Jungkook felt like he was shoved under water- the soft humming in his ears echoed in his empty mind and floated around his head. His body felt heavy, yet so comfortable, as if he was laying on a fluffy cloud, wrapped up in a fuzzy blanket.

Jungkook could feel something wet touch his forehead before sliding down the tip of his nose. His nose twitched and his brows knitted together, causing the wet thing on his face to stop moving.

"Jungkook?"

Jungkook's eyes fluttered open and his lips parted to inhale a deep breath of air. The sight of a bunk bed right above him, caused his face to scrunch up in confusion before he heard a small gasp next to him.

"Jungkook!"

The said boy sluggishly turned his head to the side to look at Beth, who was crouching next to his bed, holding a wet rag in her hand. There was a bowl of water next to her- the water coloured a dark brown with a hint of red.

"How do you feel?" Beth asked softly, her innocent blue eyes gleaming in happiness as her pink lips tilted into a small smile.

Jungkook furrowed his brows in confusion, not understanding what's happening. His breathing began to quicken as he stared back at Beth before looking down at the bloody rag in her hand. He shifted in his bed, noticing that he was in his cell, only to cry out softly as ripples of pain ran throughout his leg and stomach.

"Careful!" Beth quickly scolded, placing her small hands on his arm to stop him from moving.

As her hand touched his, Jungkook realised that there wasn't a layer of protection between their bodies. He snapped his head down, only to see that he was laying on his bed without a shirt. His stomach was painted with shades of green and blue, the two shades mixing together and twirling across his muscles.

Jungkook's breathing began to quicken as small flashes and snippets of memories burned into his mind. His throat clogged up and his eyes burned due to the unshed tears, "I can't...can't breathe." He gasped out, pushing his hands against the bed to sit up, only for another wave of pain to rush through him.

"Stop!" Beth cried out in distress, trying to be as gentle as possible as she pressed her hands against his shoulders to push him back down on the bed.

Jungkook shook his head, his hands flying up to grab her wrists and push her away. His breathing quickened and his muscles clenched due to the pain. His vision flashed from the prison cell to the forest, and for a second, Jungkook could feel a soft breeze ruffle his hair and the light of the fire dance across his skin. Kolten's grinning face and rotten teeth flashed before his eyes, only to be pushed away by Marley's lifeless gaze staring back at him.

"Jungkook?

"Jungkook?"

"You're scaring me."

"Ị̶͚͎͑̀̈́̉͝'̶̪̝̬̟͈̲̱̃̅̏̓̾̄͛̊̋̕ͅm̴̫̞̫̗̬̽̃͌͂̍͆̈́̆͒.̸̊ͅ.̴͈̠̜̻̟̙̃̐͛̓̾́̔̔̀̊ͅ.̸̛̪̩̉̀̋́̌̇̈́̕̚Î̵͍͍̦̝͗̄̂̉̐̒̓̊͘ͅ'̸͇̙͙̱̒̏m̸̡͚̣̟̍ ̸̛̮̪͒͆̀͐̅͠ś̵̬̬̳͈̞̮͉͈̓̂̏̓͂̎͛͋̒͋̀̚ͅc̴̨̛̯̤͖̠͇̙͕̱͓̫̲͇͕̀̀̕͝͝͠ä̵̡̡̹͕̗̙̪̠̜̹͇͚̳͕́̎͗͛͘r̷͚͇̠̓̀̍͒̓̂̑̍͒̚̕͠e̸̡̨̫͕͚̘̟͇̓͘͜͝d̸̛͕̺͉̤͉͎͈̩̼̱̭̪̓."

Jungkook snapped out of it, Marley's voice echoing in his mind as he stared at Beth blankly. The girl had tears in her eyes as she stared down at Jungkook, worry written all over her face. Jungkook exhaled softly, his face still void of emotion as he pressed his hands against the bed to sit up. Ripples of pain ran through his body, but Jungkook allowed the pain to engulf him and wrap around him like a safety blanket.

