Sketch
The tip of the pencil glided across the paper, leaving behind a trail of blackness that connected and entwined with other lines. The pencil was lifted from the paper, only to be moved to the other side of it to continue it's path there.
The grip on the pencil tightened and the end of it was pressed harder into the paper until it snapped. The broken end rolled down the piece of paper and fell into Jungkook's lap just as he lifted the pencil from the paper.
A single tear rolled down Jungkook's cheek and landed on the paper, causing the paper to darken and the pencil lines to smudge together. Inhaling sharply, Jungkook put down the pencil with a shaky hand before looking down at his drawing.
Kolten's sinister eyes stared back at him- his lips tugged up into a nasty smirk, that revealed his rotten teeth, and his beard was tangled in messy curls. The tattoos covering his shaved skull were drawn precisely, every detail of Kolten burned into Jungkook's mind, not allowing him to forget.
Jungkook's jaw clenched and his features darkened, his hair fell into his eyes, covering the raw hatred in them. Without looking away from Kolten's eyes, Jungkook picked up his pencil before digging the end of it into Kolten's right eye. Jungkook's grip on the pencil tightened as he slashed at the paper with the broken pencil, until Kolten's face was unrecognisable.
Heavy breaths fell from Jungkook's lips and his grip on the pencil tightened as he stared down at shredded paper. Huffing, Jungkook shut his sketch book and threw it in the corner of his cell, allowing the broken pencil to slip from his fingers and land on the ground.
Jungkook sat up in his bed, wincing as he shifted his legs to dangle them over the edge of the bed. He looked down at his exposed legs, pulling the black shorts, that nearly reached his knees, further down. His legs were covered in small scratches that had already began to heal and form scabs over them. On the middle of his left thigh, you could see Jungkook's 9 stitches from his gun wound.
Jungkook placed his elbows on his knees and pressed his face into the palms of his hands. He continued to listen to the sound of Hershel, Carl and Beth talking among each other while sitting on the bottom of the stairs outside of the cells. He couldn't make out what they were saying, only the sound of their murmurs and the emotion in their words.
The sound of distant screams mixed together with the group's murmurs, overpowering their voices and cutting off their conversation. Jungkook's head snapped up and he looked at his locked cell door with furrowed brows, ears straining as he tried to hear more of the screams. The prison was silent, for a second making Jungkook think that the screams were the creation of his mind, only for another high pitched scream to echo throughout the prison.
Jungkook's eyes widened as he listened to the screams coming from the tunnels underneath the prison. The voices of his group resumed and he could hear the panic and confusion filling their words. He listened to them shuffle around before the sound of small footsteps mixed together with a door creaking open.
Jungkook pressed his hands against the bed and pushed himself up to his feet, making sure to not place his injured leg on the ground. Jungkook limped over to the door, hands curling around the bars and leg hovering over the ground.
"Hershel?" Jungkook called out, pressing the side of his face against the cold bars to try and spot them, "Whats going on? Is someone injured?"
Jungkook waited for an answer- brows knitted and lips parted. He ran his tongue over his bottom lip before sinking his teeth into it. His hands tightened around the bars as he began to rattle them, "Hershel! Is everyone alright?" He called out in distress.
The sound of feet smacking against the metal stairs as someone ran up them, caused Jungkook to exhale in relief and press his forehead against the bars. The footsteps came closer to his cell until Beth popped up in front of him, eyes occasionally flickering back to the first floor.
"What's happening?" Jungkook asked firmly, eyes squinting and body straightening as he stared at the blonde girl.
Beth anxiously shuffled on her feet, hands playing with the bottom of her yellow top, "There's...someone in the tunnels. Carl went to check it out and maybe help them."
Jungkook's eyes widened in shock before his face darkened, "Carl went to check it out?" His voice was eerily calm as he muttered lowly, eyes partly hidden by his brown curls.
Beth nodded, chewing on her lip and looking away from him, "He's got a gu-"
"You need to let me out." Jungkook hissed, fists tightening around the bars and forehead pressing against them, "You need to let me out so I could help."
