The past couple of days were confusing to Jungkook, so confusing that his perceived reality began to mix together with his imagination. He had been seeing Marley for a few days now- sometimes it was just a glimpse but other times he thought that he could reach out his hand and touch her. But he never dared.

Jungkook could occasionally hear her breathy giggles echoing in his mind like a soft breeze. But every time he saw her, every time he heard her, his reality began to smudge together and Jungkook created himself a new reality. A reality where Marley wasn't dead, but rather alive- breathing, smiling. But there were moments when his imagination failed him and the harsh reality crashed down on him, shattering the image of Marley being alive.

Jungkook couldn't take it anymore, the confusion and grief ate at him from the inside, leaving behind nothing but desperation. Jungkook was willing to do everything to prove to himself and his mind, that one of the realities was real, while the other, was nothing more than his own imagination. Maybe that's why Jungkook was here right now- standing next to the rumbling car, staring through the fence at the field.

"Lets go back inside, Jungkook. We can talk, okay?"

Jungkook's crazed eyes snapped away from the walker filled field and he looked at Taehyung. The older man was sitting in the driver's seat, his hands hanging loosely across the steering wheel, while his back was slouched against the car seat. Taehyung's face was soft and his eyes showed nothing but kindness as he smiled back at Jungkook, trying to ease the tension between them.

The light from the headlights jumped on the side of Jungkook's face, illuminating his wide eyes and the small tear that slipped down his cheek, "I can't." He breathed out, eyes trailing down to his shaking hand and the gun grasped between his fingers. Jungkook swallowed down the lump in his throat and shook his head, "I can't." He repeated, lowering the gun to march over to the car and slam the door shut.

Jungkook's breathing was heavy as he stood next to the car for a few moments, staring at the starry sky with blank eyes. He was so so confused, but Jungkook knew what he had to do, he knew that this was the only way. So Jungkook stepped away from the car and tapped his fingers against Taehyung's window, indicating for him to drive.

Taehyung's hands loosened around the steering wheel and his shoulders dropped as he stared back at Jungkook, not moving. Jungkook's face hardened before he raised his gun, pressing the tip against the window and making sure that Taehyung saw his finger hovering above the trigger.

Exhaling sharply, Taehyung pressed down on the gas pedal and drove towards the gate, stopping right in front of it. Jungkook was quick to shove his gun away and run over to the gate, grabbing onto it before looking back at Taehyung. The pair made eye contact before Taehyung gave him a nod, making Jungkook pull the gate open.

The car drove through the gate, stopping right next to it. Jungkook quickly slipped through the gate, shutting it behind himself tightly before running towards the car. He noticed that the walkers had turned their attention towards them and were now shuffling over to them. He was quick to throw the door open and jump inside, releasing a breath of relief when he was surrounded by the safety of the car.

Jungkook turned to look at Taehyung, eyeing him as he continued to stare through the front window- his face blank as he tapped his fingers against the steering wheel. Jungkook swallowed thickly, hand slipping down to his gun before he pulled it out and shoved it in Taehyung direction.

"Drive." Jungkook hissed lowly, the darkness engulfing them as the light above their heads turned off. Taehyung's eyes momentarily flickered over to him, his lips tugging up into a smirk before he shook his head with a sigh and began to drive.

"Where are we going, sweetheart?" Taehyung mused, his voice completely calm and expression the one of ease. His hands effortlessly slid across the wheel, turning it as he drove through the field until they reached the road.

Jungkook's eyes occasionally flickered over the road, but mainly stayed focused on Taehyung. Jungkook had seen a few movies where a person kidnaps someone, so he was making sure that the gun was pointing at Taehyung, along with his eyes.

"Somewhere." Jungkook mumbled under his breath, not blinking or looking away from the side of Taehyung's face.

Taehyung nodded slowly, sinking his teeth into his bottom lip before clearing his throat, "I have nothing against driving around randomly until the sun comes up, but I don't think this was your plan when waking me up from my sweet slumber. So unless you have a way of making me read thoughts, you should open those pretty lips and speak." Taehyung said to the bunny boy- hands gripping the steering wheel and eyes not leaving the road ahead.

Jungkook pursued his lips, his eyes becoming hazy as he pondered over Taehyung's words. Jungkook quickly came to a sad realisation that Taehyung was right, unfortunately for Taehyung to know where to drive, Jungkook had to speak to him.

