Fake Jungkook

(The song at the top is what I listened to when writing this chapter. I feel like it perfectly describes Jungkook and the atmosphere of this chapter)

The forest was filled with the sound of ringing bells- the soft sound drifted through the air, mixing together with the gentle breeze that ruffled through the tree branches. The moonlight peered around the top of the trees, shinning down on the two people trudging through the forest and illuminating the path in front of them.

The air around them was filled with tension and suspense as they placed each step with cautiousness and precision. Their eyes kept flickering around them, trying to spot if anyone was lurking within the darkness. Their heads swung around in all directions as the sound of the bell chimes increased and new sounds joined the old ones.

"Wha...what's that? The bells. Where are they coming from?" Sebastian stuttered, spinning around in a circle to eye the surrounding area and make sure that no one was looming over him.

Katelyn pressed her tongue against the roof of her mouth and swallowed down the lump in her throat, "I don't know." She whispered, placing her hand on her gun and pulling it out, "Stay on alert, something's not right here."

Sebastian quickly nodded, stumbling after Katelyn as he, too, pulled out his gun. He gripped the gun tightly until his chubby fingers turned white and his palms began to sweat. Katelyn continued to lead the way, eyeing the woods around them with anxious eyes. The eerie atmosphere and the soft sound of bells, made chills go down her back and her heart pound against her ribcage. Katelyn couldn't deny that the forest was spooky and that she was scared as she walked through it.

The pair continued to approach one of the ringing bells- the noise becoming louder as they got closer to it. They brushed past a few more trees, following the sound of the bell, until they stopped next to a tree. The bell chimes were coming from the tree, and as they looked up, they caught the sight of a golden bell swinging from side to side. Katelyn's shoulders began to relax and her face lit up with a smile as she reached out and grabbed the bell.

"Okay, false alarm." Katelyn shrugged, tugging at the bell to try and take it off, but the bell didn't move. Katelyn's smile crumbled into a look of annoyance as she scoffed, tightening her grip on the bell and tugging harder, "Come on, you littl-"

"Watch out!" Sebastian shouted, quickly grabbed Katelyn and ripping her away from the place where she once stood. Katelyn slammed against the ground with a thud and a grunt, while Sebastian stumbled back. Their eyes snapped towards the place where Kate used to stand, just as a sledgehammer fell through the air and slammed into the ground.

"What the fuck." Katelyn breathed out- her eyes wide and lips parted in shock. She stared at the sledgehammer for a few more seconds, wincing as she imagined it slamming into her head, "Well, shit." Kate grumbled, pushing off of the ground and dusting her hands against her jeans. She turned her attention on Sebastian, who was still staring up at the trees with wide eyes, "Thanks, Seb." Katelyn's grinned, patting him on the back before bending down to grab her fallen gun.

"I...you...you think all bells are like this?" Sebastian mumbled, pressing his gun against his chest as he turned to look at Katelyn.

Kate sighed, pressing her fingers against her forehead to rub the crease between her brows, "Maybe it was just this one. What kind of psychopath would set up so much bells and try to kill people by throwing sledgehammers on their heads?" She snickered, brushing a strand of her hair behind her ear as she slammed her hand down on Sebastian's shoulder and massaged his tense muscles with her fingers, "Relax, nothing's gonna happen."

"Yeah, yeah, okay." Sebastian gulped, sparing another glance towards the sledgehammer and the fallen bell before shaking his head and turning away.

Katelyn pulled her hand away and took a hold of her flimsy shirt- pushing it into her jeans to make herself more comfortable. The two were even more tense than before as they continued to walk through the forest- this time, taking slower and smaller steps, and taking their time to eye the trees above them, in case something decided to fall on their heads.

On the other side of the forest, two more men were dragging their feet through the forest. One of them looked annoyed as he spat complain after complain, not wanting to follow the order of a female, while the other remained completely silent.

Sean's dark skin glistened with sweat, and his eyes were hazy and wide. He looked around the dark forest, not listening to Matthew's complaining as he got lost in his memories. Small fragments and snippets of memories rushed through his mind, making him flinch and curl into himself. Guilt and grief bubbled up in his stomach, making it churn and twist.

"I think...I think imma...." Sean groaned and stopped walking, hunching over and placing his hands on his knees. He shut his eyes, sucking in deep breaths through his nose as he felt bile rise up his throat.

"Gross, are you gonna puke?" Matthew's face scrunched up in disgust as he eyed a pale and sweaty Sean. The look of disgust increased as he shuddered and turned away, "Do it quickly or let's go. I don't want to waste my time."

Sean completely ignored him and inhaled deeply, swallowing down his bile. He pushed away the resurfacing images of blood, tears and a dead body, and stood up. Sean's eyes flickered open and he wiped away the sweat from his forehead with his sleeve before dragging his feet over to Matthew.

"I'm fine, let's go." Sean mumbled- his voice scratchy and horse. He wrapped his hand around his waist and allowed his face to scrunch up into a grimace as he walked after Matthew.

Matthew spared him a glance, only to scoff and roll his eyes, "I wish the governor would've sent me alone, I would've done this way faster. You're just slowing me down, and don't even let me start on that bitch Katelyn." Matthew continued, his lips moving with each word that fell past them, causing the dimples in his cheeks to appear. He threw his hands up in annoyance, stepping over a root as he looked up at the moon hanging in the sky, "Do you think she fucked the governor for the position? I bet she did, how else do you think she would've gotten the 'second in command' position." Matthew paused and held up his finger, turning around on his heel to look down at Sean, "Actually, the only reason she's the second in command is because that traitor Merle ran off with his brother."

"I don't...know these people you're speaking of." Sean grumbled, running his tongue over his dry lips and wiping away the sweat from his forehead. He blinked hazily, turning his head around to look into the darkness surrounding them.

Matthew merely rolled his eyes and eyed Sean again, "You don't look so good." He commented, stepping away from Sean when he released a few dry coughs and hunched over.

"I'm fine." Sean croaked, wiping away the spit from his lips. His legs trembled as he straightened out and shook his head, trying to push away the sudden dizziness washing over him, "Just a small fever." Sean forced his lips to tug into a smile to try and ease Matthew's worries.