"Daddy wants your leg to heal, I...I can't let you out." Beth stuttered, eyes finally flickering up to meet Jungkook's brown ones before she turned around to leave.
"Wait, wait, Beth!" Jungkook yelled, rattling the bars to make her stop and turn around. When she stopped walking, Jungkook exhaled to calm himself before speaking in a softer tone than before, "Beth, Carl is with some unfamiliar people right now. You don't know how many they are or how dangerous they are. Carl is just a boy, they'll overpower him easily." Jungkook explained as softly as he could, yet there was a dangerous edge to his voice that sent a shiver down Beth's spine, "You have to let me out so that I could protect you. I just want to protect you so they wouldn't hurt you."
"But...you're injured." Beth frowned, pointing towards his injured leg, that was still hovering above the ground.
"I know, I know." Jungkook sighed, shutting his eyes and allowing his head to fall against the bars. He knew that he couldn't blindly run into a fight, but he just wanted to make sure that Carl was alright and he wouldn't die because of these unfamiliar people, "Okay." He breathed out, eyes opening to look at a concerned Beth, "Okay, I'll...I won't go down to the tunnels but at least allow me to go down to the main room and make sure these people don't attack you. Even if I won't fight, I can...still try to intimidate them."
Beth pursued her lips, eyes hazing over as she thought about his words. She barely nodded before turning around and dashing away, down the stairs and out of Jungkook's eyes.
"Beth!" He called out, nose scrunching up and eyes widening in disbelief. Releasing a small groan, Jungkook shut his eyes and leaned against the bars.
After a few moments, Jungkook felt like he would drift off, even if he was standing up on one leg. He perked up at the sound of Beth running up the metal stairs and towards his cell. His eyes snapped open and he almost looked giddy as he watched Beth pull out a chain of keys. She inserted a key into the lock and twisted until the door unlocked. With a ghost of a smile, Jungkook slid the door open- one hand holding onto the doorway in order to not fall down and injure himself.
"Daddy said that you'll have to use this." Beth smiled at him, extending a single crutch towards him.
Jungkook blinked down at the crutch, his nose scrunching up in distaste before he looked up at Beth and saw her kind smile. He released a sigh and rolled his eyes before taking the crutch from her and positioning it under his armpit.
"This good?" He rose a brow- his lips pursued and his nose a bit scrunched.
After Beth nodded, Jungkook used his new crutch to limp out of his cell. He followed after Beth down the stairs to the first floor of the prison, he had problems with balancing out his weight from his leg to the crutch, making him a bit slower than Beth was.
Once Jungkook reached the bottom of the steps, he exhaled and allowed his shoulders to slouch in relief. He saw Hershel looking at him through his cell with his arms crossed over his chest and a fond smile on his face. Jungkook nodded at him before limping past the cells and over to the main room.
Jungkook's eyes ran over the room, not even noticing as a smile appeared on his face after seeing the familiar room. There were some small changes since the last time he was in here, but everything still looked the same.
Jungkook limped over to the metal table and popped himself up on the table. He placed his crutch between his legs, folding his arms on top of it as he watched the door that lead to the tunnels.
His gaze didn't waver as he listened to the distant sound of someone yelling and footsteps becoming louder by the passing second. Jungkook's eyes squinted and his lip curled into a sneer, he could feel the urge to grab a gun and shoot everyone that came through that door, grow inside of him. Kook's brown hair fell around his head in small waves, casting shadows on his already darkened features, and his hands curled into fists.
The footsteps became louder and the voices more clearer until the metal door was pushed open and a group of people ran inside. Jungkook kept quiet as he observed the group from his place on the metal table.
The unfamiliar group consisted of five people- four alive and one dead. The unconscious woman looked like she was bit and had already died, now all she had to do was turn.
There was a white male hovering over the dead woman, Allen, looking heartbroken at the sight of her. His hairline looked like it was slowly reducing and he had a small scruff on his face. He wore a grey shirt with a blue vest and light brown jeans.
Next to Allen was standing a man named Tyreese. He was a large black man, who wore a beanie, a black tank top and jeans. Despite his size, Tyreese's features were soft and his eyes were kind, even when he suggested to be the one to kill the women before she turned.