"Fine." The bunny boy grumbled, his gun lowering and gaze shifting away from Taehyung to look at the empty road, "Take me to the place wh-"

It all happened so suddenly, Taehyung's leg slammed against the stop pedal, making Jungkook yelp and slam into the dashboard. Taehyung's hands left the steering wheel and he quickly grabbed Jungkook, only for the boy to snarl and twist his body away from Taehyung.

Jungkook's back was pressed against the side of the door, while Taehyung leaned over the cup holder- one hand pressed against the dashboard to keep himself up, while the other reached out to grab the gun out of Jungkook's hands. Jungkook hissed like a little snake, stretching his arm away so that Taehyung wouldn't get the gun, while pressing his other one against Taehyung's forehead to push him away.

The two boys continued struggling against each other, hands and legs flying and slamming into each other's bodies and against the car, surely leaving behind bruises. Grunts and hisses filled the air, mixing together with the rumble of the car. From the outside, the car was shaking from side to side- squeaking from all the movement. Unfortunately the noise and movement attracted the attention of the walkers roaming the forest.

"Stop it! Fuck off!" Jungkook shouted, trying to push away Taehyung, who had pulled him across the seats just so he could get closer to the dangerous weapon hanging loosely between Jungkook's fingers. Jungkook released a groan of frustration, raising his leg and slamming it into Taehyung's crotch.

"Shit." Taehyung immediately hunched over Jungkook's body- his eyes squeezing shut and face scrunching up into a grimace as ripples of pain shook his body, "You little brat." He groaned, only to feel something cold press against his forehead.

Taehyung grunted, peeling his eyes open to look down at Jungkook. He completely avoided the gun pressed against his head and, instead, he smirked, "You know, I like this position." Taehyung purred to a glaring, panting Jungkook, leaning down towards him, making the gun dig deeper into his forehead, "You..." he whispered huskily, tongue gliding across his bottom lip and hands placing on either side of Jungkook's head, "Underneath m-"

"Finish that sentence and I'll pull the trigger." Jungkook threatened, much to Taehyung's amusement.

The two continued to stare at each other, not breaking eye contact or looking away. From the sidelines, their position would look rather....questionable. Jungkook was laying across the two front seats- his head and back pressed against his seat, the small of his back dug into the cup holder, while his legs were spread across the driver's seat. Taehyung, on the other hand, was hovering above Jungkook- his hands on either side of Jungkook's waist and body in between his legs.

Taehyung pressed his tongue against the roof of his mouth and clicked his tongue, smirking down at a fuming Jungkook, "If you would just put the gun in the backseat, I could take you on a little field trip."

"You think I believe that?" Jungkook gritted his teeth, pushing off of the seat and sneered into Taehyung's face, his eyes ran over his sharp features, before scoffing and dropping back down against the seat, "Why can't you just shut-"

Taehyung's hand shot out again and he grabbed Jungkook's wrist, pushing the gun away from his forehead. A yelp fell past Jungkook's lips at the sudden action, followed by the sound of a gunshot as his finger accidentally pressed down on the trigger.

The bullet shot through the passenger side window, shattering the glass to pieces. Taehyung quickly shielded Jungkook with his body as the glass sprinkled over them, coating the front seat into millions of tiny glass shards.

Jungkook's ears were ringing and his skull felt like it was being crushed by a hydraulic press. He allowed the gun to slip out of his hand and fall onto the seat as he pressed his hands against his aching ears. A small whine bubbled up in his throat and he squeezed his eyes shut, wincing at the pain. It was no secret that Jungkook was sensitive to loud sounds, so when a gun fired right next to his ear, it was bound to bring pain.

Taehyung, too, felt a bit dazed from the loud noise coming from the gun. His movements were a bit sluggish and his vision a bit dazed as he pushed away from Jungkook to sit up straighter. He brushed the glass off of his back before grabbing the gun, laying next to Jungkook, and chucking it into the backseat.

"Jesus Christ." Taehyung grumbled- not fully hearing his voice since the ringing in his ears didn't stop. He leaned against the steering wheel and pressed his hand against his forehead, rubbing his head.

Jungkook peeled his eyes open, momentarily eying Taehyung before pressing his hands against the seat and dragging himself into his own seat. He pushed the glass off of the seat with the sleeve of his shirt before plopping into it.