He blinked slowly, staring at the grey walls around him, "Was it...was it real?" He murmured lowly, his unfocused gaze burning into the wall in front of him.

"What...what was?" Beth whispered softly, glancing at the wall to see if something was there. But there wasn't anything there, except for a few cracks.

Jungkook's lips twitched up, yet his eyes were still void of emotion as he breathed out, "Everything." His brows furrowed before he slowly turned his head to look up at Beth, "Tell me....tell me I never left." Jungkook croaked quietly, his tone dancing between the line of being emotionless and being pleading.

Beth chewed on her lip before slowly backing up towards the door of the cell, "I'll go get Rick."

"Get Hershel." Jungkook ordered, his eyes snapping up to her. His gaze was dark and heavy as it landed on her, the brown in his eyes overpowered the emotion in them, yet Beth could see something sinister lurking within, "I need Hershel." He repeated quieter.

Beth sucked in her lips nervously before nodding and slipping out of the cell. Jungkook listened to her footsteps leaving, his gaze lifeless as he pulled back the blanket on top of him and swung his legs over the edge of the bed. A sharp sting ran from his thigh all the way up to his hip.

Jungkook slowly looked down at his leg, noticing the white gauze wrapped around his muscular thigh. His fingers twitched before he allowed his hand to slide towards the small spots of red soaking into the gauze. Jungkook tilted his head to the side, inhaling sharply before he pressed his thumb against the wound.

Ripples of pain shot throughout his leg, causing it to jerk up. Small tears gathered in the corners of his eyes but Jungkook ignored them and pressed his thumb deeper into the wound, hissing in satisfaction once he did.

The pain was comforting, it wrapped around him and made Jungkook feel like he was back in the clearing. And when he closed his eyes, Jungkook hoped that he would travel back in time to change the outcome of the situation. But Jungkook knew that he couldn't loose himself in the pain or memories, not yet, not when Marley was still injured in the woods and she needed his help.

Jungkook's fingers lifted from his wound and for a second, he watched more spots of blood appear on the white gauze. He looked away before sucking in a deep breath and standing up. Once Jungkook set his injured leg on the ground, it gave out on him, making him crumble to the ground with a thud.

Jungkook whimpered under his breath, wincing as he dragged his leg closer to his body. He inhaled sharply before shaking his head at himself, "Don't...don't be so pathetic." Jungkook hissed at himself, pushing off of the ground to stand up. His leg wobbled, under the pressure, and sent ripples of pain throughout his body, nearly causing him to crumble back to the ground and curl up into a small ball.

Jungkook stumbled towards the clothes placed in the corner of the room. He caught himself on the wall, using it to hold up his weak body, before sliding down to sit next to the pile of clothes. Jungkook shakily grabbed a black shirt before releasing his breath and sliding it onto his quivering body. His hands dropped down into his lap after the shirt was on- his muscles aching and screaming in pain, but he ignored it and grabbed the pants.

A shaky exhale left Jungkook's lips and his eyes teared up in pain as he bent towards his legs and began to pull the pants up his legs. He sunk his teeth into his lower lip to stop the whimpers from leaving his lips as he slid the pants over his gunshot wound.

"Get Hershel, get Hershel...." Jungkook kept murmuring under his breath as he grabbed the wall next to him and pulled himself onto his feet.

Jungkook stumbled towards the door, clinging onto the bars of the cell as his shaky hands reached down to button up his jeans. He shut his eyes, the pain in his stomach, hand and thigh nearly being too much for him to handle.

"Come on...come on, Marley needs you." Jungkook breathed out, raising his hand to smack himself on the cheek a few times. His face hardened as he snapped his eyes open and limped out of his cell.

Jungkook's face was stone cold as he approached the metal stairs that lead down to the first floor of the prison. He gripped onto the railing next to him, trying to place most of his weight on it instead of his leg. The distant sound of murmurs filled his ears as he carefully climbed down the metal stairs, his nose scrunching up at the pain rushing and pulsating throughout his body.

