At Lucinda's locker after school

"H-hey L-Lucinda?" I ask.
"Yes?" She asks looking up at me. "W-will you go t-to the high school dance with me?" I ask handing her a rose. Lucinda blushes looking very surprised. "Y-yes! Of course!" She replies giving me a big hug. I hug back, breathing a sigh of relief. She said yes!
"Hey you two!" Garroth says looking amused. "Did Lucinda say yes?" Lucinda nodded. "Great job Laurence!"
"Thanks." I said. "Now...umm Laurence." Garroth asked. "Can we talk?"  "Sure!" I say happily. "Lucinda will you excuse me for one moment?" "Sure." Lucinda replies. "But only for a moment!" She adds with a smile. I think how cute she is as a walk away with Garroth.

"Sooo." I ask. "What's so important that you can't say in front of Lucinda?"
"It's not about Lucinda.." Garroth says. "It's about your sister, Cadenza." "I-I think I might like her..." "Wait..what?!" I exclaim. "But you two barely know each other." "Well...we really do.." Garroth admits. "Sometimes after school we hangout at the park." "Why didn't you or Cadenza tell me!" I said frustrated that Garroth had lied to me.
"I'm sorry about that..." "And well..I just wanted to ask her to be my date to the dance.." Garroth said blushing. "What?!" I say agian. "But Garroth she's my sister and your my best friend..I don't think I could handle it." I say. "Please Laurence, I need your permission." Garroth says. "But Cadenza is in 8th grade." I explain. "And this is a high school dance." "Yes but on the flyer is says that 8th graders can come if they have a freshman be their date." Garroth replies. "And... " Garroth blushes. "I think Cadenza likes me too." I sigh. "Fine...go for it Garroth." "You have my blessing."
