Lauren

Lauren bit her lip nervously as her plane touched down in Vancouver. She was actually here, and in a few short hours, she would have her first table read in person with all the other actors for Virgin River.

She was also very nervous because Quinn told her that he wanted to take her out tomorrow on his day off. When she checked her filming schedule, she prayed that she would be busy. She wasn't sure that she was ready to meet him in person. It was easy talking over the phone, and she liked it that way.

But now, here she was. In the same city as him. And that thought gave her butterflies and made her want to puke at the same time.

The show had sent a van to the airport for anyone arriving at or before 9:00am and then again later in the day. Lauren's flight landed at 8:30am so she'd be on the first trip out to set before they took her back to the hotel they had rented out for the actors.

As Lauren sat and looked out the window while some of the other actors and crew made their way into the van, she couldn't help but wonder how all of this would go over.

She knew that becoming a pretty big character when the show already has a few seasons, will most likely mean her character will get a lot of negative feedback, hopefully just at first.

She knew she had gained some followers ever since the article came out that she was joining the cast. And she had a lot of positive feedback on there from those who have followed her from her early days of acting and vlogging.

When the van came to a stop, Lauren panicked. She was here, it was real and she couldn't back down now. She stood up from her seat, letting those in front of her get out first before she walked down the aisle and got out herself.

"Lauren?" A woman asked, coming towards her as she set foot onto the ground.

"Yeah, hi that's me." Lauren spoke sheepishly, now aware (again) of everything that's happening.

"I'm Isabelle, come this way, I need to get started on fittings." The woman wrapped her arm around Lauren and ushered her away.

Lauren had forgotten that at a later point in the season, she was to be pregnant with Brady's child. She wondered what she would look like with a fake belly, as this would be her first time ever having to wear one.

Her mind immediately went to Quinn, and she thought about what he would think about seeing her wear one later on when they got to filming those scenes. She felt childish that during all of this, she was thinking of Quinn, but thinking about seeing him and meeting him in person actually relieved her anxiety.

When they got to the trailer, she came face to face with Alexandra Breckinridge, aka Mel.

"Oh my Lauren! It's so nice to finally meet you!!" Mel wrapped Lauren in a hug and Lauren was fangirling so hard. 'She knows my name!'

"You do not know how excited I am to film with you. Film with everybody. I feel like an outcast." Lauren joked when they both stepped away, out of the hug.

"Don't be silly. Give it a few days and you'll fit in so perfectly it'll be like you've been here for forever." Alex said, giving Lauren a warm smile. "I have to get going, but I'm here if you need anything Lauren. I mean that!"

Lauren nodded and Alex walked off towards her own trailer. Lauren walked up the steps, finding Isabelle inside.

"Sorry." Lauren apologized but Isabelle waved her off.

"When I first started working here, I stopped everybody at least twice to speak with them. You get used to it." Isabelle winked and then walked into a closet.

The table read went smoothly, and Lauren got to know everyone a little more. After it was over, and everyone was getting ready to leave, Ben came up to her.

"How are you liking everything so far?" He spoke, causing Lauren to turn and look at him.

"I'm still in shock that I'm here. I feel like any minute a security guard is going to come and escort me out." She joked, earning a laugh from him.

"That's how I felt too. In no time you'll feel like you actually belong here. All of the cast is super friendly and will definitely make you feel welcome." He put a hand on her shoulder for a moment, and then took it off after a few beats.

"Thanks Ben." Lauren smiled genuinely, thankful to have at least one person she could talk to, other than Alexandra.

"Of course Lauren. Has anybody went over anything on this set with you?"

When Lauren got back to her hotel room later that night, she was exhausted. Ben and her spent over an hour walking around, looking at the different sets.

Lauren had been on many sets before for her other shows, but this one was different. She felt like she knew them like the back of her hand because of how religiously she watched the show.

She walked into the bathroom, and started to do her skincare routine when her phone began buzzing. She looked over at it and saw that it was the group-chat (minus Ryleigh as it was 1am where she lived) calling her. She let it ring once more while she dried her one hand and then accepted the call.

"Hey girls." Lauren spoke out, and then bent down to wash off the cleanser.

"Okay Lauren you have to tell us how the set is!" Sylvia spoke, flopping down onto her bed, propping her phone up on her pillows.

"Yes, is it everything you ever dreamed of?" Tamara wiggled her eyebrows, and Lauren looked dead into the camera, and then laughed.

"Ben showed me around and oh my god, I just still can't believe that I'm here. I feel like I'm dreaming." Lauren explained, and her friends listened.

"Well it's real Laur. Everything you've ever wanted is coming true. Can I have some of that magic vision board dust that you used?" Sylvia joked and smiled. Lauren smiled back at her and applied her moisturizer.

"You're hanging out with Quinn tomorrow right?" Tamara asked, setting her phone down on the counter and grabbing a glass out of her cupboard.

"Yes and I'm literally shitting bricks, I'm so nervous." Lauren said, finishing up her skin care. She grabbed her phone and walked out of the bathroom to the desk, setting her phone down against the wall and sitting in the chair.

"You will be fine Lauren, I bet you will forget about all the nervousness as soon as you see him." Sylvia spoke in a matter of fact tone, grinning ear to ear.

"I hope so."

The next chapter with Lauren and Quinn is going to be so cute and wholesome.