Jungkook reached the bottom of the stairs, listening to the sound of quiet whispering. He took a step forward, only for his naked foot to come in contact with dirt. Jungkook's brows furrowed before he snapped his head down to the ground.

Small trails of dirt rested right under his feet. Jungkook's eyes followed the trail of dirt, noticing that the dirt grew in amount and even some dry leaves were sprinkled across the floor.  With furrowed brows, Jungkook followed the trail of dirt until he lifted his head and saw that the doorway to the main room of the prison, was covered up with thick branches of leaves.

Jungkook slowly limped towards them and raised his hands to part the branches. He pushed them away and limped through the-

"Jungkook?"

Jungkook blinked, only to realise that he was standing in the doorway to the main room with an aching leg. Daryl, Hershel, Beth, and two other people he'd never seen before, stood in the middle of the room, huddled together and staring back at him.

Jungkook blinked a few more times before turning his head back around to look at the trail of dirt, only to see nothing there. The trail of dirt was nowhere to be seen, along with the wall of bushes. Jungkook's heart pounded in his chest and his brows knitted together in confusion as he eyed the clean floor.

"Jungkook, you shouldn't be up, you have to let your leg heal." Hershel scolded softly, grabbing his crutches to guide Jungkook back to his cell.

Jungkook's head snapped towards him, his face going completely void and his back straightening out. Jungkook ignored what Hershel told him and began to limp towards him, ignoring everyone else in the room.

"Jungkoo-"

"You need to come with me." Jungkook ordered, stopping in front of Hershel and grabbing his arm. Everyone in the room immediately straightened out and stood up to stop Jungkook.

"You need to sit down." Hershel told him softly, tilting his head to the side as he stared down into Jungkook's lifeless eyes.

"No." Jungkook gritted, snapping his head around as he felt someone creep up behind him. A dark skinned woman stared back at him, her face hard and wary as her hand stopped reaching towards the katana strapped to her back, "Step back." Jungkook hissed, stepping away from Michonne and pulling Hershel with him.

Daryl carefully approached him, his face blank and his voice firm, "Jungkook." The said boy looked at him, his gaze softening when he saw that it was Daryl. Jungkook opened his mouth to...to say something? To shout? To scream? To...to cry? Jungkook didn't know, but he knew that he wanted to run towards Daryl and break down as he babbled on about everything that happened.

A soft breeze ran across Jungkook's exposed skin before he squeezed his eyes shut and inhaled sharply, feeling the smell of smoke and something rotten invade his nostrils. Jungkook shook his head and opened his eyes, only when he did, Kolten stood in Daryl's place, grinning at him tauntingly. Jungkook's eyes widened and he stumbled back in alarm, feeling the person next to him stumble along with him.

Jungkook snapped his head to his left, looking at the person he was holding onto. His breathing quickened as his brown eyes connected with lifeless grey ones. Marley stood next to him, her small, cold hand gripping onto his warm one. Jungkook choked, Marley's face was an unhealthy pale colour and her cheeks were smeared with blood. Her expression was void as she stared up at Jungkook, blood dripping off of her hoodie and onto the ground.

"J̸̢̨̛͔̰̩̮͓̗̥̰̮̟̀͒͊̅̏̏̄͛͘ͅͅụ̸̙͇̪̠̩̤͉͖̻̀̈͠͠n̷̛̹̘͗́́̑̎́̕͝g̷͎̯͙̠͎̫͎͓̭͕̙̤̗̀̔͐̈̇̀́͗̍͂̽̃̕̕̕͜k̴̨͓̖͔̪̻̟̜̰̰̳̩͖͋̈́̈͑͛͌ǫ̶̧͎̖̫̜̺̩̞̹̗̦̃͋͋̋̚o̵̡̡̨̨̹̙͙̣̘̻͈̠̲͋̂͗̾̐̀́͌͐͌̑̐̓̿́͝k̵̢̨̛͖̦͇͆̀̏̐́͛̓̽͝."

