Your POV
After she said those words I felt weird inside. Why would she call me and Laurence mommy and daddy? I looked at her confused. She had light brown hair with green eyes. Her hair had a yellow bow in the back.
"W-What do you mean?" Asked Laurence.
"H-Huh? Oh! I'm sorry! I just...you two remind me of them. You remind me of my mommy and daddy that's all." She said blushing.
"Oh! It's fine Ushi. You can come with us!" I said.
"R-Really? You mean it?" Asked Ushi.
"Of course we do! No one deserves to be alone with no home. Especially if they're hurting." Laurence said. She smiled bright. And hugged us tight.
"Oh thank you so much! And do you mind if I call you, mommy and daddy?" She asked. A strange feeling came inside me.
"Uh...s-sure. Of course you can!" Said Laurence.
"Yay!" She said exitedly. I stood up. Ushi was very small compared to me.
"Can I ride on your shoulders, daddy?" Asked Ushi to Laurence. He paused.
"Yes! You can." He said and got on his knees. Ushi climbed Laurence's shoulders. He held onto her feet.
"Whoa! I'm so high up here!" She said. I giggled. We walked back home.
