Tipsy Pt. II
... I fixed it. 🙃

"Lauren?" I question aloud, making the black-haired girl spin on her heels and abandon the shopping cart half filled with groceries as she ran over to me. I dropped my basket which caused a group of people to stare at us oddly, but I couldn't care less because she basically tackled me into a hug. I missed her.
"Oh my god, Y/n, I- I thought I'd never see you again. I thought you'd moved away or, or something." She rambled as she pulled away from me but didn't let go of my shoulders. She had tears running down her cheeks, which caused my own eyes to sting a little.
"I've been staying at Y/bff's place." I explain and bend down to pick up by basket and retrieve the spilled groceries, which she quickly helps me with.
"I- I wasn't lying, Y/n." She sniffled, wiping her eyes with the back of her hand, and I looked up at her confusedly.
"I've changed." She handed me the red peppers which had rolled around a bit, "I haven't drunk a day since you left. I haven't gotten high or anything, either. I- you can ask the girls, you can ask anyone. I've changed, Y/n; for you." She said quickly and I looked up at her dumbfounded, not really knowing what to say.
"But, I mean, if you don't want too, you know, see me again or anything then I completely understand." She added and looked down at the floor, insecurity evident in her red cheeks and solemn eyes.
"Lauren." I sighed and put the basket down so I could move over and give her a hug, a little awkwardly since we were both still squatting and half-kneeling on the floor.
"I'm so sorry." She announced weakly and I bring a hand to rest on the back of her head soothingly.
"You haven't done anything since I left?" I asked, because maybe I didn't really believe her.
"Nothing." She shook her head and I couldn't help the small smile as I pulled away and stood up, her doing the same.
"Good." I nodded, "You really are a bit of a bitch when you're drunk."
"A bit?" She repeated incredulously, and then a smirk joined her cocked brow, and she added, "Everybody is."
Whether it was the change in her, the way she actually looked so much healthier now, even if she hadn't looked 'unhealthy' before, or that damn smirk and eyebrow raise, I wasn't sure, but a loud laugh came rumbling right from my core and erupted from the surface.
She frowned slightly at me as I bent over and clutched at my stomach, trying to catch my breath but I just couldn't stop laughing.
"Oh god, I've missed you." I breathed when I finally managed to calm myself down.
"Y-you have?" She questioned and the pout on her lips only confirmed it.
"Yeah." I nod, "Yeah, I have."
Hope danced like a flame behind her eyes and a small smile tugged at the corners of her lips.
"Will... would you be willing to give us another chance?" She asked and I had to think about it for a moment. Yeah, she's broken my heart on more than one occasion but they were all because of drugs or alcohol or the pressure of work. Now, without the first two things in her life and with the girls having a few months off, would it actually be different?
I had missed her so much. I loved the girl, of course I missed her.
"If you are, I am." I decided, nodding my head and soon feeling myself wrapped in her embrace again, her lips pressed on mine. This was it. This was what I wanted. Her. Plus, Y/bff has started to discreetly show me that she wanted her sofa back, so this was the best of both worlds.
