Quinn
Quinn scrolled through his Instagram feed, and all he could see was pictures of him and Lauren, or of Lauren at his game.
He read the captions, some of which he laughed at because they were so far fetched. But as he scrolled, he saw photos of Lauren with one of her co-stars, Ben, looking awfully close.
Quinn knew he didn't have the right to feel jealous, but he couldn't help it.
Brock looked over from his spot on Quinn's couch, and noticed the very obvious expression.
"What's got you looking like that lover boy." Brock teased, to which Quinn shook his head.
"It's nothing, just me being jealous over something that's not mine." Quinn scrolled off the picture, but he couldn't not see it.
"Yet." Brock teased again, and Quinn whipped a pillow at him.
Quinn knew that if Lauren were to be involved with her co-star, that she would've said something to him, right? Quinn thought they had gotten quite close but maybe he was wrong.
"Okay buddy, put your phone down." Brock asked, to which Quinn obliged. "Looking at all the pictures isn't going to give you answers."
"I know." Quinn said as he stood up and walked towards his kitchen. "I just, she would've told me about Ben and if there's something going on there right?"
"Quinn, she would've and if she hasn't that, means there's nothing other than co-stars trying to get comfortable with each other."
"Yeah, you're right." Quinn opened his fridge, taking out two drinks, and walking back to the couch.
"Now would you like to play some games to take your mind off of it for a bit?" Brock smirked, holding up the controller. Quinn smirked as well, taking the controller from him and turning the console on.
But Lauren was always on his mind, and even though he knew he had no right, he knew he wouldn't feel better until he asked her about Ben.
Laurens first phone call came while he was in the shower, and he didn't hear it. When he got out and changed into what he called his lazy boy clothes, he checked his phone and saw her missed call.
He quickly called her back, it ringing a few times before she answered.
"I thought maybe you were ignoring me." Lauren joked, but Quinn responded seriously.
"No no, I would never. I'm sorry I was in the shower."
"Ohh I see that." She smiled, eyeing his wet hair.
"So, how was filming today?"
Lauren sighed, and then laughed slightly.
"It was good, just exhausting. I swear every take I had with Ben, we had to do over and over agin because the director didn't believe we were being real."
"Ahh I see." Quinn nodded, opening one of the cupboard and grabbing a snack.
"Yeah, so the director has had me and Ben hanging out like all the time to try and make it more believable."
"Is that where they got the one picture of you two?" Quinn asked, knowing this would be the only chance he'd have.
"Oh yeah, we even saw them take it. Another thing the social media team wants is more pictures of the cast members together and well evidently that didn't go as they planned."
"So there's nothing going on?" Quinn half mumbled but Lauren understood.
"He's actually got a girlfriend that he's been keeping on the downlow so." Lauren started, and Quinn nodded, trying to hide his face from the camera for a moment while he smiled with joy.
"Ahh I see, that's good for him." Quinn replied, and Lauren smiled. Quinn looked at her, and wished that he wasn't speaking to her through his phone.
He wanted her here beside him, sharing the blanket and watching 'How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days'. Maybe this time she wouldn't fall asleep halfway through.
"So did you and Brock have a fun playdate." Lauren teased, and Quinn chuckled. Of course he'd never tell her what they talked about, even though he wanted to slightly.
"We did nothing but play games. It was honestly so relaxing. I really do not want to play a game tomorrow." Quinn sighed, and then looked at the camera.
"Well I know that's not true." Lauren teased, and Quinn smiled. "I might actually be able to come watch again, the whole main cast is supposed to be going to a game this season to just be seen in public together or something, and they are talking about tomorrow."
"Ooh, so basically what you're saying is I need to score a few to impress them." He joked, and Lauren giggled.
"I think the only one that you need wot worry about impressing is me, but you've got that down already." Lauren flirted, and Quinn cheeks went hot.
"Maybe a few more, just to be on the safe side." He flirted back.
Quinn and Lauren stayed on the phone well into the night. He loved when they did that. It made him so relaxed before bed that as soon as the call ended, he could fall asleep. It was almost like a nightly routine, and that was the final box to be checked off.
When Quinn got to the arena, Brock caught up with him in the hallway.
"So did you ask her about it?" Brock asked, making sure to be quiet.
"Yeah, I have nothing to worry about. But I don't know how much longer I can keep my feelings to myself." Quinn smiled at his best friend, who smiled happily back at him.
'Soon', he told himself, he would tell her soon that he had feelings for the girl who slid into his DMs.
He picked up his phone again, and searched Lauren's Instagram. When he finally found what he wanted, he smiled and hatched a plan.