The latter hummed, unconvinced, but he just shook his head and walked forward, deciding to keep an eye on Sean, "Anyway.." He began, making Sean roll his eyes and drag his feet after Matthew, who began to ramble yet again, "Katelyn is stupid for making us split up. We should've just jumped the guy" Matthew spun around, staring down at Sean as he walked backward, "Because the psycho coul-"

It all happened so suddenly- one second Matthew was sending a dimpled smile at Sean, and the next, his foot got caught onto something and he stumbled back. The words died out on Matthew's tongue as he fell backward, slamming into the leaf covered ground, only to fall through it and slam into a hole.

An ear piercing scream ripped through Matthew's throat as two spikes pierced through his thigh and stomach, causing the birds, hiding in the trees, to flap their wings and fly off. The screaming increased, mixing together with the sound of a bell, that swung above their heads wildly.

Sean's eyes were large and mouth was hanging open as he stared down at a screaming Matthew. The latter's eyes were screwed shut in pain and lips were parted as he screamed and cried. Matthew was lying inside a shallow hole, that was once covered and hidden by leaves. Sharp spikes surrounded his body, pushing into his sides and missing him by inches. Matthew had fallen on two spikes- one piercing his right thigh, while the other pierced the side of his stomach. Blood poured out of the wounds, soaking into his clothes and dripping onto the leaves.

"Get me out! Get me out!" Matthew shouted- the vein in his neck popping as his eyes flew open and he screamed at a motionless Sean.

Sean snapped out of his shocked state and ran over to Matthew. He dropped down to his knees next to the hole and Matthew's body, and allowed his hands to hover over him, "I...I don't know what to do!" Sean shouted, realising that he wouldn't be able to pull Matthew off of the spikes by himself.

"Just pull me off!" Matthew yelled in return, throwing his head back and groaning as he shifted his injured thigh. He froze as he felt another spike right below his back, digging into his flesh and working as a reminder- he was surrounded by the sharp weapons and they could dig into his skin any second, "Okay...okay, just..just pull, okay? And I'll stand up too!" Matthew winced, sucking in deep breaths to calm himself down.

"Yeah, yeah, okay." Sean gulped pushing off of the ground to stand up. He grabbed Matthew's hand and wrapped it around his neck, while placing his other hand around his waist. The blood soaked shirt pressed against Sean's hand, staining his hand red and making his grip more slippery. Sean grunted as he tightened his hold on Matthew and pulled him off, only for his hand to slip and for Matthew to fall back onto the spikes.

Another scream ripped through Matthew's throat as the spikes went through his thigh once again, "Fuck, fuck, fuck!" He cried out, breathing heavily as he clutched his thigh right above the place where the bloody spike was peeking out.

"This won't work." Sean whispered under his breath, stepping away from Matthew. The heel of his foot stepped on a branch, making it crack and capture Matthew's attention.

"Where are you going?" Matthew asked with wide eyes, his grip on his thigh loosening as he watched Sean stare back at him apologetically and slowly back away.

Sean gulped and shook his head, "It won't work, I'll...I'll go get their help." He quickly stuttered out before whirling around on his heel and running away.

"Sean!" Matthew called out after him, twisting and tilting his head to try and catch a glimpse of the man, only to be met with nothing but darkness and trees, "Sean, come back!" Matthew yelled, wincing and hissing as he shifted his torso, making the spear twist inside his stomach.

The sound of a branch cracking and barely audible footsteps coming his way, made Matthew perk up. His gaze lifted from his bleeding leg and he sat up straighter, only to grunt at the movement. Matthew's eyes wondered around the surrounding area as he listened to the sound of footsteps approaching him, but he saw nothing, but darkness, around him.

"Se..Sean?" He called out- his voice cracking and dying out as the fear inside him increased. Matthew finally located the direction of the footsteps, only for them to suddenly stop. His heart pounded in his chest and throat went dry as he stared into the woods- trying to hear any sounds. But the only sound he heard was his own shallow pants and the bell above his head.

"Sean?" Matthew whispered quietly, only to gasp and flinch when the person finally stepped out of the line of trees.

The moonlight fell onto his features, illuminating his brown eyes, the small scar on his cheekbone and his wide bunny smile. Jungkook was clad in a black wool sweater, that wrapped around his chest and displayed his muscles, and skin tight black jeans, that were ripped at his right knee. Jungkook's brown hair fell in front of his eyes in messy curls, causing his eyes to appear darker, than they were, and his smile to come across as more creepy.

Jungkook rose his knife, twirling it between his fingers as he stepped closer to Matthew, "Hello." Jungkook chirped, allowing his eyes to wander down to the two spikes piercing through Matthew's body, "Oh, that looks nasty." Jungkook snickered, standing directly in front of a wide eyed Matthew. Jungkook ran his tongue over his lips before throwing his knife up in the air and catching it by the handle, "You need help?" He asked, tilting his head to the side innocently.

"Who are you?" Matthew murmured, slowly raising his leg to try and pull it off of the spike. He clenched his jaw, panting harshly as he tried to hide the pain he was feeling from Jungkook's wandering eyes.

Jungkook only smiled at him, taking another step towards him before bending down next to the hole. Jungkook didn't break eye contact with Matthew as his smile crumbled and face grew darker, "You were calling out for a person named Sean.." Jungkook began- his voice barely audible, yet despite the low volume of the whisper, it still had a hint of threat and malice in it, "Where did he go? Sean. Where is he?" Jungkook leaned forward, staring into Matthew's wide eyes with his own wide desperate ones.

Matthew gulped, inhaling shakily as he leaned further away from Jungkook, only for the spike in his back to push into his skin, "Sean? You want to know where Sean went? Well, he went that...that way."

As soon as Matthew finished speaking, he bounced off of the ground and pushed Jungkook away. A scream fell past his lips as the spikes ripped out of his body, leaving behind open, bleeding holes.

Jungkook slammed against the ground, cringing when his head hit the dirt. He slowly sat up and brushed the dirt out of his hair before looking up at Matthew. The latter was digging his hands into the dirt and dragging his body away from Jungkook. Pain filled grunts left Matthew's lips as his wounds dragged against the ground, allowing dirt and small pebbles to get into them. Jungkook released a deep sigh and pressed his fingers against the bridge of his nose as he continued to watch the pathetic show that was Matthew.

"Are you done yet?" Jungkook rolled his eyes, standing up and dusting the dirt off of his clothes. He bent down and grabbed Taehyung's throwing knife before approaching Matthew.