Jungkook snapped his eyes up towards the person that called his name. His breath hitched in his throat as he stared back at Daryl, who was staring at him with confusion and hidden worry. Daryl furrowed his brows, shifting his crossbow higher onto his shoulder.

"You need to go to your cell." Daryl ordered, his voice not giving him any room to argue.

Jungkook ignored him and eyed the room, not seeing Kolten anywhere. He sucked in a deep breath before slowly turning his head to the left to take a one last look at Marley. But instead of seeing her, Jungkook was met with Hershel's soft gaze. The older man looked down at him with sympathy before allowing his lips to curl into a gentle smile.

Jungkook's hand jerked away from Hershel and he stared at him as if he was a ghost. Everyone watched him with confusion as Jungkook stumbled away from Hershel, blinking and staring down at the ground with his face twisted into a look of panic.

"Jungkook, you need to calm down and go to your cell." Hershel spoke up, his voice soft yet with a hint of firmness to it, "You're still injured and your body needs as much rest as possible."

"What's happening?" Jungkook whispered under his breath, raising a hand and running it over his face. He felt something wet smear across his face, causing him to jerk his hand away from his face and look down.

Jungkook's hands were covered with blood, that dripping down onto the concrete floor of the prison. Jungkook blinked a few times, his face scrunching up as he watched the concrete floor flicker a few times before it turned into dirt ground.

"No...no....I never left....I'm not here." Jungkook breathed out, his heart pounding in his chest and his breathing quickening. Kolten and Marley blurred together with Daryl and Hershel, and his surrounding continued to shift from the forest to the prison. Jungkook's mind was a jumbled mess as he tried to figure out if he was still in the forest, bleeding out and dreaming about going back to prison, or if he's in the prison and never left.

Jungkook felt his chest squeeze and his vision blur before he shut his eyes and pressed his face into his hands.

"Jungkook? What's wrong?"

Jungkook's eyes snapped open and he peaked through his fingers to look into Hershel's concerned gaze. His eyes flickered over to Daryl, who was squinting his eyes and watching him carefully, while the unfamiliar woman cautiously pulled out her katana.

"This isn't real." Jungkook breathed out, his shoulders slouching in relief before he allowed his hands to drop down to his sides, "Nothing's real, none of you are real. Oh god...I'm dying, I'm dying." Jungkook's lips stretched out into a small smile as a laugh bubbled up in his throat, causing everyone to look at him with startled looks.

"Jungkook." Daryl grunted out, pressing his lips together before taking a few careful steps towards him, "You're acting crazy, so you need to take your bratty ass back to your cell."

"I'm acting crazy?" Jungkook pointed at himself, huffing out a small chuckle before scoffing and glaring at Daryl, "I'm not the one who thinks this is funny. You...you're all doing this! I don't know if you think this is funny, but it's...it's not and you need to stop!"

"Stop what? We're not doing anything, kid." Michonne spoke up, shifting her grip on her katana as she eyed Jungkook with squinted eyes.

Jungkook's eyes flickered over to her, his gaze growing murderous and his face hardening, "Shut up, intruder!" He growled at Michonne, digging his nails into his palms to stop himself from lunging at her. He didn't know or trust Michonne, and he knew that she would take every chance she had to kill him and the people he cared about.

"I don't know if this is a sick joke or...or if you think if this is funny...but it's not." Jungkook looked back at Hershel and Daryl, his breathing quickening and his hands shaking as he took a few steps away from them. Each time he blinked, he watched as Daryl's face flickered to Kolten's and his surroundings morphed into the woods.

"I don't know what's happening." Jungkook breathed out, tears gathering in his eyes as he stared at Kolten standing next to a concerned Hershel, "I don't....I can't...can't think. Everything....oh god, I see them." Jungkook whimpered, squeezing his eyes shut before pressing his shaking hands against his eyes, "I can't...I....I don't know what's happening. None of you....you're not real."

