Y/n POV
I woke up to something crashing in the living room. I jump up and race out of the bedroom. I see Katelyn laying in the floor rubbing her head.
"Hahah! You okay there Katelyn?" I asked while laughing. She gave me a death glare and got up. Laurance came out into the living room yawning.
"What happened?" He asked us.
"Katelyn fell off the couch." I told him. He cracked a smile.
"Oh please, like you guys haven't fallen off of a couch before." Katelyn grumbled.
   I rolled my eyes and went back into the bedroom to get dressed. When I came out Katelyn was threatening to punch Laurance.
"Woah woah woah! What is this all about?" I asked, running in between the two.
"He said Travis and I would make a cute couple!" Katelyn shouted.
"It's true." Laurance said.
"Both of you two stop! We have a purpose for being in Meteli and it's not to argue who would be good with who, even if it is a great ship." I said sternly. Katelyn opened her mouth in protest but I cut her off. "Katelyn is there anything you need to do in Meteli?" I asked her.
   "Aphmau said she wanted me with her when she talked to Lord Hayden." She replied.
   "Okay so looks like we all have something to do then. Let's get ready to go." I told them. They nodded and went to their bags. Laurance went into the bedroom to get dressed and Katelyn went to the bathroom to get dressed.
After they came out we all ate some breakfast and headed out the door. We departed as soon as Laurance and I turned down Emmalyn's street.
I walked up to her door and knocked. I waited awkwardly until she finally opened the door.
"Hi! Come in!" She said cheerfully while opening the door wider. I smiled at her and walked in. It was a cozy little place. I took a seat on her beige couch. Laurance sat down next to me. Emmalyn closed the door and went to a desk and grabbed a book and a pencil. She took a seat across from Laurance and I.
"Tell me everything." She said.
Time skip because I really don't want to write that all out
Her mouth was agape after I finished. She scribbled something else down and look at me in the eye.
"Do you- How?- But that's not- No no. It can't be." She mumbled and ran off to a room. She came back with a stack of books in her arms. She picked up one with a purple cover and flipped through it. She stopped on a page and studied it closely. She wrote more stuff down and repeated this process many times.
"Emmalyn, what does this all mean?" I finally asked her. She looked back up and seemed surprised I actually said something other than the story.
"I think Travis' story is a little off." She told me. I gave her a confused look.
   "Well you see, Lady Irene was technically just a woman but she was more commonly known as a goddess. There are many documents that said she had a child. Rumors say it was with Enki, while others say it was with Death. If you were Lady Irene's child that would explain the wings. Death doesn't have wings but that's why they are black. That also would tell us that you're very powerful. Possibly more powerful than Lady Irene herself." She stopped to let this sink in.
"So I'm possibly with daughter of Death and Lady Irene? But that doesn't explain why I went from the future and then back here." I told her.
   "Ah you see, that is when your origin comes in. If you truly are the daughter of Lady Irene and Death, you might be able to time travel. I know it sounds absolutely absurd but it might be true. Irene can transcend realms and Death can do some crazy things with time. With both of those combined...." She trailed off. Laurance and I understood what she meant.
"Okay but Travis said my mom died after childbirth." I said, obviously confused.
"I guess that was just a cover up for Irene. She wouldn't want her enemies to know about her daughter." Emmalyn answered. I nodded.
"Okay. Well that is a lot to take in." I finally said.
   "It really is. Emmalyn, when are you coming back to Phoenix Drop?" Laurance asked.
   "Well I was coming back today but I'm going to stay a few more days to gather more research on Lady Irene and Death." She answered.
   "Okay. Just make sure to come get us if you find anything. I think Aph will be leaving soon so we should get going." Laurance told me. I nodded and stood up.
   "Thank you for listening." I told her.
   "Of course." She replied.
   Laurance and I left, closing the door behind us. We walked in silence all the way until we got to the Lord's house. I was about to knock on the door when Aphmau came out.
   "Oh hey. You caught me off guard there." I said after being scared half to death.
   "Heh, sorry. Did you two need something?" She asked.
   "Just wondering if you were all done so we can head back." I said.
   "Oh yup. Do you two know where Katelyn and Travis are?" She asked us. Garroth and Cadenza came up behind her so I guess Katelyn and Travis were the only two not here.
"Katelyn said you wanted her there while you talked to Hayden and I'm not sure about Travis." Laurance replied.
"Huh, weird." Aphmau said. Only two seconds later we heard someone yelling off in the distance.
"THAT'S WHAT YOU GET FOR LOOKING AT MY BUTT!" Someone shouted.
"Sounds like Katelyn." Garroth said while laughing.
We went over to where we heard the noise and saw Travis' face in the dirt. I couldn't help but laugh.
"Hahahahah nice Katelyn!" I said while high fiving her.
We all walked back to the stables joking about Katelyn and Travis. We got in our horses and started our journey back home.