"Fuck you! I won't tell you anything, you psychopath!" Matthew shouted in anger, turning around to sit on his ass. His gaze was fiery and face slowly turned red as he glared up at a smirking Jungkook, "You can threaten me, hurt me, and kill me, but you won't get anything out of me." Matthew hissed, allowing droplets of spit to fly out of his mouth. Jungkook's face scrunched up as he glanced down at the ground, where the spit fell, before rolling his eyes and raising a brow at Matthew. The latter breathed heavily, slowly dragging himself away from Jungkook as he continued to talk, "You can kill me, but I promise you, when you do, the rest of us will come after you and they wi-"

Jungkook cut Matthew off by pouncing on top of him. He pushed Matthew down against the ground and before he could even open his mouth, Jungkook drove his knife into his skull. Sharp pants fell from Jungkook's lips as he stared into Matthew's glassy, lifeless eyes. His body was limp and chest was unloving as Jungkook laid on top of him, gripping the handle of the knife tightly.

"I'm...I'm the good guy." Jungkook breathed out, shaking his head as guilt bubbled up in his stomach, "I'm the good guy." He repeated more confidently, smiling and nodding as he slid the knife out of Matthew's skull, causing a droplet of blood to roll down his forehead.

Jungkook pushed off of the ground, stumbling away from Matthew's dead body as he pressed the throwing knife against his sleeve and cleaned the blood off of the blade. Jungkook avoided looking at the dead body as he took deep breaths and pressed his hand against his head, trying to ease his headache.

The sound of another scream ripping through the air, followed by a bell going off, caused Jungkook's eyes to shoot open and his head to fly into the direction of the scream. Jungkook didn't waste time as he tightened his grip on the knife and dashed into the direction of the manly scream.

Pants and sharp gasps fell past Jungkook's lips as he jumped over roots and logs, dodged branches, and brushed past trees. His gaze zeroed in on the direction of the scream, and as he came closer to the source of it, Jungkook's footsteps began to falter until he was walking. His chest rose and fell as he panted, brushing away his sweaty locks and approaching the line of trees. He could see something swinging from side to side, only to be hidden by the thick tree trunks.

Jungkook held his breath, taking another shaky step into the direction of the deep grunts before shaking his head and stepping out of the darkness. The sight in front of him, made Jungkook freeze. His grip on the knife loosened, allowing it to fall to the ground and into the blanket of leaves. Jungkook's breathing grew shaky and eyes teared up, a look of horror, yet relief, washed over his face as he watched the person with wide eyes.

The familiar face of Sean stared back at him as the Male hung from the tree. A piece of rope was tied around his ankle as he swung from side to side, only to try and pull himself up to cut the rope. Sean's sickly pale skin glistened with sweat, and dark bags rested under his eyes. Grunts and cries of pain left his chapped lips, and his hands trembled as he gripped the knife tightly and tried to cut the rope, that connected him with the tree.

Jungkook stood frozen at the edge of the trees, allowing memories and flashbacks to wrap around his mind and take him back in time. Once again, Marley's lifeless eyes and blood soaked sweater haunted him, only to be replaced by Kolten's rotten smile and mocking laugh.

A loud thud echoed in Jungkook's mind, pushing away the resurfacing memories and pulling him back to reality. Jungkook sucked in a sharp gasp and blinked down at Sean's groaning body. The latter had managed to cut the rope, making him fall and slam into the ground. Sean was still completely unaware of the danger lurking behind him, but Jungkook made his presence known by pushing his lips together and whistling.

Sean's head shot up at the sound of the soft whistle before he swung it around to look at Jungkook. His eyes grew wide and breath faltered as he laid on his stomach motionless. Raw fear and regret wrapped around Sean's throat, making it clog up, before travelling down to his heart to make it pump faster.

"Well, well, well." Jungkook sang lightly, grinning as he placed the tip of his throwing knife against the tree trunk and trailed it over it. Jungkook's lips stretched out into a crazed bunny smile and his eyes crinkled in the corners before he threw his head back and laughed.

Sean looked absolutely horrified as he stared at Jungkook, not recognising the timid boy, who had curled into himself in Kolten's mere presence, or the boy that cried and sobbed over the little girl's death. Sean released a shaky breath, only to tense yet again as Jungkook straightened out and took a confident step towards him.

"I've been waiting for you, you know." Jungkook gifted Sean a relieved smile before taking a few more steps towards him and spreading his arms out open, "I built these traps for you. All of them, just for you. Does that make you feel special?" Jungkook wondered, tilting his head to the side as he gestured towards the rope tied around the tree branch.

"Jun...Jungkook, was it?" Sean finally breathed out- his tongue heavy in his mouth and throat completely dry. He panted as he gripped the leaves behind him and dragged himself away from Jungkook without breaking eye contact with the boy, "Listen...I'm sorry, I'm so sorry for what I did, I regret it. But if you do this, you'll regret it too, believe me, you'll do." Sean murmured, nodding at his own words to try and convince Jungkook to believe them too.

"Is that so?" Jungkook chuckled, throwing his knife up in the air before catching it by the handle. Jungkook ran his hand through this sweaty hair before approaching Sean, "I don't think I will." Jungkook laughed before raising his leg and slamming it into Sean's stomach.

Sean cried out in pain and curled into himself, rolling into his side and wrapping his arms around his stomach, "Jungkook...Jungkook... listen, you don't wan-"

Jungkook cut Sean off be swinging his leg towards him and slamming it into his stomach once again. Jungkook cooed and crouched down next to Sean as the Male released a choked groan and squeezed his eyes shut.

"You think I'll regret it?" Jungkook breathed out softly, looking down at the throwing knife as he watched the moon reflect on the blade and shine into his eyes.

Sean released another cough and slowly pushed himself away from Jungkook, not saying anything as he stared up at him. Fear was the only thing he felt as he watched Jungkook look up from the knife and stare into his eyes. Jungkook's eyes held nothing but thirst for blood and revenge, no hints of mercy or guilt were present as he stretched out his lips and grinned back at Sean.

"Nothing would bring me more joy than seeing you suffer." Jungkook breathed out before pouncing on top of Sean. The latter cried out again as he was pushed to the ground.

