Y/n let out a soft sigh as he brushed a bit of hair out of Atsushi's face. He, Atsushi, and Kunikida were currently in the infirmary of the agency. Atsushi was sleeping peacefully on the bed, Kunikida was 'reading' a book, and Y/n was there to supervise Atsushi's well-being.
Y/n gazed at Atsushi's sleeping expression with a solum glint in his eyes. He leaned back in his chair, remembering what had happened in the alleyway. He couldn't help but feel a bit useless during that time since he didn't use his ability all that much to help.
However, Y/n just shook his head. He promised himself that he wouldn't use his ability to kill anyone, not again at least. Those memories haunted Y/n's dreams after all, the only things that can help him at this point were his nightmares, which was just him sitting alone in a dark room. It was terrifying but better than hearing the screaming of his past victims.
"How's he doing?" Kunikida asks, as he looked up from his book and at Y/n.
"He should be waking up soon," Y/n stated, glancing out the window, "Hopefully, though. Any longer and we might have to send him to the hospital."
Kunikida noticed the looked Y/n was giving Atsushi along with his tone of voice, he raised a brow, "Have you taken a liking to the young lad?"
Y/n couldn't help but chuckle, crossing his arms in front of his chest, "You can say that. Atsushi is a sweet boy, there's not many people like that out in the world in anymore, ya know? He's so selfless despite everything he's been through."
Kunikida stared at Y/n for a moment. He then looked over to Atsushi, noticing the small twitching of his lips. Kunikida couldn't help but glare at Atsushi with slight jealously. However, he held his words in his throat as he went back to reading his book he had in hand.
A small gasp was heard, making Y/n and Kunikida turn to Atsushi, "Where am I...?" Atsushi asks.
"Ah, you're awake?" Kunikida questioned, "I swear...this could not have come at a busier time..."
"You're in the infirmary," Y/n said as he helped Atsushi to sit up in bed, "Are you alright, sweetie?"
Atsushi couldn't help but blush but give Y/n a little nod, "Uh... I... I am okay... " Suddenly a wave of memories was flashed through Atsushi's head making his eyes go wide. "I was... I got attacked by the mafia, and then..." He paused for a moment before turning alert. "Wait! What happened to Tanizaki and Naomi?!"
Kunikida let out a small sigh, "They're fine. Yasano is treating them in the next room."
"GAAAAARRRGGGHHHH!!!"
Atsushi sweatdropped as his face turned pale, "...Treating?"
Y/n lightly rubbed his forehead from a small headache coming in, "This is normal. You'll get used to it, no worries."
"O-Okay..."
"Listen, lad," Kunikida started making Atsushi look at him, "I heard what happened. You have a seven-billion-yen bounty on your head? Your stock had certainly risen. It's no wonder the mafia's so frantic to track you down."
At this, Y/n couldn't help but wonder: What about him? Although it wasn't really known, nor was it announced to the agency yet, he too was a target, but not for a price. Thee mafia boss wants Y/n for himself, Y/n couldn't help but wonder on what this meant. However, he kept silent on his matter since Atsushi's was much more important.
"Um..." Atsushi said, breaking Y/n out of his thoughts, "Your book is upside down..."
Kunikida's eyes slightly widened as he looked back at his book again. It was indeed upside down. He glanced at Y/n, who just giggled at him. Quietly, and almost comically, Kunikida flipped his book back to the right way.
"I am not agitated!!" Kunikida shouted, "As if any mafia henchmen could ever rattle me!! If they attacked us here and now, I would defeat them!!"
"Okay, Kuni," Y/n said in a tired tone as he placed his hands on Kunikida's shoulders to calm him, "Calm down, love. Yes, I'm sure you can defeat them, but your nerves are getting the better of you right now. Take deep breaths for me, okay?"
Kunikida phsically stopped himself as his face started to cover up with a blush. He followed Y/n's words on keeping his breathing steady while looking away, not wanting to admit that Y/n actually helps him to calm down from his moments.
Meanwhile, Atsushi sits on the bed, thinking to himself, 'The Agency is n all this trouble... because of me... Mr. Kunikida is on edge, and Y/n seems... so tired... Is that all because of me, too? I have...' He clutched the sheets he's under, '...been nothing but a nuisance to them...'
"Hmph," Kunikida huffed as he makes his way to the door with Y/n beside him, "They'll be here before long. You're the one who put us in this position. Start thinking what you yourself can do."
Atsushi didn't say anything. He gulped, which was unaidable, and looked at the back of his superiors with slight horror. He didn't know what to do. What can he even do? He is nothing but a street rat that the agency picked up. What was even his point of being here? Being alive?
"By the way, lad," Kunikida said once more, "Do you know where my glasses are? I've been looking for them."
"Uh..." Atsushi mumbled with dots for eyes.
"Oh, god..." Y/n sighed out, he reached up to Kunikida's head and brought his glasses down back to his face.
There was a moment of silence.
Kunikida couldn't help but flush in embarrassment, "Thanks..." He muttered out as he quickly leaves the room.
Y/n couldn't help but chuckle a little as he crossed his arms, "What would this agency do without me...?" He mumbled to himself before turning to Atsushi and saying, "We will leave for home in a few minutes. Now that you're awake, I'm sure you can rest at home. Is that alright with you, sweetie?"
"Uh, yeah, okay," Atsushi said, just above a whisper.
Y/n smiled with a nod as he left the room, leaving Atsushi alone with his thoughts. Atsushi stared at the door that Y/n had left from. His hands clutched into a fist, making his knuckles turn white and the sheets wrinkled below him. He swore that if he gripped any harder, his hands would start to bleed.
'I'll leave in the early morning,' Atsushi thought to himself, tears threatening to spill, 'I'll leave in order to not bother anyone else... In order to not bother Y/n...'

Y/n hummed to himself as he was cooking breakfast. He let out a small yawn as the smell of freshly made eggs and pancake filled the kitchen. Last night, Y/n had to take some paperwork home, so he had stayed up pretty late. He just hoped that he didn't wake Atsushi up when he went to get his coffee early in the morning.
"Sweetie!!" Y/n called out as he turned off the stove, "Breakfast is ready!"
However, after a few moments there was no replay. Y/n raised a brow as he had already plated the food and was ready to eat. But due to his nature, Y/n wouldn't eat if not everyone was at the table.
Y/n walked up the stairs, leaving the food on the dining table, "Sweetie? Atsushi, it's time to eat! I can't have you go to work on an empty stomach! It just seems uncomfortable if you do..."
Y/n raised a brow once more as he knocked on the bathroom, thinking that Atsushi was inside. However, it was unlocked, and no one was there. Y/n furrowed his brows as he didn't hear anything, nor feel any vibrations of footsteps.
"Atsushi?" Y/n questioned as he opened the door to Atsushi's room, "Huh...?"
Instead of seeing a sleeping Atsushi on the futon, Y/n saw that the futon had been neatly folded, and a note lingered on top of it. Y/n raised a brow and read the note that Atsushi had left. It was a thank you and a goodbye note, basically saying that Atsushi was very grateful that Y/n had took him in.
Y/n pouted, "What about breakfast...?"
