Little

(age regression - little Y/n)
...

"Morning, Sweets." Lauren smiles as she boops Y/n's noise, making her giggle. It's not often she wakes up already in her headspace, nor this early, but whenever she does they have the best days together.

"Guh mornin', Mommy." She smiles back, her eyes wide with excitement and adoration. Lauren coos before kissing the spot she just poked and climbing out of bed.

"I'm gonna get dressed, okay, baby? Just stay here." Lauren explains, receiving a nod before turning away. Y/n watches curiously as Lauren moves over to the closet to find herself some clothes for the day.

"Mumma?" Y/n calls out sleepily as Lauren moves into the bathroom to change. Lauren stops in her tracks and looks over her shoulder at the girl sprawled out on her bed, slightly smiling at the wide yawn she's currently having. When she stops, she blinks cutely a few times before smiling again.

"What we do today?" She questions and Lauren squints as she thinks for a moment.

"We can go swimming?" She offers, "Or we can go to the mall?"

"Shoppin' borin'!" Y/n pouts, "An' we goed swimmin' yesterday."

"You're right." Lauren nods, "What do you want to do today?"

"Go to park!" Y/n exclaims as though she was hoping this would be Lauren's answer all along, and the older girl laughs at her antics.

"Well going to the park it is." She nods, repeating her instruction to 'stay there' before getting quickly changed into a white crop top and a pair of airy, mandala-patterned pants.

When she returns to the bedroom to which she left the door cracked open in case Y/n needed her, she sees the girl squirming slightly as though uncomfortable.

"Do you need changing, Sweets?" She asks, already making her way over and patting the bottom of Y/n's onesie. The girl blushes and nods, and Lauren quickly leans down to pick her up.

"Good girl for telling the truth." She praises, knowing that her baby sometimes gets a little shy and embarrassed about these things.

She carries Y/n over to the nursery next door to her room and onto the changing table, making quick work of the task but not before handing Y/n her favourite stuffie for comfort. It's a small rabbit that Lauren got for her for the first Easter they spent together.

"All done." She announces cheerily, patting Y/n's behind a few times and causing the girl to chuckle, "Alright, let's get you all dressed for playing at the park, yeah?"

Y/n nods eagerly and Lauren helps her off of the table before they head on over to her little wardrobe. Lauren let's Y/n pick out an outfit, and they settle on a pair of deep red overalls and a stripy shirt for underneath.

Lauren also brushes Y/n's hair and puts it up into two french braids.

They have pancakes for breakfast, with strawberries and bananas so Y/n can 'get some good food into that little tummy' of hers. They share giggles and jokes as Y/n tells a wild story about how her stuffed rabbit went on an adventure last night while everyone was asleep. Lauren can't help but look on in awe at the girl sitting across from her, moving her hands around in the air to simulate planes swerving around one another.

"Mommy!? Fox an' Rabbit wanna come with us!" Y/n calls out when Lauren tells her to go find her shoes from her wardrobe.

Lauren smiles and replies, "You can bring them, Sugar!"

There's a sound like running and a loud "Yay!" before Y/n returns down the stairs with her animals under one arm and her shoes in the other hand.

Lauren helps her get them one before taking her hand and leading her to the car and into her car seat. She straps her in as Y/n babbles to her toys and moves around to her side of the car, climbing in and driving them to the park.

"Alright, baby. What do you want to go on first?" Lauren asks, looking out at the play park before them. It's pretty much empty, but then again it usually is. There's a teenager smoking something or other on one of the climbing frames (Lauren makes a note to make sure Y/n avoids that area) but apart from that, it's dead.

"Swin's, Mommy!" Y/n announces, pulling Lauren along towards the swing set.

Lauren makes sure she's settled on the swing before asking if she wants to be pushed or to do it herself.

"Um..." Y/n taps her chin with the index finger of the hand with her rabbit in it before smiling, "You push?"

Lauren's own grin grows as she stands and lightly pushes Y/n's swing, starting off with just small movements before getting a bit larger, until Y/n is letting out excited giggles every time she swings.

After a few minutes, Lauren notices her giggles stop and that she's looking around herself. It's only a few seconds later that she says, "Mumma, wan' out."

Lauren stops the swing and reaches over to pull Y/n off and into her arms. She pats the girl's back a few times and looks around the park once more while Y/n puts a small, tickling kiss on Lauren's neck.

"Where to?" Lauren questions, and Y/n shrugs.

"I hung'y." She explains, and Lauren nods, heading to the car where their picnic basket is. With Y/n still perched on one arm, she carries the basket and a blanket over to a grassy area so they can eat. Y/n is being a little quieter than usual, Lauren notices, but she decides not to mention it yet.

"Lau'en?" Y/n says around her sandwich once she's halfway through. Her tone still sounds little, but the use of her proper name tells Lauren she's probably slipping back out of her little space.

"Yes, baby?" She replies, taking a swig of her water. She looks across at the girl sat beside her with a soft expression.

"I love you." Y/n says simply, putting down her food and leaning over to rest her head on Lauren's shoulder.

"I love you too, Y/n." Lauren smiles, "I love you too."
