F*ck you

The door creaked as it was pulled open, followed by the sound of Jungkook's crutch hitting the concrete floor as he limped into the main room. The group pooled into the room behind him, taking their places around the metal table that Jungkook pulled himself up on.

Taehyung walked into the room behind them, his muscular arms holding up Judith, who blinked up at him with doe eyes. He bounced her gently, standing next to the metal table and leaning onto it with his hip.

Jungkook felt his presence and heard the soft cooing coming from Judith, making him glance over his shoulder. A look of annoyance washed over his face as he made eye-contact with Taehyung, who was bouncing Judith to try and get her to sleep. Taehyung's lips twitched up and he sent him a wink, causing Jungkook's nose to scrunch up before his eyes flickered down to Judith and he immediately looked away.

Jungkook placed his crutch between his dangling legs and eyed the unfamiliar group as Rick came up to them and stood in front of Tyreese.

"I'm Tyreese." He introduced himself, extending his arm towards Rick, only for Rick to ignore his hand and stare back at him coldly.

Jungkook cocked a brow and allowed the corner of his lips to twitch up into a dark smirk as he watched the exchange. Tyreese slowly lowered his arm, allowing the tension to engulf the room.

Hershel chose this as the right time to interfere- raising one of his crutches to gesture towards the group behind Tyreese as he stated their names, "Sasha, Allen, Ben."

"How'd you get in?" Rick inquired, eyes dancing between the members as he assessed them.

Tyreese shifted on his feet and gestured towards the door they had gone through, "Fire damage to the administrative part of the prison. Walls down."

"That side's completely overrun by walkers, how'd you get his far?" Rick cocked a brow, one hand resting on his gun, while the other hung loosely by his side.

Jungkook crossed his arms on top of the crutch, between his legs, and rested his chin on top of his arms. He chewed on his bottom lip, trying to ignore the sound of Judith sucking on a pacifier behind him and, instead, focused on the conversation before his eyes.

"We didn't." Tyreese furrowed his brows, eyes glossing over with sadness. He cleared his throat and looked back up, realising that he spaced out, "We lost our friend- Donna."

Taehyung shifted Judith from laying against his chest to laying over both of his arms, after he noticed that her eyes were slowly shutting. He looked back at the group, face expressionless and calm, not giving away much emotion as he took them in. The group didn't seem harmless, well, not all of them. The man with the receding hairline and creepily bright blue eyes, was sizing the group up as if he was wondering if he could take them all out. Taehyung didn't like the look the man gave them, so he decided to keep a close eye on him.

"They were lost in the gyms." Carl spoke up from his place behind the metal table and next to Maggie. Jungkook sighed and shut his eyes, allowing his forehead to press against his hands after he heard Carl speak. Jungkook knew that Rick would be angry at Carl for bringing the group here, but he guessed that the truth would've come out sooner or later.

"And you brought them here?" Rick snapped, whirling around to face Carl, who averted his gaze to the ground. He took a step closer to Maggie and bit his lip.

Taehyung felt Judith shift in his arms and he looked down at her, noticing her face scrunch up from the noise. He quickly began to rock her in his arms to soothe her, while he looked up at Rick, who seemed to calm down after seeing the guilt on Carl's face.

"He had no choice." Hershel quickly interrupted Rick from saying anything else. The leader and him shared a look- Hershel giving him a stern glare, making Rick nod slowly and turn back to face the other group.

Jungkook lifted his head and straightened out, brushing his hair out of his face. He watched Rick as he gave the group a sympathetic look and murmured, "I'm sorry about your friend. We know what it's like."

The emotionless mask on Jungkook's face crumbled after hearing Rick's words and he averted his eyes towards the ground. Taehyung noticed the shift in him, but didn't say anything, only squinted his eyes and continued to observe the change in his demeanour. The images of Marley flashed through Kook's mind, making him flinch, before he shook his head and turned his attention back on Tyreese.