"Jungkook, it's okay. We're going to help you but you need to calm down, okay?" Jungkook allowed his eyes to flicker open before he looked at Hershel who extended his arms towards and smiled at him softly. Jungkook inhaled sharply, chewing on his lip before barely nodding.

Hershel smiled at him wider before Jungkook blinked and in Hershel's place stood Marley. Her raven hair was a tangled mess and a grin was splitting her face apart. Her eyes were lifeless, despite the grin, and her pink sweater was slowly turned red, "O̴̝̖̪̼͖̓̌̒k̶̜̆̄a̷͍̥͝͝y̵̳͉̣̭̗͑?" She mocked Hershel's words, giggling uncontrollably.

Jungkook's breathing quickened before his head snapped towards the table next to him. A few guns were laying on the metal table, along with the walker riot armour and other weapons. Jungkook dashed towards the guns, his hand outstretched and ready to grab one.

A large hand wrapped around his waist, ripping him away from the table and pulling him against a firm chest. Jungkook released a startled yelp, not previously noticing Taehyung, who had been standing behind him the whole time.

"Let me go! Let me go!" Jungkook screamed, pushing against Taehyung's arms. When Taehyung only tightened his grip on him, Jungkook snarled and dug his nails into his muscular arms, scratching him.

"Shit, that actually hurts." Taehyung hissed, his face scrunching up as Jungkook pushed against his arms and continued to scratch at them, "You're not gonna accomplish anything by doing that." Taehyung spoke calmly before looking up at the rest of the group and nodding at them to go get Rick.

"Fuck you, I'm gonna fucking kill you, you stupid peace of shit." Jungkook snarled, his cheeks tinting red due to the anger he felt.

Taehyung's face scrunched up at his words before he huffed out a husky laugh right into Jungkook's ear, "I'm gonna shove soap down your throat and wash out your mouth."

"You can try, you...pabo, I'm gonna bite your stinky fingers off." Jungkook growled, struggling against Taehyung's grip by wiggling and shifting around.

Taehyung hummed calmly, watching as Daryl marched off to get Rick, while Hershel went to grab a medical kit for Jungkook's gun wound. He rolled his eyes as Jungkook kept throwing curses and threats at him while trying to get out of his arms.

"Are you done? I'm getting quite bored now." Taehyung exaggerated a small yawn, trying to act calm as he felt Jungkook raise his feet and try to kick him off.

"Fuck you, fuck you, I'm gonna kill you! You stupid...stupid, you are stupid." Jungkook hissed, his muscles aching at the constant struggle and movement. He gritted his teeth and glared down at the ground before he went slack in Taehyung's arms, thinking that maybe if he laid limply, Tae's arms would get tired eventually.

"Gave up? I thought you wanted to kill me." Taehyung chuckled, eyeing the glare on Jungkook's, now, clean face.

Kook's nose scrunched up in anger before his lips curled up into a snarl and he raised his leg, trying to slam it against Taehyung's. Tae was startled when Jungkook suddenly yelped and cried out in pain before stilling in his arms.

Taehyung's smug smile slipped from his face as concern replaced it, "What? What's wro-"

"My leg." Jungkook cried out, his head tilted towards the ground, allowing his brown hair to fall into his face, "Ouch, my leg."

Taehyung sighed and rolled his eyes before loosening his grip around Jungkook, "Let me se-"

Jungkook reeled his head back and tried to smash it into Taehyung's face, but Tae already predicted the move and shoved his hand against the back of Jungkook's head. Tae rolled his eyes and shoved Jungkook's head forward, causing him to stumble to the ground with a yelp.

"Really? You wanted to to believe that? It's the oldest trick in the book." Taehyung scoffed, walking up to Jungkook, who growled and pushed off of the ground to stand up. Tae scoffed before grabbing Jungkook and flinging him over his shoulder, "At least push out a tear or two, do some sobbing and whimpering."

