Writings are failing

Where are you taking me?

I'm deeper into caverns

And facing all my monsters

Something's looming in the dark

I'm back asleep but waking up

My nightmare's time is almost done

Wish for dreams but they all flee

Laying here, counting endless sheep

I know my mind's protecting me

But when can I sleep?

I lay awake and my days

Fading faster helplessly

Mind tortures body, heart, and soul

Down the drain these hours go