Jungkook pressed his knife against Sean's cheek and dragged it down, leaving behind a deep cut and a trail of blood. Sean groaned and swung his fists towards Jungkook, only for the male to dodge and slap his hands away. Jungkook grinned and pressed the knife into Sean's chest. Sean cried out in pain and wiggled around, grabbing Jungkook's wrist and pushing his hand away, only for the knife to get dragged across his chest and leave behind a deep cut.

"Stop!" Sean yelled, squeezing his eyes shut before pulling his legs back and pushing Jungkook away.

The bloody knife flew out of Jungkook's hand as he was pushed away. He winced as he landed on his side and immediately pressed his hands against the ground to scramble towards the fallen knife, only for Sean to grab him by his ankle and drag him back. Jungkook hissed as his wool sweater rolled up and he scratched his stomach on a few rocks. He looked back over his shoulder at a panting Sean before raising his foot and slamming it into his face.

Sean shouted in pain and hunched over, pressing his hands against his bleeding nose. Jungkook smirked at the sight before quickly grabbing the knife and scrambling up to his feet. Jungkook blew his hair out of his face and stumbled towards Sean.

"I..I didn't kill the girl." Sean cried out, pulling his hands away from his face to reveal the blood rolling out of his nose and over his lips. His teeth were stained red as he parted his lips to speak, staring up at Jungkook with pleading eyes, "It...it was Kolten for god's sake! It wasn't me, I didn't do anything!" Sean screamed, placing his foot on the ground to stand up.

Raw anger washed over Jungkook at hearing Sean's words before he marched towards him and kneed him in the face, making Sean fall back, "Her name was Marley." Jungkook growled, tightening his grip on the dagger before raising his leg and kicking Sean in the stomach yet again, "You may not be the one who pulled the gun, yet you still did nothing. Nothing!" Jungkook shouted before reaching out his hand and grabbing Sean by his collar to pull him towards him. Jungkook's face was red and his eyes were narrowed into a dangerous glare as he lowered his voice and spat in Sean's face, making him flinch back, "I won't just kill you, oh, I'll drag it out as long and painful as I can."

Something cold pressed against the back of Jungkook's neck, making his eyes flicker up and his grip loosen around Sean's collar. A breath of relief left Sean's lips at the sight of a familiar female looming behind Jungkook, only for him to grunt when Jungkook threw him on the ground and straightened out.

"No, I don't think you will." A female voice drifted into Jungkook's ears before the gun was shoved harder into his skin, "You see, it will all happen a bit differently- I'm gonna kill you." Jungkook huffed out a laugh and shook his head before raising his hands in surrender and turning around to face the female.

The smile on Jungkook's face crumbled and his eyes widened as he looked down at the familiar face of Katelyn. He looked past the gun, shoved in his face, and ran his eyes over her sharpened features. Katelyn's baby fat was completely gone and her face was bare of any makeup, showing off the purple bags resting under her eyes, along with the small pimples here and there. Katelyn's once pin-straight hair was now in the form of wild curls, that were pulled up into a ponytail, and her once skinny figure was now more muscular and curvy.

Jungkook blinked down at Katelyn's shocked face and dropped his hands to his side. His heart pounded in his chest and his palms became sweaty. Once again, Jungkook was viciously attacked by memories and the ghosts of the past. Seeing Katelyn reminded him of the world before the walkers, and who he became because of Katelyn. Anger bubbled up in Jungkook's stomach as he shook his head and returned back to reality.

"Well...." Jungkook began, stretching his lips into a bunny smile before shooting out his hand and wrapping it around Katelyn's wrist. He pushed her hand away, only for Katelyn to accidentally press down on the trigger. A bullet shot out of the gun, whooshing past Jungkook's head- barely missing by centimetres. Jungkook winced at the loud noise coming out of the gun before twisting her hand around, making her cry out in pain and drop the gun. Jungkook huffed, placing his leg behind Katelyn's legs and pulling it in his direction. Katelyn yelped as she was tripped- she fell onto her back and winced at the ripple of pain running through her spine.

"This is a nice little reunion- all the people I hate the most in the world, in the same area, what a coincidence." Jungkook released Katelyn's hand and spun around in a circle, smirking down at a panting, glaring Sean, and a wide eyed Katelyn. Jungkook's smile widened as he bent down and picked up the fallen gun, admiring it before spreading his arms out open and looking between Kate and Sean, "So who should I kill first?" Jungkook rose a brow- his smile widening as he saw the bewildered expression on Katelyn's face.

"Jeon...Jeongguk?" Katelyn breathed out, swaying as she sat on her knees and stared up at him like she had seen a ghost. Katelyn pressed her hand against her sweaty forehead and rubbed the skin there. She looked up at Jungkook with wide, pain filled eyes, immediately noticing the difference in Jungkook.

Jungkook's once chubby cheeks had lost their chubbiness, and now carried a small scar on his cheekbone. His once lanky, small form had filled out and now everywhere you looked, you saw muscles. Jungkook's hair reached his eyes, hiding the sinister glint in his once innocent eyes. The bunny smile on his lips was no longer genuine and full of purity, but rather was there to make you feel more on edge.

Jungkook ignored what Katelyn said and swung the gun towards Sean, making him flinch and move away, "Children killing Sean?" Jungkook sang before shoving the gun in Katelyn's direction, "Or bitchy whore of a Katelyn?" Jungkook sneered in disgust, tightening his grip on the gun before inhaling deeply and looking away, "So? Who's it gonna be?"

"You!"

A loud war-cry ripped through the air before Sebastian jumped on top of Jungkook, bringing him down to the ground and making him drop the gun. Jungkook groaned at the weight on his back before he pushed Sebastian off of himself and rolled on top of him. The sudden courage in Sebastian disappeared as he stared up at Jungkook's furious face, only for Jungkook to raise his fist and punch him in the face.

Sebastian's head flew to the side and tears welled up his eyes at the stinging sensation in his cheek. His hands flew up to his face to shield himself as Jungkook reeled his hand back and punched him in the face again. Jungkook continued to deliver punch after punch down on Sebastian's covered face, earning himself groans and soft cries in return.

Jungkook's vision blurred together as he continued to punch Sebastian, only for a hand to wrap around his raised, bloody hand and pull it away. Jungkook's head swung around to look at Katelyn, but the girl quickly ripped him off of Sebastian and put him into a choke hold.

