'I wonder...'

Everyone loves dreams.

Dreams coming true is everything anyone wants in life. They are supposed to be loving, amazing, and so fantasy-like it was almost impossible to gain. When someone achieves their dream, they are praised and looked up to. When someone doesn't, they are praised for trying and are pushed to keep going.

Everyone hates nightmares.

Nightmares coming true are always horrific. No one wants them to come true. Nightmares are horrible to think of, just talking about nightmares sends a shiver down anyone's spines. If a nightmare were to come true, everyone thinks that the world will spiral into chaos. Everyone, no matter who they are, begs every day for their nightmare to never come alive.

Dreams are praised. Nightmares are shunned. They are both very different and no one can lie. One is loved, the other is hated. One brings light, the other brings fear. However, how do we know what brings which?

What would happen if someone's dreams were everyone's nightmare? Would it still be called a dream? Would that dream still be seen as something to praise? Dreams are everything, everyone loves dreams, so why can't they love this dream? It is a dream, is it not?

What would happen if a nightmare was actually good? Would it still be seen as a nightmare, no matter how much better it would be for other people? People will still see it as a horrible thought, they will try to stay away from it as much as they can. Nothing will change. No one will change their mind no matter how good the 'nightmare' may seem.

One's dream can be everyone's nightmare, and no one will bat an eye. One's nightmare will always be a nightmare, and everyone will hate and despise it no matter what. The horror in dreams, and the divine in nightmares will always be overlooked. The monster and the angel will only be seen as their label, not for how they act.

They are what they say, and everyone follows those rules only. Unless the monstrous nightmare disappears is when people will start seeing its true beauty. Or they won't. That's up to what the angel wants the people to see.

'...who is the real nightmare.'
