almost eliminate a whole division for screwing up during a mission.

Y/n scratched his cheek with his finger. "I guess, that's just a boss thing. Being strict is always needed in a business field..." He remembered how Fukuzawa always has a deadpanned look on his face, it was hard to tell what he wanted. "But they always have a soft spot for... something in life, ya know?" Fukuzawa loved cats; Y/n caught him trying to feed some of the strays outside the buildings.

"But a soft spot can be a little freaky with how far they can go..." Chuuya mumbled remembering Mori and his 'daughter'. It made him shiver.

"Ah, you got me there..." Y/n pointed out, remembering how Fukuzawa literally meowed at a cat to get its attention. Y/n thought he was dreaming.

"Drinks for L/n and Nakahara!" The barista shouted over the crowded cafe.

'What a coincidence...' Both Y/n and Chuuya thought as they glanced at each other.

The two made small conversation as they collected their drink and had walked out of the cafe with ease. As they walked, they noticed that they were both going down the same direction. It confused both of them when they were now walking down an alleyway that they needed to go down. They both paused and looked at each other once again.

"I have to go down here," Y/n pointed out as there was a long, dark, alleyway in front of him and Chuuya.

"Weird..." Chuuya mumbled. "I have to go down there too."

Y/n let out a small chuckle. "I'm starting to think that this is more than a coincidence..."

"Yeah..."

The two now went down the dark alleyway. There was no conversation, instead it was a blanket of seriousness of the two, they were in working mode. As they both strayed closer and closer down the alleyway, they come up to a rundown town home. No living thing in sight as it was four stories high with rubble, graffiti, and trash scattered all over.

Chuuya and Y/n stopped for a moment, taking in the sight before them. Y/n narrowed his eyes before pulling out a pen and writing something in the folder. He looked worried and Chuuya picked up on it.

Chuuya raised a brow. "What's that for?" He questioned Y/n's actions.

"Just need to do this for the boss," Y/n answered. "I collect information that my boss needs on some occasions."

Chuuya let out a small scoff as he bushed his hand over the walls that seemed like they would crumble at any given moment. "What are you, part of the police of some sort?"

Y/n sighed as he and Chuuya entered the town home, still taking notes as he's doing so. "You can believe that if you want, Chuuya. I don't really do much other than collect information."

Chuuya raised a brow at Y/n. Was he part of the Mafia and Chuuya hasn't informed on it? Or was Y/n some rando who really does just collect information for the police. Either way, what use could Y/n be to him if he's here.

Y/n and Chuuya climbed up the stairs to the third floor. The two examined the room, one taking mental notes, the other actual notes. The only thing that could be heard was the pen that Y/n was writing with and the creaking of the ceiling above.

Y/n suddenly paused his writing. He narrowed his eyes as he slightly pointed ears twitched slightly. He carefully looked up and then turned to Chuuya. "Hey, Chuuya?" He called out, his voice suddenly soft and careful.

Chuuya turned to Y/n with a confused look. "What is it?" He questioned. "I'm sort of doing something here."

A comfortable frown was on Y/n's lips as he looked directly at Chuuya. "Are you an ability user?"

Chuuya narrowed his eyes at Y/n. "And you're asking why?"

"Are you an ability user or not, Chuuya? I just need to know."

"I am."

"What... type of ability user are you?" Y/n asked, his voice was steady, too steady, and firm, almost like he was commanding Chuuya to answer him.

"'Upon the Tainted Sorrow'," Chuuya answered, lowering his head as he is now highly on guard. "I can control gravity."

"Good... Because I think we got trouble coming in soon."

Chuuya raised a brow in confusion. "Wha-"

The roof above Y/n and Chuuya suddenly started to crumble. Dust and rubble flew around the two as Chuuya looked up in shock of what's happening. He was about to shout but the fourth floor began to crumble down. Y/n was quick to have grabbed Chuuya and pulled him away from the falling rubble.

Dust and rocks flew around Y/n and Chuuya as the dust slowly began to clear up. Chuuya coughed as he looked up quickly to see what have caused the collapse. His eyes suddenly widened when he says a murky, dark, ink-like creature standing before him. It groaned as its voice gurgled in a sickening manner.

"What... What the hell is that?!" Chuuya shouted, getting into a defense position.

The creature gurgled once more as it moved like polluted water.

"That is a bundle of energy called a Rudimentary Paradox," Y/n explained as he narrowed his eyes at the creature. A small cut was on his cheek from the sudden collapse of the fourth floor. "That thing is born from an egg."

Chuuya irked as he used his ability to raise the rubble around him. "What the fuck does that supposed to mean?!"

Y/n couldn't help but scoff as he rolled his eyes. "It's basically a huge mass of human negativity taking a physical form that is scientifically created to into an egg. Now that the egg has hatched it turns into... that mess. How the egg got here I have no idea, but if we don't want more of those things in the city, we have to destroy that creature to stop it from having more eggs planted."

Chuuya could only shake his head as he scoffed. "I have no idea what you're talking about but destroying that thing is something that I will happily do." He shouted, "Upon the Tainted Sorrow!" Rubble and debris from the fallen floor lifted into the air with a tint of red to them.

Y/n sighed as he picked up his folder from the ground and shut it closed. "And here I hoped that this would be a peaceful errand run." He narrowed his eyes at the newly born Paradox and yanked a pole from out of the debris, using it as his weapon.

"Time for a late abortion..."
