It was four days until Christmas and and little girl was awake. Her parents were at work so she was home alone.  She went to her parents room and was looking for her gifts. She found two of them. One was a white box and the other was a wooden box with clowns all over it. The wooden box said "LAUGHING JACK".  She opened the white box and there was a ....phone.... The girl was so excited. So she opened the laughing jack box. The song "pop goes the whistle" was playing. She got scared and put it away. When her parents got home they herd it playing. When it stopped they seen it was open.

      In the box was nothing. They thought it must of gotten bumped. But the little girl seen a man in all stripes and was a clown. She got scared and said nothing. She thought her parents would think she was crazy. So she just went to bed. The next day she was terrified. When she woke up she seen that he was tall. Her mother always told her to stay away from clowns.  All she could see was how tall he was. 

     Then she wanted to see his face so she turned her lamp on. She seen that his outfit was colored in rainbow. She thought even known he was colorful does not mean he is nice. The clown began to speak. He said " Hi my name is Laughing Jack, I am your new best friend!"  The girl was confused. So Laughing Jack said "Well don't be shy I am a nice clown, unlike the ones outside roaming the streets." The girl said "Hi then my name is Sarah nice to meet you!" They both played games until Sarah herd her mom get up. She said " Laughing Jack an you go back in your box?" Laughing Jack answered "Yeah why?"  "Cause my mom is up" Sarah said. Laughing Jack went back to his box.

     When Sarah's mother came in she seen the box and asked where did it come from. Sarah said that her friend gave it to her yesterday. She said that because if it was not from a friend or a relative her mom would through it out.  Her mom told her to get ready to go to the store. After Sarah's mother left she wrote a note to Laughing Jack and opened the box lid and putting the note in it.  She knew that he could only get out when the music was done playing. 

    After she got home from the store her mom made her lunch. After Sarah ate her lunch she went upstairs cause her mom had to go to work. When she got to her room Sarah turned the handle to the box and after the song play Laughing Jack am out. He said " Thank you for the note, no one has every wrote me a note before." Sarah hugged Laughing Jack and said "You are actual my only friend" She said that while tears ran down her eyes. Laughing Jack asked "Why are you crying?" Sarah answered "cause my mom .... my mom said if two guys show up stay upstairs and go in your closet, and I herd a scream. I think it is my mom!" Laughing Jack said "If it was then I will protect you, other people can see me you know. Not just you." laughing Jack hugged little Sarah tightly. 

      A few hours went by and it was about time for Sarah's mom to get home. Around seven p.m is w