"I'll kill you!" Jungkook shouted, trashing around and grabbing Katelyn's arms to pull her away. Jungkook's airways were cut off as Katelyn tightened her arms around his throat, making it nearly impossible for him to breathe, "I'll...kill you." Jungkook wheezed out as his vision began to blur and his movements became more sluggish.

"You're not yourself." Katelyn's whispered into his ear, wincing as she tightened her grip even more, completely cutting off Kook's airways.

Jungkook's lips parted as he tried to suck in a breath, only to fail. His lungs ached and begged for oxygen, and his brain began to hurt from not receiving any of it. Kook's slitted eyes lifted from the ground and zeroed in on Sean. His hold on Katelyn's arms loosened and his vision became hazy as he watched Sean stand up and look back at him. Jungkook and Sean made eye contact before the dark skinned boy frowned and averted his eyes. Everything in Jungkook froze as he watched Sean turn his back to him and dash away, disappearing amongst the darkness of the forest.

Katelyn was still in shock from seeing Jungkook, not realising that she had sunk into memories of who she, and Jungkook, were before the world fucked them up. Her grip on Jungkook's throat had loosened a bit, allowing the boy to suck in a shaky breath and lean his head forward before swinging it back and slamming it against Katelyn's face.

"Shit!" Katelyn yelped, scrunching up her face and releasing Jungkook from his choke hold on reflex. Her eyes shot open when she realised what she had done, but it was too late because Jungkook turned around and backhanded her across the face. Katelyn yelped and grabbed her stinging cheek, looking up at Jungkook with disbelief- not expecting it to come from him.

Sharp gasps fell from Jungkook's lips as he sat on his hands and knees, glaring at a wincing Katelyn. He was about to pounce on her again and strangle her to death, but Sebastian quickly stepped in and kicked Jungkook in the stomach.

Jungkook grunted and flinched, wrapping his arm against his stomach as he pushed himself away from Sebastian, only for the sweaty boy to kick him again. Jungkook landed on his side and looked up at Sebastian before rolling onto his stomach and crawling away. The sound of a disbelief filled laugh echoed behind him as Jungkook froze and stared down at Taehyung's knife hidden between the green leaves.

"You acted...so tough. But now you run away? Jesus Christ at least die with some dignity." Sebastian scoffed, marching towards Jungkook to kick him again. The sudden urge of power and control he felt after kicking Jungkook and seeing him crawl away, clouded Sebastian's mind and made him blind to everything else.

Katelyn's eyes widened at Sebastian's actions and the fact the Jungkook pushed away a few leaves, revealing a sharp knife beneath them, "Wait! Stop!" Katelyn screamed, scrambling up to her feet to rip Sebastian away from Jungkook but it was already too late.

Jungkook ignored Katelyn's scream and sprung up to his feet, and as he was spinning around to face Sebastian, he shot out his hand and sliced the knife across his throat. Blood splattered onto Jungkook's face, and Sebastian's body stumbled forward as a line of red appeared on his neck and blood dripped down his skin.

Katelyn's expression was the one of horror as Sebastian choked and coughed out more blood, causing a droplet of blood to appear on the corner of his mouth. Her eyes travelled over Sebastian's shoulder and the look of horror increased as she saw Jungkook.

Jungkook was was eerily calm and his eyes didn't displayed a hint of remorse or guilt. He inhaled sharply, tightening his hold on his knife before raising his leg and kicking Sebastian into the chest, causing him to stumble back and fall to the ground. Jungkook rose a brow and turned his chin upward before lifting his gaze towards a still shocked Katelyn.

"You're next." Jungkook breathed out before stepping over Sebastian's twitching body and stomping towards Katelyn.

The blonde girl pressed her tongue against her cheek cheek before tightening her ponytail and nodding back at Jungkook, "Fine, lets do this." Katelyn sneered, running towards Jungkook and meeting him halfway.

Jungkook ducked as Katelyn took a swing at him, only to raise her leg and try to kick him in the side. Jungkook caught her leg and pulled it towards himself, making her stumble forward. Katelyn pushed off of the ground and jumped on top of him- wrapping her legs around Jungkook's waist and her arms around his neck. Jungkook stumbled back and grabbed her by her hips, ripping her off of him and throwing her to the ground.

Katelyn slammed into the ground with a groan before rolling into her back and jumping back on her feet. Her eyes squinted into a glare and loosely strands of hair fell into her face as she and Jungkook circled each other.

"Jeongguk, put down the knife, this isn't you." Katelyn gritted, clenching her fists as she stopped walking, making Jungkook stop too. Her eyes flickered down towards the knife in Kook's hand before returning to look him in the eyes.

Jungkook quirked a brow and tilted his head to the side innocently, "Think what you want to think. It won't matter when you're dead." Jungkook hissed before running towards her.

The two clashed together once again- Katelyn's smaller body hitting the ground and Jungkook falling on top of her. Jungkook twirled his knife around before swinging it down towards Katelyn, aiming it towards her head. Katelyn gasped and shot out her hands, pressing them against Jungkook's wrists to stop the knife from lodging into her skull.

Jungkook's breathing was heavy and skin was sweaty, his eyes were crazed and lips had curled into a sneer. A droplet of sweat ran down the bridge of his nose, mixing together with the blood on his face before dripping down on Katelyn's cheek. The girl flinched and gritted her teeth, wincing as her hands shook from trying to keep the knife away from her skin.

Jungkook scoffed and pressed his other hand against the handle of the knife, using both hands to push it towards Katelyn. Katelyn's eyes grew large as she stared at the tip of the blade- tilting her head away as it came closer and closer.

"Jeongguk, Stop! This isn't you!" Katelyn screamed, trying to crawl away from Jungkook, all while trying to stop the knife from piercing through her skull.

"Shut up! Shut up! Shut up!" Jungkook yelled back at her, feeling tears gather in his eyes and spit fly out of his mouth. He growled and tightened his hold on the knife before pushing it down harder.

Katelyn cried out as her grip on the knife slipped before she jerked to the side, allowing it to slam into her shoulder. Pain ripped through her body and her eyes teared up before she huffed and kneed Jungkook in the crotch.

Jungkook gasped in pain, hunching over her body and releasing his hold on the knife. He screwed his eyes shut and hissed as he pressed one hand against his dick, feeling ripples of pain rock through his body.

Katelyn took Jungkook's pain to her advantage and punched him in the face before pushing him off. Her hand trembled as it flew up to the knife stuck in her shoulder. She scrambled up to her feet and stumbled away from Jungkook, panting and clutching her bleeding shoulder.

