Home alone
Yohio's POV
So... me and my little brother, Oliver, are stuck home alone, as our mum and dad are out somewhere to spend 'quality time'. They left the house, leaving me and Oliver home alone.
Not knowing what to do, we sat in front of the TV and just mindlessly watched whatever was on.
About and hour later, Yohio remembered that he needed to do something.
"I'll be back Oliver, I will be in my bedroom if you need me."
"Okay." The younger blond absent-mindedly said, intrigued in what was going on in the TV.
"Oh, and make sure you have your spare key with you."
"Okay... why?" Oliver paid his full attention to me, a concerned look on his face.
"Just in case."
He looked at me, still quite concerned. I chuckled a little bit. "Don't worry, I'm just going to be playing a video game in my room."
Oliver relaxed, letting out a sigh of relief.
"If you need anything, knock on my door, okay?"
"Okay."
He turned attention back to the TV and i walked up to my room. I walked to my school-bag and grabbed a hand-held game console. The colour was a deep red. I had accepted this dare when my friends were talking about it...
~Flashback~
"Yohio!"
"Yes?"
"Remember the game that everyone was talking about?"
"Lavender Town?"
"Yeah."
"What about it?"
"I did the level and nothing happened to me!"
"Okay..."
"I dare you to try it!"
"Fine, challenge accepted!"
"Yeah, remember to lock your windows and doors, and play in the dark."
"Okay then...?"
~Flashback ended~
I turned on the game boy and loaded the game "Pokemon Green and Red". I selected the second slot and waited for the screen to load. When it did, a shrill tone came from the console, as it was in full volume. It wasn't too annoying at first, but as the music progressed, it got more shrill. I covered my ears and threw down the console.
I thought for a little bit. If I chickened out now, Yuuma won't let me hear the end of it. I sighed and picked up the console again, continuing to play. After a while of listening to the soundtrack while playing on the level, my head felt strange. It was as if someone was crushing my skull. I keep on hearing people whisper to me... I don't know much of what they say, but I can hear them tell me that I am dead.
Oliver's POV
Its been about a couple of hours and I was starting to become hungry. That and I haven't seen Yohio during that time period.
I put my spare key into my pocket and went up to my older brother's bedroom. I could hear a muffled tone from behind the door, and as far as i could tell, it sounded terrible!
I knocked on the door first. I was greeted by silence. I tried to open the door, but it was locked, so I used my spare key.
As i entered the room, the shrill tone got louder. I covered my ears, and looked around the room for Yohio. I found him sitting on his bed, a hand-held console placed next to him. I grabbed it and placed it on his bedside table and attempted to get hi attention, but he just stared blankly, not even looking at me.
"Yohio?"
I waved my hand in front of his face and even poked it a few times. He didn't even bother to face me. This was creepy, but i decided to let him get over what ever had happened to him and went towards the door to exit the room. I turned the knob, but i couldn't. I tried my key, but it wouldn't fit in the keyhole. I turned around, to find Yohio had moved towards a now open window, stil staring blankly.
I walk up to him, and finally, he turns his attention to me. His eyes were still blank, but you could see something that looked like a child-like, sinister insanity.
"All alone its creeping up, behind you..."
I looked behind me, there was no one, or nothing, there.
"In the dark, where nobody will find you."
"Time... stands... still... your... breaths are slow and shaky.
Yohio said that, with a voice that sounded like he was having difficulty breathing and was about to cry.
I never took my eyes off of him, my eyes widened and my heart pounding as i breathed heavily, anticipating wat my brother would do next.
He turned to face the open window. I walked towards him. I didn't want to do anything brash. What would i do if he tried?
"Did that shadow by the window bekon for me to come follow..."
He walked up to the window, and my first instinct was to latch on to him and try to keep him away from the window. He seemed to not have noticed me, and was dragging me along with him. I was scared. I didn't want the both of us to die. I tried to get his attention by crying.
As a twelve-year-old boy, my first defence is to cry and hope he stops. But he didn't. He looked down at me, and got himself away from my grip. He was seemingly strong, and soon, I was left to watch as my brother walked towards the window...
He leant over the window sill, reaching out for an invisible thing. I knew I still had a chance to save my brother. I watched a little bit more... most of Yohio's body was already out the window. I ran up to him, and tried to grab him, but, before i knew it, his body fell out of the window.
"NO! HIO-NII!!!!!!"
Just as those horrifying events occured, the front door unlocked. Was it mum and dad?
"Oliver? Yohio? We're back~!"
I ran down to them, crying, as I had witnessed the death of my elder brother. They looked at me, shocked and confused.
"Ollie? What happened?"
"Hio-nii... he killed himself..."
Not a word was spoken. I knew that they probably wouldn't believe me, so I took them outside quickley to where Yohio lay.
His body lay still, blood coming from his head. His arms were obviously broken, as he fell head-first.
Mum and dad called for an ambulance, but he could not be saved.
The game... i remember... he played it before he died... I only got a brief look... it was called...
Lavender Town
A/N: Another horror story... yay! This was based on a conversation me and my sister had when i showed her parted of the song. I asked her "What would you do if Yohio said this to you?" (The part where he says those things to Oliver.) Anyways, enjoy... and i dont suggest listening to this song really late at night. o-o
