[ Gary/S = Gary in Sam's Body
Sam/G = Sam in Gary's Body ]
BAR
[ ☾]
Gary/S slurps on a alcoholic drink. "Do you want to get out of here with me?" A Woman asks him.
"Are we talking about sex?"
"Well, I, uh-" The Woman laughs. "Yeah. I suppose we are."
Gary/S inhales sharply. "Crystal, I would love to have the sex with you." He says.
Crystal chuckles. "Great. Then let's go. Love that jacket on you, by the way." She says.
"Thanks...The whole outfit is new." We pan on Sam and the camera turns to a mirror. As it turns out, it's not Sam, but a young boy. He smiles wickedly.
DAYS EARLIER
HOUSE
[ ☼ ]
A Woman, Donna, is talking to Elena and the boys. Donna's daughter Katie is sitting on the couch with her along with her husband. "So, how long has it been?" Donna asks.
"The summer before 6th grade." Sam says.
"Mm-hmm. I remember. You assigned yourself your own reading list." Don says.
Dean chuckles. "That's right. I forgot about that." He says.
"Your mom happens to be the best babysitter we ever had." Sam says.
"Well, when I was a maid at the mayflower, out on the interstate-long before you were even an idea-their daddy used to pass through town and leave the boys with me...work. One time, he was gone for two weeks."
"Two weeks?" Katie asks.
"Mm-hmm. Oh, he'd always come limping back. He loved you boys." Says Donna.
"Did you know what he did all that time?" Asks Katie.
"Little Sammy kept trying to tell me. Of course, I didn't believe him. Not at first, anyway." Donna says.
Sam inhales sharply. "Happened to be an expert at getting rid of ghosts. And now, so are we." He says.
"That's why I called them, sweetie. They can help us." Donna says.
"Sounds like you guys got yourself a poltergeist." Elena says.
"Started a month or two after we moved in." The Father says.
"Yeah, first i-it was, uh, just bumps and knocks and, uh, scratches on the walls." Donna says. "And then it started breaking things."
"And then it attacked Katie?" Sam asks.
"That was two nights ago." Says the Dad.
"Can you show them, honey?" Donna asks as Katie nods and shows them her bruises.
"Murdered Chylde" Sam says.
"Katie, Everything's gonna be fine. I promise. Why don't you guys take yourselves a little vacation, and, uh, we'll take care of it." Dean says.
Donna sighs. "Thank you." She says.
DINER
[ ☼ ]
Gary, the Young Boy, is wearing a ridiculous hat. "Uh, bacon burger turbo, large chili-cheese fry, a grilled cheese, uh, and A Health Quake Salad shake?" He says.
"I know. I know. It's, uh." Dean clears throat. "It's not mine." Dean sighs and sits down. Sam is shaking his drink. "Oh, you shake it up, baby." He clears throat.
"Is that a protein shake?" Elena asks.
"You know, poltergeist aside, Donna looked pretty good, don't you think?" Dean asks.
"Dude, don't tell me you've still got the hots for our babysitter." Sam says.
"What? no. That's weird." Dean chuckles. "I'm just saying that she, you know, she-she's-she's doing good. You know, with her husband, her kid. This whole Amityville thing being thrown at them, and they're hanging tough."
"Yeah." Sam says.
"You ever think that you'd want something like that? Wife, rugrats, the whole nine?" Dean asks.
Sam shakes his head. "I've thought about it before, but no, not really my thing anymore." He says as he briefly glances at Elena.
"Yeah. What do you got?" Dean asks.
"Uh, well, that house of theirs, it's old-really old. Um, hundreds of years. And I found a legend." Sam says.
"Saying?" Dean asks.
"Supposedly, in the 1720s, House was owned by a guy named Isaiah Pickett. Legend has it he hung a woman in his backyard for witchcraft-a woman named Maggie Briggs." Sam says.
"Okay, so an angry ghost witch?"
"If it's true. That still doesn't explain what "murdered Chylde" means." Sam says.
"No or where the bitch is buried." Says Dean.
"You know, I mean, it's a long way back, but I can see if I can find something in the town records." Sam says.
"It's worth a shot." Elena says.
Dean and Elena are still in Diner as the Manager yells at Gary. "Gary! Curly fries are up!" He yells.
"So, any luck?" Dean asks Sam in the phone.
"Bubkes. Can't even find proof a woman named maggie briggsexisted, much less where she was planted." Sam says. He's walking in the woods.
"Okay. Well, we've got a minute to breathe here. Let's pick it up first thing." Dean says.
"You bet. See you in a few." Sam says as his cellphone beeps and the wood creaks. "Aah!"