Jungkook's eyes flew open and head shot up at the action. He winced and shifted carefully before slowly standing up on his feet, "That's a...dirty move." Jungkook gritted, still hunched over. He pressed his hand against his cheek and rubbed the spot there, wincing at the stinging sensation in his jaw.

"Fuck you, fake Jungkook!" Katelyn spat before ripping the knife out of her shoulder. She hissed and pressed her hand against the wound, staining her palm red with blood. She eyed Jungkook from afar, taking small steps away from him as she thought about what to do.

Jungkook straightened out and took a step towards her, only for Katelyn to turn around and run into the forest. Jungkook blinked at the place where Katelyn stood before scoffing and dashing after her.

"Katelyn!" Jungkook yelled after her, panting as he ran through the woods. Darkness wrapped around him and trees surrounded him, making it hard for Jungkook to recognise his surroundings and see Katelyn.

Jungkook's footsteps faltered and he stopped walking, instead, he slowly spun around in a circle and eyed the eerily quiet forest. The bells had stopped ringing after no one came to reset the traps, allowing Jungkook to hear the sound of an occasional crack or a bristle in the woods.

"Katelyn! I know you're listening!" Jungkook sang, glaring into the darkness around him as he took small steps forward, brushing his fingers against the tree next to him.

The silence engulfed him, not giving him an answer of where Katelyn could be or where Sean had ran off to. Jungkook released a deep sigh and slouched against the tree next to him, he pulled up his shirt to look down at the bruises forming on his stomach. The skin on his six pack and around his small waist was a soft red, indicating that later on it would turn a soft green and purple. The adrenaline in Jungkook, prevented him from feeling the pain from the bruises or the pain in his bloody knuckles.

Jungkook looked up and released his shirt as he heard the familiar sound of a bell. The soft nose drifted through the air, mingling together with the cold breeze until it reached Jungkook's ears. He pushed off of the tree and brushed the dirt off of his shirt. Jungkook's confused gaze was directed in the direction of the soft noise as he moved his legs and took large, confident steps forward.

After walking for a few seconds, Jungkook placed his foot on a patch of perfectly set up leaves. The weight and movement triggered his own set up trap, causing an axe to swing through the air towards his head. A branch snapped behind him before a hand curled around Jungkook's shirt, grabbing him and pulling him back. Jungkook gasped and stumbled away from the flying axe, nearly falling to the ground from the harsh pull.

Jungkook's eyes were wide as he stared at the axe, that hit a tree and stayed lodged into the trunk. He swallowed down the lump in his throat before whirling around on his heel. Jungkook didn't hesitate as he stared down at a frowning Katelyn- his hand shot out and he grabbed her wrist. Jungkook's eyes squinted into a glare and his lip curled into a smirk before he took a step towards her, making her furrow her brows and take a step back.

"Idiot." Jungkook spat, releasing her wrist and grabbing her by her throat. Katelyn released a yelp, shooting her hands up to grab Jungkook's wrist and pull his hand away, but Jungkook only tightened his hold, cutting off her airways.

"Jeongguk." Katelyn choked out, looking up at him with tears in her eyes, only for the boy to send her a toothy grin.

As Jungkook's hand tightened around her throat, Katelyn quickly realised that Jungkook wasn't going to stop and he wanted to kill her. She stared up at Kook's merciless face with tears in her eyes, wondering what happened to the boy she used to know. Her vision began to blur together and her legs trembled, she could feel her chest tighten and her head pound from the lack of oxygen. Kate's face hardened and she blinked away her tears before sliding her fingers between her neck and Jungkook's large hand. Jungkook's smile crumbled as Katelyn kicked him in his knee and grabbed his thumb, twisting it in the other direction.

A sharp cry left Jungkook's lips as Katelyn continued to twist his thumb. She raised her leg to kick him in the knee again, but Jungkook grabbed her leg and pushed it away before ripping his hand away from her. Jungkook reeled his hand back, curling it into a fist before swinging it at Katelyn. The girl ducked to the side and pushed his hand away before twirling around and swinging her elbow at him. Jungkook defected her blow with his palm before tangling his hand into Katelyn's hair and ripping her head back.

"No hair pulling!" Katelyn growled out, grabbing onto Kook's wrist as he pushed her down on her knees and began to pull her towards the axe in the tree. She scrambled after him, trying to keep up with his long strides. Small rocks and broken branches dug into her knees, scraping them and making them bleed.

"Jeongguk, stop! I'm not here to fight you or...or hurt you. You don't have to do this, just stop and we'll talk." Katelyn hissed out, wincing as Jungkook's grip on her hair tightened before he pushed her away completely. Katelyn sat up on her knees and rubbed her skull as she stared at Jungkook's broad back. She swallowed the lump in her throat and stood up from the ground, "I care about you, I do, please let me help you. We can figure this out and...and maybe help you become what you used to be. Who you used to be." Kate whispered as softly as she knew.

Jungkook shook his head, clenching his jaw and glaring at the axe in front of him. He stared at his reflection in the blade before reaching out his hand and tugging the axe out of the tree.

"I don't want to be who I used to be. That Jungkook was stupid, naive, gullible. He would've gotten himself killed by trusting people so easily." Jungkook scoffed, siding his hands over the wooden handle of the axe as he turned around to face Katelyn. He looked up from the sharp blade and extended the ax towards her- aligning the blade with her throat, "Old Jungkook would've given you a chance, would've ran towards you and trusted you right away. Choices like that...they would've gotten me, and the people I care about, killed." Jungkook spat, raising the axe and swinging it towards Katelyn's head.

Katelyn gasped and jumped back to avoid the axe swinging towards her, "Let!" Katelyn screamed, ducking as Jungkook swung the axe again, "Me!" She continued, dropping down to the ground and sliding her feet under Jungkook's legs, making him fall to the ground with a grunt, "Help you." Kate breathed out, quickly crawling to grab the axe, only for Jungkook to pounce on her and push her down to the ground.

"I don't need your help!" Jungkook yelled back, pushing her head into the dirt before leaning over her towards the axe. The tips of his fingers brushed against the wooden handle, only for Katelyn to fight against his hold and knock her elbow into his jaw.

