Laughter at sea

You know, you'd think that being out at sea would be a little bit more, well, eventful. But aside from the occasional rain and the one giant squid, it had been almost normal.
It had been about 2 weeks sense the two brothers had left the little town of Gravity Falls to go out onto the wide ocean, and they were only about halfway towards their destination. Ford had done a good job at modifying the boat, giving it some extra fuel tanks and a handy autopilot, but a ship that small could only go so fast.
So they ended up making a few more renovations. They set up bunk beads like when they were kids, and carved their initials into the bed frame. Even with these projects, the brothers often found themselves with nothing much to do. This was one of those days, and what better way to pass time and catch up with a long lost brother than a good game of would you rather?
"All right" Stanford said from the top bunk, " would you rather: be stuck on an island for 4 years by yourself, or be stuck on the island for only 2 years, but with the worst person you meet in high school?"
He was laying down on his back, head leaning to the side to ask the question.
"Ugh!" Stanly groaned from the bottom bed, also laying on his back to answer his brother.
"Alone thank you very much. I'll have you know I would sooner turn into a lonely recluse like you before I had to spend 2 years with that kid Johnny."
Ford chuckled, knowing his brother wasn't completely serious.
"I'm with you on that one," he said. "Excluding the whole lonely recluse part."
Yeah yeah, whatever point dexter," Stanly responded with a dry tone. "My turn now. Would you rather: only be able to be serious all the time, or never stop joking, even in the most serious moments?"
"So you mean would I rather still be me, or you?" He said sarcastically.
"Hey, I can be serious," Stanly responded. "At least I can take a joke and laugh a little."
"I laugh whenever I hear a good joke, not one of your jokes about your ex-wife." Even as he said it though, he had a slight smirk on his face.
"Oh come on, I've made you laugh." Stanly looked towards his brothers bare foot that was hanging off the bed. 'And if I haven't,' he thought, 'I'll make you in a minute.'
"And you know what? You really don't laugh enough." A mischievous grin was plastered on his face as he said it.
"Hm, well, talk to me once you have something to make me laugh." Ford said, blissfully unaware of the attack that would come.
It had been years sense Stanley had done this, but he had a feeling that nothing much had changed.
"Alright," he said, " you asked for it."
He suddenly scraped at the soles of his brothers foot, making Ford flinch and retraced it.
"S-Stanly," he stuttered, "don't even think about it."
"Oh, but I already have."
Stanly then leaped out from he bottom bunk and on to the top where his brother was. Luckily, because the ceiling was so short, they hadn't made the bunk beds very tall, making it much easier for Stanly to jump up.
He then reached for his brothers feet, tickling wherever he could. This sent Ford into a laughing frenzy.
"AHAHAH, Stanly, WAIT!" But he already knew how this would play out. Just like when they were kids. After all those years in an alternate universe, Ford had thought that he was immune to just about everything. But of corse, their weren't exactly a lot of thing that would tickle you in that alternate universe. And know, he was laughing just as hard as he would laugh as a kid.
"Nohohohoh! Please Stanly!" He pleaded. "STOP!"
"It's too late now, point dexter." Stanly laughed evilly. He was having way too much fun to stop now. But he forgot two important things. 1: Ford knew the only couple of places where he is ticklish. 2: He has an extra finger to tickle with.
Fort took his chance when he got close enough to his brothers leg. He used whatever control he had to quickly spider his fingers on the back of his brothers knees.
"AH!" Stanly shouted as he retracted his hands in order to escape.
"Looks like its my turn." Ford said with a triumphant smile.
He started tickling on the front of his brothers knees, sending him into a fit of laughter.
"HEY! B-bro, ahahahah, stop!" Now Ford was having too much fun to stop.
"I p-promise, ahahahah, I won't do it again!"
"Nice try Stanly," Ford said with a smirk, "but I can see you trying to cross your fingers behind your back."
It wasn't until Stanly's laughs turned to coughing that he finally stopped.
"Whoa, you okay bro?" He asked, suddenly going from playful to concerned.
"I think the better question," Stanly said once he caught his breath, "is 'are you going to be okay?'"
Suddenly, he jumped out at his brother, this time going for under his arms. Now, Ford was once again uncontrollably laughing.
"AHAHAH, YOU JERK! AHAHAHAHAH!"
"What do you know," Stanly said grinning, "guess you can laugh after all."
It seemed that nothing much had changed for the two brothers, and this day clearly showed it, with the two's laughter echoing across the sea.
