Rainbow Dash soared into the air, approaching the Wonderbolt Academy.

The blue pegasus swooped over the field, then climbed several hundred feet and dove, streaking downward as fast as she could, only stopping when she was a few seconds away from the ground and landing in a somewhat graceful manner. Her colleague, Spitfire, who had seemed arrive not very long ago, rushed over to her.

"Hey Dash! Long time no see!" Spitfire gave her a pat on the back. "Heard about your friends. Sorry 'bout them," she apologised.

"No need to be," Dash replied, shaking her head. "So how've you been doing? When's the next practice session?"

"Well I'm good and we just returned from practice a few minutes ago so I think the next session is in...about...3 days. Guess you just missed it. Anyway, I'm gonna go head to the showers," she answered. "Ya can go hangout with Soarin though. Heard he's gonna spend a few more hours at the course," she informed. "Cool. See ya!" Dash simply said before zooming towards the pegasus.

"Soar!" she called, galloping towards the stallion before tackling him to the ground. "If it isn't Rainbow Dash! It's good to see you. Where've you been?" he asked, after getting up. "It's a long st-"

"Wait let me guess, you're a princess ruling Equestria, well at least you will be soon, and you're extremely busy," he guessed. "What?! But how did you know?!" she gasped. "How could I not..."

"Your highness," he bowed with a grin. "Shut up!" Rainbow chuckled, giving him a playful punch. "As you wish, your majesty," he chuckled again with her, his grin still remaining on his face. "Okay, now seriously, stop it. You won't wanna get on my nerves," Rainbow said. "Fine, fine. Sheesh!"

"In other news, you haven't really been present for the last few weeks which means you have a lot to catch up to, Dash. There's a new addition to the obstacle course which I find to be kinda dangerous honestly. So if you're not up to it, don't be afraid to tell me," he informed, trotting along the field. "Please! Danger is my middle name!" she bragged. "So you think you're free for the afternoon?" he asked. "Well umm I don't know. I'm kinda bus-"

"Nah, it's fine. It's a shame you're quitting the Wonderbolts since all of the royal business you have to attend to. I suppose we'll have to lose one of our best flyers."

"Quitting!? But I never said that! You know what, I'm not busy! In fact, my schedule's free for the whole day!" she lied. "Great! Now we can get to practice," he informed, before bending over and doing a racing pose.  Rainbow Dash stared at him intensely. 

"What're you waiting for? Come on!" Soarin asked, giving her a glance. "You think you got this?" he asked her. "Obviously. This is gonna be a piece of cake! Well at least for an awesome pony like me it w-" she boasted, stopping when she was reminded of a certain pony. "I mean, I can totally do this in my sleep!" she rephrased. "If you say so," he sighed, rolling his eyes. "Any questions before we start?" he asked. "Nope!"

"You sure?" he queried. "Absolutely," she reverted.

"Ready?" Soarin started.

"Set?" He continued.

"Go!" They both said in unison.