Both boys didn't say or do anything, only stared at the dark road ahead and listened to the rumble of the car. Jungkook was fiddling with his fingers as he slouched into the seat, a bit ashamed of how he had fired a gun so carelessly. Taehyung, on the other hand, fully wrapped his mind around what had happened, and had the sudden urge to laugh about the absurd situation. He couldn't believe that he had fought Jungkook like a little boy fighting over a toy.

A walker slammed against the side of the car, snapping both boys out of their dazed state. They turned their heads around to look at Taehyung's window, only to see the walker growl and slam it's hands against the window. Fresh blood dripped down its chin, and it's bloody hands smeared the red liquid onto Taehyung's window.

A deep sigh filled the air before Taehyung pressed down on the gas pedal and began to drive forward, making the walker snarl and stumble to the ground. Jungkook looked in the review mirror, watching as the walker pushed off of the ground and began to stumbled after them.

"So..." Taehyung cleared his throat, placing one hand on the steering wheel, while resting his other one agaisnt the window, "...Where did you want to go?"

Jungkook's eyes snapped over to Taehyung, surprise evident in his features as he stared at the older Male. He was shocked that Taehyung wasn't pissed off about the whole situation and didn't take him back to the prison to get scolded by Rick and Daryl. Relief washed over him as he watched the calm expression mix together with a hint of amusement before Taehyung looked back at him, sending him a small smile.

Jungkook gulped and quickly looked away, playing with his sleeves as he murmured something under his breath.

Taehyung furrowed his brows, eyeing him for a second before looking back at the road, "I didn't hear you, speak louder." He said, carefully swerving around the walker in the middle of the road.

Jungkook sucked in a deep breath, chewing on his bottom lip before uttering the words that nearly caused Taehyung to turn back around,

"Take me to the place you burried Marley."

Taehyung has done a lot of dumb things in his life- his teenage self wanting to deal with his PTSD by distracting his mind. Drugs, alcohol and cigarettes used to be his best friends and the only way for him to actually forget about everything that has happened to him.

To Taehyung, it was refreshing to lose himself in his addictions and not think about anything. Most of the time, he never remembered what he had done while doing drugs or getting shit-faced, but he found out after seeing the videos or dealing with the consequences of his actions. Yet no matter how much shit Taehyung's done, trudging through a forest in the middle of the night, with shovels in his hands, was the most absurd thing Taehyung has done.

But in the end, Taehyung knew that no matter what they'd do or see today, he'll be okay. It would just be another messed up thing to add to his messed up self. Taehyung was more worried about the boy walking next to him, knowing that what they would do, would traumatise him.

"We can still turn back." Taehyung murmured quietly, his voice perfectly hearable in the midst of the dark, silent forest.

Jungkook gulped and shook his head, shinning the flashlight straight ahead, "Don't back out, we have to do this." He whispered into the darkness, eyes flickering to the trees around them in case something jumped out.

"No, we really don't." Taehyung cringed, his nose scrunching up at the thought of doing what they were about to do, "I don't think you really comprehend the reality of what we're about to do."

Jungkook scoffed and spun around, grabbing Taehyung's arm and spinning him around to face him. The bunny buy glared at the slightly taller Male- his lips pressed into a thin line and brows drawn together. Taehyung rose a brow, eyes flickering down to Jungkook's hand on his arm before returning to look into his eyes.

"You want out? Fine, turn back and go back at the prison." Jungkook spat at Taehyung, taking a step forward until they were chest to chest and their faces were inches apart. Jungkook's lips curled into a snarl as he hissed quietly, making sure to not break eye contact with Taehyung, "But I'm doing this, wether you like it or not." Jungkook scoffed and pushed past Taehyung, making sure to bump their shoulders together.

"Fucking hell." Taehyung shut his eyes, tilting his head back to allow the moonlight to shine down on his exposed throat. Taehyung ran a hand over his face before looking down at the shovel grasped between his fingers, "Little brat." He grumbled, whirling around on his heel and following after the younger boy.

Jungkook spared him a small glance, when he appeared next to him, before turning his chin upward and turning away with a small hmpth. Taehyung rolled his eyes at him, yet didn't say anything as he analysed their surroundings and continued to lead them forward.

After a few more minutes of walking, Taehyung slowly recognised the area. His heart began to pound in his chest and his anxiety increased as he pushed past the bushes in front of him and stepped into a secluded part of the forest. Jungkook followed after him, his hands sweaty and trembling as they gripped the flashlight tighter.