Looming behind the two men, stood a dark skinned woman named Sasha. Her features were sharp and her eyes were fierce, despite her shedding a tear as she comforted the younger boy next to her.
The young boy was named Ben, he was the son of the dead woman and Allen. Ben had black hair, and he wore a striped shirt, a backpack and grey jeans. He clung to Sasha, pushing his face into her shoulder as he cried softly.
Jungkook's fingers drummed against the crutch between his legs as he watched the group. None of them had noticed him, giving him the perfect opportunity to take them in and see if they were hostile. He tilted his head to the side- face void of emotion and eyes lacking any sympathy as he watched them grieve over their fallen member.
"Carl." Jungkook finally called out after witnessing the scene between the group and Carl. The younger boy had offered to kill the woman, but Tyreese had said that they kill their own. Jungkook decided that he saw enough and Rick should decide what to do with them, but Jungkook would gladly kill them if it came to it.
Carl's eyes widened and his head snapped over to Jungkook, who was lounging on top of the table. Jungkook nodded him over as he slid off the table and used his crutch to stand up. Carl glanced at the group before chewing on his lip and running over to Jungkook.
Jungkook didn't say anything as he placed a hand on Carl's back and gently nudged him towards the direction of the cells. He followed after Carl, ignoring the unfamiliar group as they prepared to kill one of their own.
Carl ran into the cell room, looking up at Jungkook with furrowed brows and parted lips. Jungkook ignored him and slammed the door shut behind himself before taking the chain of keys from Beth, who had approached them. He inserted the key into the lock and locked the unfamiliar group into the main room in case they tried to attack.
"Hey, what are you doing?" Sasha called out after noticing Jungkook lock the door. She ran over to the door, eyeing Jungkook, Carl and Beth with confusion and a hint of panic.
Tyreese followed after Sasha and walked away from the dead body to look at Jungkook, "Did you just lock us in here?"
Jungkook didn't say anything and only stared at them with no emotion. His lips remained sealed shut as he watched them slowly freak out and approach the door that separated them. Jungkook felt nothing towards these unfamiliar people, nothing but the desire to grab a gun and shoot them all before they could lay a finger on his group. But Jungkook suppressed that urge, leaving that decision up to Rick.
"Open the door!" Sasha commanded, shoving her bloody shovel into their direction.
Carl looked at Jungkook but he only stared at a panicky Sasha with a blank expression. Carl shifted on his feet before speaking up, "The room is secure, you'll be safe. You have food and water."
Sasha's breathing began to deepen as she approached the door. Her grip on the shovel tightened and she grabbed onto the bars, looking right into Jungkook's lifeless eyes, "Open this door."
Jungkook rose a brow, corner of his lips tugging up into a dark smile before he spoke up, "You should be grateful." His voice was light and silky, yet it danced along the lines of voidness and something sinister.
"Grateful?" Sasha scoffed in disbelief, her face scrunching up into a look of distaste as she stared back Jungkook, "For what?" She spat, lip curling into a snarl.
Jungkook huffed out a breathy laugh, taking a step closer to the door without looking away from Sasha. He leaned in- hair falling into his face, causing more shadows to fall over his face. The smirk on Jungkook's lips calmed into a ghost of a smile before he breathed out so that only she could hear, "You should be grateful that you're still alive. Because if it was up to me..." Jungkook took another step closer to the door, lips straightening out into a thin line as he watched her eyes widen in alarm, "...I'd kill you the second you stepped a foot inside this prison."
Jungkook sent her another smirk before turning his back on her and limping over to the stairs. He stopped next to Hershel, who was standing in the doorway of his cell- brows raised as he watched the interaction, and offered him the keys to the doors.
Jungkook leaned towards Hershel, his voice lowering so that no one, except him, would hear, "Kill them, if you have to." Hershel's eyes grew wide before snapping up to look at an impassive Jungkook. He dropped the keys into Hershel's open palm before shrugging and turning away, "Or call me and I'll do it for you."

Taehyung stumbled through the dark, eyes squinting in order to see through the darkness, and body hunching to lessen the chances of being seen. The group was sneaking around the walls of Woodbury until they reached the car that they were hiding behind in the beginning.