"Hershel said you could use some extra hands, we're no strangers to hard work. We'll go out and get our own food, stay out of your hair. You got a problem with another group, we'll help with that too." Tyreese stated with confidence, gesturing towards his group and looking Rick into the eyes with raw determination. Tyreese nodded slowly before speaking softer and quieter than before, "Anything to contribute."

"No."

Jungkook sat up, his eyes widening and face easing at the denial. A breath of relief tumbled past his lips and he nodded at what Rick was saying. Taehyung, on the other hand, allowed his surprise to be shown by stopping caressing Judith's back and raising his brow. The Rick, Taehyung remembered, wouldn't have turned these people away just because they're strangers, he would've given them a chance. But Taehyung's not naive and he accepts the fact, bthat the apocalypse changes people and gives them new morals.

"Please." Sasha pleaded, stepping up next to her brother, Tyreese. Her voice was shaky and her eyes soft as she addressed Rick, "It's like 'ten little Indians' out there, it's just us now."

Rick stared at her, his eyes cold and merciless as he shook his head, "No."

A satisfied smirk tugged at Jungkook's lips before he grabbed his crutch and prepared to leave, since everything was decided, only for Hershel to step in, "Let's talk about this." He said to Rick, taking a step towards him, making a clicking sound with his crutches, "We can't just-"

"We've been through this." Rick cut him off, placing his hands on his hips and halfway turning around to face Hershel, "With Tomas, Andrew. Look what happened." Rick shook his head.

Jungkook's brows furrowed and he looked back at Maggie in confusion. He remembered the prisoners when they arrived at the prison, but he didn't know what happened to them. And guessing by the look Maggie gave him and the way Rick spoke about them, they weren't good people.

"Axel and Oscar weren't like them."

Rick spun around, pivoting on his heel, "And where's Oscar now?" He snapped at Carol, making her frown back at him.

The group fell silent, allowing the silence to engulf them and fill the halls of the prison. Everyone kept their eyes locked on Rick, trusting him to make the final, and right, decision.

Jungkook anxiously chewed on his bottom lip and tapped his fingers against the crutch he was gripping. A small yawn reached his his earn, making him furrow his brows and look to his right.

Taehyung was leaning against the metal table- the edge of the table pressing into his lower back. Judith laid in his arms, her eyes shut and her lips parted to release soft breaths. Taehyung was staring down at her with a soft look on his face as he shifted her in his arms to make her more comfortable.

Jungkook watched as the Tae handled her delicately, as if she'd break if his movements were too brash. His eyes flickered down to Taehyung's exposed forearms, eyes dancing across the tattoos painting his tan skin. Jungkook's brow raised as he watched Taehyung's muscles flex as he moved Judith around.

Something behind Taehyung moved, capturing his attention and making him look towards the movement. His eyes connected with Maggie's mischievous ones, and he watched in confusion as Maggie casually nodded at Taehyung and wiggled her brows. Jungkook's whole face scrunched up and his mouth fell open in shock. He quickly shook his head and whirled back around to face the other group, unaware of the amused look on Taehyung's face after witnessing the ordeal.

When Jungkook faced the front, he realised that Hershel had pulled Rick off to the side to talk to him. His face crumbled into a look of exasperation as he watched the two talk. Jungkook could only hope that Hershel wouldn't convince Rick to let this group stay, but he knew that hoping was useless because Hershel is the one who's talking.

Taehyung pushed off of the table, using the fact that Hershel and Rick are having a conversation, to his advantage. With Judith in his arms, he manoeuvred around the table and made his way over to Beth. He sent her a small small and offered to give her Judith, which she did, with a bright smile and rosy cheeks. Taehyung sent her a small smile before turning around and walking back over to his place at the metal table.

Jungkook barely spared him a glance when he returned, but he made sure that Taehyung saw the eye-roll he directed towards him. Taehyung's lips twitched up into a ghost of a smirk as he leaned against the table with his hip, and crossed his arms over his chest.