The area was surrounded by thick bushes and trees, yet the inside was completely bare of any plants. In the middle of the empty area, there was a patch of uneven dirt with a makeshift cross placed at the end of it. Resting against the cross, were wilted flowers- small and white.

Jungkook inhaled sharply, blinking back tears as he stepped forward, eyeing the grave. He ran his tongue over his bottom lip before capturing it between his bunny teeth. Jungkook swallowed thickly and looked away from the grave. He snapped his head towards Taehyung, who had been watching him carefully, and he raised the flashlight, shinning the light into Tae's eyes.

Taehyung winced and raised his hand, shielding his eyes from the blinding light. He opened his mouth to say something, but Jungkook had already lowered the flashlight, allowing Taehyung to lower his arm. Yet as he did, the view in front of him, made his face drop into a look of disbelief.

"Seriously?" Taehyung rolled his eyes with a scoff, placing his hands on his hips as he looked at the gun in Jungkook's hands, "I thought you got over this in the car."

"Dig." Jungkook gritted, cocking the gun and raising it higher.

Taehyung finally had enough, the calm expression on his face crumbled, only to be replaced by a dark glare. He grinded his teeth together- his hands curling into fists and his hair falling into face, casting shadows on his darkened features.

"Lower the gun." Taehyung commanded, his voice coming out as a deep rumble, contrasting against the tone he had previously used with Jungkook.

Jungkook's eyes went wide and his lips parted to release a breath of surprise. He was shocked and scared at the sudden change in Taehyung's demeanour, not expecting his kind facade to crumble so suddenly. Was he wrong to pull a gun on him? Should he put the gun down? Jungkook wondered in his mind, only to realise that Taehyung was intimidating him with his cold appearance.

"No." Jungkook quickly spat, allowing his flashlight to drop to the ground to grip the gun with both hands.

"No?" Taehyung mused, head tilting to the side, allowing strands of raven hair to fall in front of his ebony eyes. A devilish smirk lit up his face before Taehyung threw his head back and released a deep laugh that made Jungkook's skin crawl, "How cute." He whispered before taking a few large steps towards a startled Jungkook.

Everything happened so quickly, Taehyung was in front of him in mere seconds and his hand shot out, ripping the gun out of Jungkook's trembling fingers and throwing it away. A gasp tumbled past Jungkook's parted lips as his eyes followed the gun before snapping up to a glaring Taehyung.

"Point your gun at me again...." Taehyung sneered, leaning down towards a wide eyed Jungkook. His breath brushed against the tip of Jungkook's nose and the tips of his fingers ran over his sharp jawline, "....and I'll make sure you won't ever touch a gun again." He whispered huskily, hands focusing on the way his fingers slid over Jungkook's jawline.

Jungkook finally snapped out of his state of shock, immediately slapping Taehyung's hand away and taking a step away from him, "Asshole." He gritted through a pout, brushing past him to go grab his shovel.

Taehyung released a deep breath through his nose and tilted his head back, giving the sky an annoyed look. He ran his hand over his face before turning around to face Jungkook.

The bunny boy was holding the shovel tightly between his trembling hands, staring down at the grave with wide eyes. Taehyung huffed and marched towards him, taking the shovel out of his hands before nudging him away.

"Sit down." Tae mumbled softly, turning around to face the grave. He raised the shovel and slammed it into the ground before twisting it and pulling it back out.

Jungkook took a step back- a frown on his face and his eyes slightly wide as he watched Taehyung shovel without breaking a sweat. Jungkook pressed his tongue against his cheek and went over to grab the other shovel before joining Taehyung and mimicking his actions. Taehyung spared him a small glance, but didn't say anything as they dug a hole into the ground.

The two boys continued to dig into the ground, creating a large hole in the middle of the grave and a small pile of dirt next to it. Their skin was covered in sweat, causing their shirts to stick to their musclar chest and toned stomaches. The air was filled with occasional grunts, but mainly the sound of the metal shoved slamming into the dirt and the sound of dirt falling onto the ground.

Taehyung stopped digging for a second and wiped away the sweat resting between his brows, realising that they were about to reach their target, "Hey." Taehyung murmured to Jungkook, who was restless as he dug and dug.

Seeing that Jungkook ignored him, Taehyung reached out and wrapped his hand around Jungkook's wrist, only for the boy to go wide eyed and freeze. Taehyung grew confused by the sudden change in Jungkook until he looked to where he was looking, and saw a small hand coming out of the dirt.