Jungkook cried out when Tae's muscular shoulder dug into his bruised stomach, "Ouch! This actually hurts, you dense fuck!" Jungkook snarled before wiggling around and slamming his hands against Tae's broad back to make him drop him.

Taehyung hummed, completely uninterested and unimpressed as he walked towards the C section. He paused next to Hershel, acting like Jungkook's fists against his back didn't hurt at all. They did.

"Do you have handcuffs? Or keys to lock the cells?" Taehyung asked loudly, making sure that Jungkook heard him.

Jungkook stilled, eyes growing wide as he snapped his head up, "What the fuck.." he murmured under his breath before feeling Taehyung turn around and begin to walk to his cell, "Put me in handcuffs or lock the cell, I dare you. The second I come out of there, I'll make sure to put a bullet through your skull."

"You're gonna kill me with a gun?" Taehyung scoffed as he tightened his grip on Jungkook's legs and began to climb the metal stairs, "That's really boring, I'm actually kinda disappointed."

"Fuck you." Jungkook huffed and slowly stopped struggling, not wanting Taehyung to drop him as he climbed up the stairs. Jungkook pursued his lips as he thought, "Okay, then I'm gonna...I'm gonna grab a knife and cut your stomach open."

"Are you gonna do something with my organs?"

"No? Why?"

"Then it's boring, you should do something with my organs."

"You mean eat them?"

"No, you fucking cannibal." Taehyung scoffed in disgust, grabbing the bars to Jungkook's cell to pull them open, "Pull out my intestines and wrap them around my waist. Make sure to tie a small bow and then you can even send it to a person you're trying to threaten. You know...like a small gift."

Jungkook's brows furrowed in deep thought as he slowly nodded at Taehyung's words, not even noticing as he was placed on his bunk bed. Taehyung smirked, taking Jungkook's distracted state to his advantage.

Jungkook's head flew up as he saw Tae dash out of the cell. His eyes widened before he gasped and jumped up to his feet, crying out as his wound burned and brushed against his jeans. Jungkook's face scrunched up in a mixture of pain and anger as he limped towards the, now, shut cell door.

"You can't lock the door, it's my door, it's my key and it's my cell!" Jungkook rambled, grabbing onto the metal bars and glaring into Taehyung's as he tried to slide the door open, only for it to not move.

"Oh." Taehyung gasped, his eyes growing wide with false surprise before he smirked and held up a chain of keys, "You mean one of these keys? Oh shoot, Hershel told me not to mix your key with the rest of the keys, because he didn't know which one unlocked your cell."

Jungkook's mouth fell open as he stared at the key chain of identical keys, "You...you...oh my god." He breathed out, pressing a shaky hand to his forehead, "I'm gonna puke on you."

Taehyung's nose scrunched up for a second before he shrugged and twirled the keychain around his finger, "Looks like you're not getting out for a few days, better do something productive and get some rest."

Jungkook's face dropped before he snarled and pounced towards Taehyung- shoving his hands through the bars to try and grab him. Taehyung chuckled, luckily stepping back just before Jungkook could reach him.

"I'm gonna kill you." Jungkook growled, pulling his hands back and curling his fingers around the bars instead. He watched as Taehyung released a husky laugh before turning around and walking away, "Sure, sure, use these days to think of an original, creative way to kill me."

And only when Taehyung was walking way, did Jungkook realise that his touch had kept him from floating away.

So...here we have a bit of an insight on what's about to happen to Jungkook's mind. AND OF COURSE SOME MORE TAEKOOK!

I realised that I didn't want them to fall in love at first sight and be all lovey dovey straight away *cough* like most books *cough*. I want their love to be slow and genuine, so I'm gonna take my time to build up Taehyung's character and their relationship.

Anywhore, what do you think about Taekook's interaction or Jungkook's hallucinations?