The group watched Rick and Hershel, not being able to hear their conversation since they talked in hushed whispers. But despite that, they could tell when the conversation ended and the choice hung over Rick's head.

Rick's eyes dragged over each group member, trying to figure out what they would do in this situation, before looking back at Tyreese's group. He exhaled sharply and pinched the bridge of his nose, feeling everyone's eyes digging into his skin and pushing him towards making a decision. Rick pulled his hand away from his face and patted Hershel on the shoulder, giving him a brief nod.

Jungkook's shoulders slouched in defeat, and he frowned at the smile and nod, only for his face to drop into a look of confusion when he saw Rick looking over their heads at something. Rick's face grew pale and his eyes wide, he pressed his hand against his head- eyes averting towards the ground as he murmured something to himself.

Jungkook slipped off of the metal table and positioned his crutch under his armpit. He kept his eyes glued on Rick, but he allowed his eyes to drift over to the place where Rick was staring at previously, only to see nothing there. Jungkook looked back at Rick, noticing the distant look in his eyes and the way he wasn't fully wrapped up in reality.

"No, no, no, no."

Jungkook finally heard what Rick was saying, making him even more worried about the leader. He watched in confusion as Rick shifted on his feet and pressed his hand against his face before looking up at the archway above their heads and brushing past Hershel to walk closer to it.

Jungkook turned around and took a step towards Rick, only for a hand to curl around his bicep and stop him from walking closer. His head swung around to look at Taehyung, who stared down at him with a stern, yet blank look.

Jungkook flinched back when Taehyung leaned down and, while staring into his eyes, whispered, "Don't." Taehyung straightened back out and released his hold on Jungkook's arm, crossing his arms over his chest instead.

Jungkook blinked a few times, not fully comprehending what was happening as he tore his eyes away from Taehyung and over to Rick.

"Why are you here?" Rick asked almost softly as he marched past everyone and stood directly in front of the archway, "What do you want from me?"

"Dad?" Carl asked from behind Rick, his eyes wide and full of concern. He pushed his sheriff hat further up his head, when it tilted too far forward.

"Why are you....no." Rick's lips trembled and tears gathered in the corners of his eyes, he stumbled away from his place under the archway and shook his head, "I can't help you. Get out!" Rick shouted, face pale and eyes hazy as he spun around and stumbled through the room, "Get...get out!"

"Woah, woah, woah." Tyreese raised his hands in surrender and took a step away from Rick, pulling Sasha with him as he went, "Hey, come on. Whoa, It's all good." He murmured softly, looking at Rick with a puzzled expression.

Jungkook chewed on his lip and held his breath as he stared at Rick, who was pressing his hand against his face and squeezing his eyes shut. Jungkook gulped and took a small step towards him, his eyes wide and voice soft as he murmured, "Hey, easy, Rick. There's no need to-"

Jungkook flinched back when Rick whipped around towards him and screamed out, "You don't belong here! Get out! Please!" His voice was wobbly and his eyes remained fogged over.

Jungkook looked crestfallen as Taehyung grabbed him by his armpits and lifted him off of the ground. He didn't object to Taehyung's action, since he was too busy staring at Rick, who looked like he needed help more than ever. Jungkook wanted to be there for the leader like he was there for him, but he couldn't even help himself, how could he help someone else?

Jungkook's eyes widened and a gasp fell past his lips as Rick grabbed his gun and whipped it out. Taehyung was quick to pull Jungkook away from Rick as he spun around in circles and swung the gun in their faces. The group gasped and covered away, looking at Rick with fear and shock.

"Get out! Get out! Leave!" Rick yelled, his voice cracking and eyes tearing up in the corners as he cocked the gun and swung it around.