Jungkook quickly dropped the shovel and dropped to his knees, brushing the dirt away with his hands instead. He ignored Taehyung's voice and pushed him away, when he tried to grab him, and, instead, brushed the dirt away until it revealed a bloody pink sweater.

"Oh god." Jungkook whispered, his voice cracking and hands shaking as he crawled over the body and reached the small nose peaking out of the dirt.

Jungkook was gentle as he brushed the dirt away from Marley's face until he could clearly see her. Jungkook jerked back in surprise, sitting down on the heel of his boots as he stared down at the face below him. The image in front of him burned into his mind, appearing every time he blinked or looked away.

Marley's body was covered with dirt, tainting her pale skin an ashy brown. Her face was slack and her eyes were shut, giving Jungkook the impression that she was sleeping. Well, if it wasn't for the hole in her forehead, or the way patches of her skin came off, revealing the bone underneath. Jungkook nearly gagged as the smell of decay hit his nose, and when he saw a small worm wiggling against her chest.

The realisation crashed down on him once again, this time, shattering his imagination for good and replacing it with the horrific images of Marley's dead body. A choked sob left Jungkook's lips before he pressed his hands against his face and curled into himself, not knowing what to do or how to express the pain and grief he felt inside.

"Shhh, I got you." A deep voice whispered in his ears before hands grabbed him by his armpits and hoisted him up to his wobbling legs. Jungkook stumbled to the side, only for Taehyung to catch him and steady him on his feet, "Lets go, I'll take care of it."  Taehyung guided him away from the grave and back towards the car, keeping his hand locked around Jungkook's small waist.

Kook squeezed his eyes shut and shook his head, biting his lip so hard that it drew blood. Tears rolled down his cheeks and occasional sniffles left him as he dragged his feet after Taehyung, grabbing a fistful of his shirt to keep up with him.

Taehyung's face remained emotionless and he didn't look down at Jungkook as he guided him to the car parked on the side of the road. He unlocked the car and nudged Jungkook over to his door, unwrapping his arm from Jungkook's waist and pulling the door open for him.

Jungkook didn't say anything, except release a sniffle, as he slid inside the car and stared down at his dirt covered hands.

Taehyung leaned against the car, tapping his fingers against the roof of it before clearing his throat and looking down at a silent Jungkook, "Stay here, I'll be right back." Taehyung murmured softly, not daring to comfort Jungkook or say anything else to him since they weren't that close.

Jungkook gave him a small nod and pulled his legs on top of the seat, wrapping his arms around them. Taehyung nodded back at him before shutting the door and turning around to face the forest.

"Fuck me." Taehyung grumbled with a wince, walking back into the forest to burry Marley yet again.

Puffy, red-rimmed eyes stared out of the window of the car, observing the way the morning sun peeked through the trees. Jungkook's knees were pulled up to his chest and his cheek was pressed against his knees. Dry tear marks were left on his pale cheeks before he raised his hand to wipe them away with the sleeve of his shirt.

"Michonne and Rick are going on a run today." Taehyung spoke up, breaking the tension filled silence in the car. His eyes were glued on the road and his dirt covered fingers loosely wrapped around the bottom of the steering wheel.

Jungkook raised his head and turned it around to look at Taehyung, "And?" He mumbled with furrowed eyebrows, not understanding why he was saying this.

"We could go on a run too." Taehyung's lips twitched up into a small smile before he smiled wider and reached out to pull open the dashboard, "Find a music disc, sweetheart."

Jungkook rolled his eyes at the nickname, but dug his hands into the dashboard neverthelessly, "Who says I want to go anywhere with you?" He grumbled as he pushed away all the papers and sunglasses until he found a few CD's.

"You literally woke me up in the middle of the night and shoved a gun in my face." Taehyung snorted, glancing at Jungkook to see him reading the back of two CD's.

Taehyung quickly took one of them, his face lighting up when he saw the artists, "BTS, Huh? The owner of this car has quite the taste, shame that he's dead." Taehyung snickered as he took the disc out with one hand, while keeping his other one on the wheel.

"You're an ass." Jungkook grumbled, much to Taehyung's amusement, taking the disc from him and inserting it into the correct slot. He pressed a few random buttons before soft music filled the air, followed by a breathy voice, "And your music taste is trash." Jungkook scoffed, earning himself a husky chuckle.