Glenn winced as he plopped down on the ground, only for Maggie to crouch down next to him and caress his hair in concern. Taehyung looked away from them to watch Rick peer around the car to look at the walls of Woodbury.
"Come on, Daryl." Taehyung heard Rick murmur under his breath as he watched the eerily silent town. He shook his head and ran a hand through his sweaty hair, slowly realising that Daryl wasn't coming. Taehyung still didn't know how to feel about Daryl, maybe the two didn't get along, but that doesn't mean Daryl's not useful to the group or that he should die.
The sound of rustling filled their ears, causing the group to straighten out and look towards the direction of the noise. Taehyung's brows furrowed and he grew even more tense as he watched something move between the shadows before a body slipped out from beneath another car.
"Michonne!" Taehyung perked up, cautiously standing up and marching over to her. His expression grew dark as he took in the injuries on her face and body, "What the fuck happened?" He hissed, wrapping a gentle hand around her to help her stand, "Did you...get him?" He lowered his voice so that only she could hear.
"Where the hell were you?" Rick growled, raising his gun and eyeing Michonne in distrust. Michonne kept quiet and just stared back at him, "Put your hands up." Rick ordered, nodding as Michonne slowly put her hands up.
"Is this really necessary?" Taehyung hissed, one hand still wrapped around Michonne to help her stand. He looked at Rick with slight frustration, yet he didn't want to disrespect Rick by blowing up.
Rick ignored him and focused on Michonne, "Turn around." He gestured for her to turn around with his gun. Taehyung released a small scoff and stepped away from Michonne so that she'd be able to turn around.
Taehyung crossed his arms over his chest, making his muscles push against the shirt. He watched Rick with squinted eyes, hoping that he wouldn't hurt Michonne, because he'd be devastated if something happened to her, and he physically wouldn't be able to hurt Rick either.
Rick grabbed the end of Michonne's katana before slowly sliding it out of its holder. Once the katana was away from her, Rick lowered his gun and leaned in, "Get what you came for?" He scoffed.
"Where are the rest of your people?" Michonne shot back, not giving an answer to Rick's question. With her hands still held up, she eyed the group, noticing that two members were missing.
Taehyung exhaled softly and shifted his weight from one foot to another. His eyes flickered over to Glenn, when he grunted out, "They got Oscar."
"Daryl's missing. You didn't see him?" Maggie breathed out, her voice trembling and hands shaking as she held the gun, yet her eyes didn't waver from Michonne.
Rick nodded and stepped closer to Michonne, bending down and lowering his voice to appear more threatening, "If anything happens to him..."
"We brought you here to save them." Taehyung stepped in, placing a hand between Rick and Michonne to push the leader gently away before stepping in front of Michonne. He looked back at Glenn and Maggie before his eyes found their way back to Rick, "Michonne risked her life to come here and save your people. We could've turned and walked away, but we decided to go to you and tell you that your people were captured." Taehyung scoffed out a laugh of disbelief, shaking his head and running his hand through his tangled hair, "This could've been a trap, but we were telling the truth and now Glenn and Maggie are here- with you."
Rick stared at Taehyung without blinking before inhaling and nodding slowly. He swallowed thickly and took a step back, eyes flickering between Taehyung and Michonne, "Thanks for the help." Rick nodded at them.
"You'll need help to get them back to the prison. Or to go back there for Daryl." Michonne spoke up, stepping around Taehyung to face Rick, yet taking a hold of his arm for better balance, "Either way, you need me."
Taehyung nodded at Michonne's words, shoulders straightening when Rick looked away from Michonne and over to him. The two made eye contact, not looking away from each other or even blinking. After a few seconds, Rick looked back at Michonne and without saying anything, he nodded.

So I realised that I'm so close to finishing book one- It's gonna end with season three and rn I'm at 3x9 out of 3x16. And I decided that I want to make the chapters shorter and update everyday. It's hard to write long chapters and then still update everyday, so maybe some episodes won't be as interesting and nothing would happen in them.
Anywhore, what do you think about new Jungkook?