Jungkook gulped and took a step back, ignoring the fact that he bumped into Taehyung. Taehyung's face was emotionless and he was tense as he stared at Rick, not knowing what to do or what was happening. His hands remained located under Jungkook's armpits, in case Rick tried to attack them and he needed to rip him away.

"Relax, relax, we'll leave, we're going! Ain't nobody got to get shot here, we're going." Tyreese raised his arms, his eyes wide as he tried to hide the fear in his voice. He was quick to usher his group towards the exit, while still keeping an eye on Rick.

"Why are you doing here!" Rick shouted, pacing around the room. He tangled his hands into his hair and kept his eyes on the ground, yet his eyes occasionally flickered up to the archway above, "Why!"

"Okay, okay, we're going." Tyreese breathed out.

"Just go! Go! Go!" Glenn stepped in, keeping his eyes on Rick as he ushered Tyreese's group out of the prison. He paused at the exit of the room, staring at Rick before turning around and following after Tyreese.

The door slammed shut behind them, cutting off Rick's shouting and pacing around. The tension in the room grew, filling it up to the brim until the members were nearly drowning in it. Everyone stared at Rick- his face was still pale, yet his eyes had become clearer and not so hazy. Rick pinched the bridge of his nose, turning around to look at the group with shaky legs. He shook his head as he eyed them with wide eyes before spinning around and marching out of the room.

The tension in the room seemed to deflate as Rick opened the door and escaped down into the tunnels under the prison. Jungkook inhaled softly and blinked a few times, realising the Taehyung was touching him and that their bodies were brushing against each other.

Jungkook's face scrunched up and he immediately elbowed Taehyung in the stomach, making him cough and hunch over. Jungkook rolled his eyes and pushed past him to leave the room. He wanted to go after Rick but he figured he should give him time to think and cool down.

The prison was eerily silent, the only sound heard being an occasional crack or the sound of snoring from one of the cells. The sun had long set and the lights have been switched off since everyone went to sleep. Yet here Jungkook was, laying in his bed wide awake.

He didn't know how long he had been laying there, all he knew was that the lights turned off and he kept staring up at the bunk bed above him. He could hear Taehyung's steady breathing and how he occasionally rolled around in his bed, making Kook scowl and glare.

Finally having enough, Jungkook sat up in his bed with a sigh before pulling the duvet off of his body. He swung his legs over the edge of his bed and reached out to grab his crutch. Jungkook pushed off of the bed and limped towards the door, squinting his eyes and reaching out his free hand, in order to avoid bumping into the metal bars.

"Where are you going?" A deep voice whispered- the whisper bouncing off of the walls until it filled Jungkook's ears and made him jump.

Jungkook spun around, his steps wobbly, nearly causing him to fall over. He quickly grabbed onto the bars of the cell and steadied himself, before looking back at the bunkbed. He only now noticed the shadowy figure sitting up in the bed, leaning against the wall behind him with his arms crossed over his chest.

"None of your business." Jungkook hissed quietly, trying to not wake up the others. His lips were tilted down into a pout and his eyes were squinted into a hostile glare.

Taehyung huffed out a chuckle as he shifted on the top bunk, causing the moonlight to momentarily fall onto his features, "You preach the fact that I could be plotting your death, yet here you are- sneaking off somewhere in the middle of the night."

"Don't be so self-centred, not everything's about you." Jungkook scoffed and released his hold on the metal bars to fully face Taehyung.

"Oh." Taehyung breathed out, his lips tilting up into a feral grin as he leaned forward on the bed, causing the moonlight to illuminate his face, "Then tell me where are you going, Kookie." Taehyung purred with a ghost of a smirk. His raven hair fell into his face, shielding his obsidian black eyes, yet as he tilted his head back, the moonlight shone into his eyes, causing them to shine like two, little buttons.

Jungkook's eyes were wide at how demonic and intimidating Taehyung looked at the moment. All he was missing were two horns peaking out from his raven curls and a tail hanging loosely off the bed. Jungkook gulped and took a wary step back, bumping into the cell door.