Jungkook yelped and scrunched up his face but it didn't stop him from grabbing the axe and pulling it closer. He kept Katelyn pushed against the ground with one hand, while holding the axe with his left hand. The girl underneath his struggled against his hold by wiggling and squirming around.

"Why are you doing this?" Katelyn hissed, inching her hand down to her waistband and pulling out the knife, that Jungkook stabbed into her shoulder.

Jungkook didn't notice the movement and sat up, turning her onto her back and pushing her onto the ground again- because he wanted to stare into her eyes as he took her life, "Because you're a horrible human being and you don't deserve to live. I'm just saving the life of someone out there, someone that you could have killed." Jungkook spat, raising the axe above his head and swinging it down towards Katelyn's head.

Out of nowhere, Katelyn sprung up, grabbing the axe by its handle and pushing it away before swinging the throwing knife towards Jungkook and stabbing it into his side. Jungkook gasped and allowed the axe to fall to the ground as Katelyn pulled the knife out of him, leaving behind an open wound. Blood poured out of the hole in his side, soaking into his sweater and staining it red. Jungkook released a shaky breath and pressed his hand against the wound before pulling it away and revealing blood staining his palm.

Katelyn pushed herself out from beneath Jungkook and quickly jumped up to her feet. She shook her head as she slowly moved away, keeping her eyes locked on Jungkook's body and the bloody wound in his side.

"I'm sorry, but I can't let you kill me." Katelyn grumbled, bending down to grab the axe laying next to Jungkook and quickly jumping away from the boy as he snapped his head towards her.

Jungkook blew his sweaty hair out of his face and wiped away the sweat between his brows before standing up on his shaking legs and pressing his hand against his wound. Jungkook hissed and winced as pain shot through his side, making his hands tremble and vision go a bit hazy.

"You're gonna regret that." Jungkook murmured, keeping his eyes locked knto Kate as he dragged his feet over to her. Blood dripped from his hand and a bruise began forming on his jaw, his hair fell into his face yet again- casting shadows over his already darkened features and making the sinister glow in his eyes more prominent.

Katelyn swallowed down the lump in her throat and dropped the axe to the ground. Jungkook's brows knitted together and his footsteps faltered as he glanced down at the axe before looking back up at Kate. The curly haired female released a shaky breath and pulled out her gun- pointing it at Jungkook with a conflicted expression on her face.

"I don't want to hurt you." Katelyn breathed out, tightening her grip on the gun to stop her hands from shaking. She winced and shook her head, stepping away from Jungkook as the boy ignored her and stepped closer, "Stop walking, Jeon, I said that I don't want to hurt you. But you won't leave me a choice!" Katelyn shouted, taking a few more steps away from Jungkook to create more distance between them.

Jungkook released a dark chuckle, stopping next to the fallen axe before bending down to pick it up. He gripped the weapon with both hands and glared down at Katelyn with raw hatred, "Oh, but I want to hurt you, I want to cut your stomach open and pull out your intestines. I want to wrap them around your body to form a little bow, and then send your body to Sean as a present." Jungkook sneered, tightening his grip on the handle of the axe before taking another step towards Katelyn.

"I refuse to hurt you, Jeongguk." Katelyn gritted out, lowering the gun and dropping her hand to her side. Her eyes didn't stray from Jungkook's shocked face as she released a shaky breath and warily dropped the gun down to the ground before holding her hands up in surrender.

Jungkook stared at her in surprise, not expecting the move from Katelyn. He subconsciously lowered the axe, only to snap out of his surprised state and sneer back at her, "You're an idiot." Jungkook spat, reeling his axe back and jumping towards her.

Katelyn's eyes widened and she gasped, stumbling back as she saw the axe coming down towards her. Her foot caught onto a root coming out of the tree next to her, causing her to loose her balance and fall through the thick wall of bushes behind her. A small scream ripped through the air as Katelyn disappeared through the bushes, leaving behind a shocked Jungkook.

The axe swung through the air and whooshed through the place where Katelyn used to stand. Jungkook straightened out and blinked at the wall of bushes before quickly grabbing onto them and spreading them apart to peak through them. Jungkook's brows knitted together, only to shoot up when he saw a hill hidden behind the bushes. He eyed the bottom of the hill- the rocks there and the thick blanket of bushes, but he didn't see any movement as he tried to find Katelyn.

"Damn it." Jungkook grumbled, whirling around on his heel and chucking the axe down to the ground. He tangled his hands into his sweaty hair and pulled at a few strands as he paced around and wondered what to do.

He couldn't go after Katelyn because the hill was too steep and he didn't know if he could get back up, or what even was down there. What if walkers had fallen down there and were hiding within the bushes? Jungkook just couldn't risk going after her and he had to settle with the thought that she was either dead, or she was alive and he had to kill her another time.

Jungkook released a deep sigh and pouted in disappointment. He began to walk over to the fallen axe and bent down to pick it up, only to cry out in pain as a sharp stinging sensation washed through his stomach. Jungkook immediately straightened back out, holding onto the axe weakly as he glanced down at his stomach and remembered about his stab wound. Jungkook's nose scrunched up as he pressed his hand against the bleeding wound, to try and keep the blood inside, before huffing and dragging his feet out of the forest and back to the prison.

Blood dripped down Jungkook's fingers and fell onto the leaves beneath him. Jungkook's vision was a bit blurry and his movements were more sluggish as he dragged his feet through the forest. He lifted his gaze from the ground in front of him and looked forward, smiling as he noticed the forest ending and a red car standing next to the road.

The sun began to rise behind Jungkook- peeking through the trees and attaching its sun-rays onto everything it could see. The soft pinks and yellows, from the sun, mixed and clashed together with the darkness of the night. The soft chirping from the birds drifted through the air, mingling together with an occasionally growl coming from a walker, that stumbled through the forest.

Jungkook continued to walk forward, keeping his eyes glued onto the red car. He didn't know how to drive it, but he was too lazy and wounded to walk back home, so he opted on driving the car and later asking Taehyung to teach him.

Speaking of Taehyung, Jungkook remembered that he had specifically told him to not lose his knife. And what did Jungkook do? He lost the knife. Now Jungkook was a bit scared of Taehyung's reaction after he tells him that he lost his throwing knife, because Taehyung promised to beat his ass if Jungkook lost it. But Jungkook was sure that he could fight Taehyung for a little while, and if Taehyung tries to kill him, he'll just run to Rick or Daryl.