Later, Sam wakes up on the ground and inhales sharply. "What..." Sam starts.
"Yeah, this is Collins out on route 30. I think we got him." An Officer says and a Siren chirps. "Mr. frankel? Mr. Gary frankel?"
"Who?" Sam asks.
"Your family's worried sick about you, son." The Officer says.
"My-my family? .. My brother called you?" Sam asks.
"Come on get in before you freeze solid."
"Thanks but, uh, w-where are we?" Sam asks. They appear in front of a house.
"You're home, son."
"N-no, officer, I-I'm not staying here." Sam says.
"Gary! Oh, my god! Gary! oh, god! Gary!" A Woman yells as she runs out of the house.
"Oh, hey!" Sam says.
"Are you all right?" She chuckles nervously. "Oh!"
"Okay. okay. okay. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. W-what's going on here?" Sam/G asks.
"What do you mean?"
"Lady, who are you?" Asks Sam/G.
"Young man, are you drunk?" The Dad asks.
"And who are you?"
"Gary, are you drunk? Answer your father." The Mother asks.
"My father? Look, I-! Who is that?! Who the hell is that?!" Sam yells.
"He's out of his gourd. Young man, I'm very surprised at you." The Father asks.
"Yeah. Tell me about it." Sam/G says.
MOTEL ROOM
[ ☾]
"Oh, yeah. Bring it! Holy crap." Gary/S says when he spots Dean.
"Sam. Where the hell you been, man? I've been trying to call you for hours." Dean says.
"I picked up some food. Bacon burger turbo, large chili-cheese fry, right?" Gary/S asks. "Sorry, man. really. I-I just-I lost track of time. I didn't mean to freak you out."
"Thanks. Don't know why it took you two hours, but thanks." Dean says.
"Oh, you're gonna want to eat that on the road."
"Why?" Elena asks.
"The maid came in, saw that, and now they're all kind of freaking out." Gary/S says.
"Why'd you let the maid in?"
"It just happened." Says Gary/S.
"Whatever. I got to hit the head, and then we'll take off." Dean says.
"All right. I-I'll be outside."
PARKING LOT
[ ☼ ]
Dean closes the door to the Impala as he slides into the front seat. "Hey, you ready?" He asks.
"Absolutely. Hey, can I drive?" Gary/S asks as he closes his own door. Dean sighs and gets out as he and Gary/S trade places. "Oh, this is so sweet!" He revs the engine.
"You want to get the lead out, Andretti? Come on. Reverse. Reverse!" Dean yells and the tires squeal. "It's in reverse."
"I am really, really sorry." Gary/S says.
"Shut up."
GARY'S HOUSE
[ ☼ ]
"So, this is Dean's other, other cell, so you must know what to do."
"Dean, I've called every phone we got. Where are you, man?" Sam/G asks as he checks himself out in the mirror. "So this is gonna sound crazy, really crazy but-I think I'm in the wrong body." He chuckles nervously. "Could use a little help here. I-I think I got asthma. Call me back." He dials another number.
"Lucky Star Motel." A Man says on the other line.
"Hello, uh, could you please connect me to room 102?" Sam/G asks.
"102? Nah, man, those guys checked out middle of the night."
"Wait-"guys"? Plural?" Sam/G asks.
"Yeah-one leather jacket, one Sasquatch. They left." The Man says and hangs up.
Sam/G looks around the room. "Who are you?" Sam/G sighs and finds a lot of textbooks. "Smart Kid." He sees a lot of Star Wars themed items and scoffs. "Virgin. Frustrated virgin." He looks under the bed. "Witchcraft, huh, Gary? You little satanic bastard."
"Gary! breakfast!" The Mother yells.
"Leave me alone." Sam/G says.
"Gary!"
"All right, I'm coming!" Sam/G yells.
Later, Sam/G is sitting at the table with Gary's family. "So, Gary, I'd like to know what happened last night." The Father asks.
Sam/G scoffs. "So would I. believe me." He says.
"I mean, what happened with the plan, buddy?" The Dad asks.
"The plan?" Sam/G asks.
"S.A.T.s, M.I.T. The plan. You want to be an engineer, you need a full ride. So, tell me, how does getting drunk fit with the plan?"
"Right, yeah. Listen, buddy, no offense, but at the moment, I could give a rat's ass about your plan." Sam/G says.
"Excuse me?"
Sam/G chuckles. "Listen, h-have I seemed, uh, moody lately? Withdrawn?" He asks.
"Wow. Any-any occult fixations?" Gary's sister asks.
"What?" The Mom asks.
"Let me guess-I'm amazing at latin." Sam/G says.