"Nowhere." Jungkook breathed out, not being able to tear his eyes away from Taehyung. His eyes grew larger and his lips parted in shock as he watched Taehyung sigh and jump off of the top bunkbed.

Jungkook's heart was pounding in his chest and he gripped his crutch tighter, ready to use it as a weapon, as he stared at Taehyung. Instead of going towards Jungkook, Taehyung bent down and grabbed the small candle resting in the corner of the room. Jungkook's shoulders slouched in relief and he released a soft sigh when Taehyung turned on a lighter and lit the flame.

The light coming from the flame, scared away the darkness in the cell, allowing Taehyung and Jungkook to see each other. The flame latched onto Taehyung's face, illuminating one side, while casting shadows on the other. Taehyung looked down at his bag before shoving his hand inside and digging through it. After a few seconds, Taehyung pulled out a book and stood back up.

"If you're going to talk to Rick, talk in the morning. After today, he needs as much rest as he can." Taehyung advised Jungkook before swivelling around on his feet and plopping down on Jungkook's bed.

"What are you doing?" Jungkook huffed, taking a step towards Taehyung, who was casually lounging on Kook's bed, "Get out, it's my bed!" Jungkook grumbled, almost stomping over to Taehyung before he grabbed the edge of the duvet and ripped it out from beneath Taehyung.

"I thought you were leaving." Taehyung smirked, placing the candle on the floor before he opened the book and began to read it, "So if you're leaving, I'm just gonna sit here until you return." Taehyung's smirk turned devilish as he looked up at a glaring Jungkook, "You know, to keep it warm for your pretty ass." Taehyung ran his tongue over his bottom lip as his eyes danced up and down Jungkook's body.

Jungkook's face scrunched up and his cheeks tinted red from frustration, he stomped his crutch against the ground and growled at Taehyung, "Shut up, stop saying shit like that!"

"Cursing doesn't suit you." Taehyung winked before turning his attention back on the book.

"Cursing doesn't suit you." Jungkook mocked with an eye roll, only to frown when Taehyung ignored him and continued to read his book. Jungkook pursued his lips and placed his hand on top of the page Taehyung was reading, "Get off my bed!"

Taehyung ignored his hand and just flipped onto the next page, continuing to read there. Jungkook's breathing began to quicken and his face grew redder, when he pulled his hand out of the book and again placed it on top of the page Taehyung was reading.

"We could continue this until the sun comes up." Taehyung pressed his tongue against his cheek to suppress a smile as they repeated the action several times, "Maybe if you sat down, you'd even fall asleep."

"I would sit down if you weren't sitting on my bed." Jungkook grumbled, pulling his arm away from Taehyung's book to cross his arms over his chest- the action making his muscles flex and pop out.

Taehyung released a deep sigh through his nose before he shut the book and threw it into the corner of the room. He stood up from Jungkook's bed and stretched his arms over his head with a yawn.

Jungkook quickly pushed him away from the bed before jumping into it, allowing his crutch to fall to the ground. He laid down on his back, glaring up at Taehyung as he extended his limbs as much as he could- trying to stop Taehyung from even trying to sit down on his bed.

"You know, if you get up again, imma just come back." Taehyung sent him a wink before bending down and blowing out the candle, leaving them both in darkness.

The sound of Taehyung climbing up the stairs to the second bunk, filled the air, followed by the sound of the bed creaking as he laid down. The room wasn't completely silent as Taehyung laid in his bed staring at the wall. His eyes begged him to go to sleep, but Taehyung refused, knowing what waited for him when he closed his eyes.

The silence only lasted a few more seconds before it was destroyed by a quiet murmur coming from the bunkbed underneath his,

"Fuck you."

Taehyung's lips twitched up into a genuine smile before he chuckled under his breath and whispered back, "Good night, Jungkook."