Jungkook stepped out of the line of trees and approached the red car, only for his footsteps to falter and the smile on his face to crumble. Jungkook froze as he stared at Sean sitting in the car, staring out of the front window with wide eyes.

Sean was practically drowning in his own sweat, causing wet patches to appear on the area on his chest and armpits. Bags rested under his eyes and his skin was too pale for it to be healthy. The dark skinned male had curled into himself- he wrapped his arms around his shivering body and blinked lazily out of the window. Dried blood rested under his nose and a dirt stained his cheekbone.

Anger washed over Jungkook once again before he stomped over to the car and ripped the door open. Sean's eyes didn't leave the window in front of him as he released a sigh and shut his eyes, slouching into the seat.

"Hey, can we go? I...I don't feel so good." Sean grumbled, wincing as he shifted in the seat to make himself more comfortable.

Jungkook released a small chuckle, leaning against the door as he smiled down at Sean, happy and relieved to see his face. Sean's eyes shot open and he froze at the sound of the unfamiliar laugh, "You don't feel so good? I can help you with that." Jungkook chuckled again before reaching out and ripping Sean out of the car.

"Shit, Jungkook!" Sean yelped, looking startled and terrified as Jungkook pulled him around the car and pushed him to the ground. Sean hissed as he fell against the cold pavement before scrambling up to sit on his knees and look up at Jungkook, "Listen, oh god, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. We can put all this past us and move o-"

"You say you're sorry, yet you're actions show otherwise." Jungkook spoke in a light tone, placing the axe against the pavement and dragging it along as he approached Sean, who scrambled away, "You're such a coward. You're the reason I tried to kill you and your little group came to save you from me, but you just...got up and left me with them. You left them to fight your battles." Jungkook scoffed in disbelief, not breaking eye contact with Sean, who gulped and released a nervous laugh.

"That's not true. I...I have my reason, okay? I don't have long left and I didn't want to die, I wanted to spend a few more hours enjoying the wonders of this world." Sean stuttered, chewing on his lips as he grabbed onto his shirt and pulled it up to show off a nasty bite mark on his stomach, "I'm bit." Sean breathed out, wincing as he shifted on his knees.

Jungkook stopped walking and rose a brow as he stared down at the bite mark. There was a chunk of meat missing from Sean's waist, indicating that the walker had chomped down and ripped out a chunk of meat out of Sean. The skin around the bite was red and swollen, and blood dripped down his skin and stained his shirt.

Jungkook huffed out a laugh, shaking his head and holding up his axe to place it on his shoulder, "And what do you want me to do? Let you go?" The boy entertained the idea, smirking as Sean's face lit up.

"You know...I am sorry for not doing anything to stop that little girl's dea-"

"Her name was Marley." Jungkook gritted, his hand tightening around the handle of the axe and jaw clenching. His nostrils flared and shoulders squared, he shifted his weight from foot to foot, trying to stop himself from killing Sean.

Sean sent him a shaky smile and raised his hands up in surrender, "Right, Marley's death. But if you want to kill someone, kill Kolten. Plus, I'm already dying and I want to enjoy the last movements of my life- to eat everything I want, maybe get laid and sleep on a comfortable bed." Sean breathed out, looking off into the distance as he thought about the things he wanted to do before he died.

Jungkook's lips parted and eyes teared up before he scoffed and smiled bitterly, "Woah, you're so..." Jungkook trailed off, getting at a loss for words before he glared down at a confused Sean, "You want to enjoy the last movements of your life before you die? Well, have you ever thought about that Marley wanted to enjoy her life too? She was only 10 and you ripped her life away from her!" Jungkook shouted, bringing his axe off of his shoulder and holding out towards a wide eyed Sean.

"It...it wasn't me!"

"There's so much she wanted to do, so much she could've done! So many foods she could've tried, so many places she could've went, and you ripped it all away!" Jungkook screamed- his cheeks turning red and voice cracking mid shout. Jungkook released a frustrated scream and swung the axe towards Sean. The axe flew through the air and slashed across Sean's chest, tearing his shirt apart and creating a deep slash across his pecks.

Sean screamed out in pain and curled into himself- pressing his hands onto the skin near the wound. Pain rippled through his body, making his vision go white and his breathing turn into shallow pants.

Jungkook's furious expression calmed down as he saw the wound on Sean's chest and the pain on his face, "If she doesn't get to have what she wanted, then you won't either." Jungkook sneered before pulling the axe back and swinging it towards Sean.

"WAIT, STO-"

Jungkook cut off Sean's shout by bringing the axe down on him in a one swift and fluid motion. The sharp blade cut through Sean's neck like it was butter. A cracking sound filled the air, followed by a thud, as Jungkook cut through the bone.  Sean's head fell to the ground and rolled across the pavement, before the rest of his body slumped by Jungkook's feat.

Harsh pants escaped Jungkook's lips before they tugged up in the corners as he stared at Sean's decapitated head. Jungkook lowered the bloody axe and allowed it to drop down to the ground by his feet before crouching down next to Sean's body. He rolled him onto his back and looked down at the golden chain laying over his chest. Jungkook reached out and curled his fingers around the chain before taking it off.

Four down, one to go.

Jungkook stood back up and shoved Sean's necklace into his pocket. Jungkook has collected another sign of victory, and now he had only one person left to kill before Marley was revenged.

Jungkook's face lit up with a bunny smile before he released a content sigh and tilted his head back. The soft rays of the sun attached to his face, and the cold morning breeze wrapped around his sweaty body, contrasting against the warmth of his skin. Jungkook's grin didn't falter as he fluttered his eyes open and looked down at Sean's head laying by his feet.

A pool of blood surrounded the area of the chopped off head and the rest of the body. Sean's head was laying on its side- his eyes had rolled into the back of his head and his lips were parted, allowing a trickle of blood to roll down the corner of his mouth.

Jungkook giggled and ran his tongue over his lips before sinking his teeth into his lower lip. He stared down at the chopped off head for a few more seconds before reeling his leg back and then swinging it forward. Jungkook's foot slammed into Sean's head, causing it to fly into the air and towards the forest. Jungkook watched with a toothy grin and an occasional giggle as the head flew off the road and rolled somewhere into the bushes.

"Nice." Jungkook whispered under his breath, shoving his hands into his pockets before whirling around on his feet and approaching the red car.
