Late Night.

"I wouldn't try to think about it too much, it's all talk," Namjoon told Jimin. Jimin was sulking in his bed after coming across a lot of hate on Twitter.

"I don't understand. Did I do something wrong ?" Jimin asked. He was fighting back tears. This was the fourth night in a row he'd found himself coming across derogatory and threatening tweets towards him. At first he did ignore them because they were simple things he was used to seeing, like anti's calling him gay or ugly. But he noticed that some were popping up that were a bit more concerning, such as death threats.

"Of course you didn't do anything wrong, people are just jerks. Especially when they can hide online," Namjoon told him. He felt terrible that Jimin was so down about it. They all felt terrible. They had all been the target of rumors and hate online, but it wasn't ever this bad for them. Jimin seemed to be getting the worst of it.

"What if someone actually tries to kill me?" Jimin pouted.

"They won't. You know none of us would ever let that happen. We will also up the security we have if that makes you feel any better," Namjoon replied.

Jimin shrugged, "I'm sorry but it doesn't."

Hobi suddenly came in the room to check on them. "How are you doing?" he asked Jimin. Jimin just shrugged, "Stressed out, I guess."

Hobi pouted, he hated seeing such a loving and caring soul have to deal with so much random hate. He went over and gave Jimin a tight hug, "It'll be alright. Things will calm down. They always do."

The rest of the members also made their way into his room and asked how he was. He gave them the same answer he gave Hobi, and they gave him the same answer that Hobi had given.

"I'd like to just sleep for now," Jimin said. The members hugged him again before departing. As much as they wanted to be there for him they knew when he was super stressed out he also enjoyed his alone time. They could tell he was mentally exhausted.

Jimin lay in bed trying to fall asleep but couldn't. He tossed and turned while replaying many of the tweets he saw in his head. Eventually he gave up trying to sleep, there was too much on his mind. It had already been a few hours and the rest of his members had gone to bed. He realized he really just needed to clear his mind and maybe some fresh air would help.

He grabbed his jacket and shoes and snuck out in the middle of the night. The night was quiet as the city was asleep. Their dorm wasn't too far from a nearby park, a park he often went to with his members when they had downtime. He decided he'd go walk around the sidewalks there for a bit. It was a beautiful night out and the quiet-ness was nice.

When he made it to the park, it was empty. He expected as much, although every now and then there would be some unruly teenagers hanging out at the park at late hours, but they had never bothered him. Every now and then one might give a small wave and be on their way. Jimin loved that about Seoul, the people he met were always friendly. Which is why he didn't think twice about walking alone through the park at night.

The park had various sidewalks that led in different directions that were lit up by a couple street lamps every few feet. The park itself was dark but the street lights lip up the path he was walking. He thought more about what his members had told him about not worrying too much. It was true that they'd all been through this thing before and eventually it did go away, but he couldn't help be feel alone and sad. He always tried his best to be a loving and likeable person, sometimes maybe he even tried too hard, so he didn't understand why people he didn't know were saying such cruel things. They don't really know me.

He found some small rocks on the ground that he started kicking ahead of him as we walked with his hands in his pockets. As he kept walking he saw two men walking towards his direction on the sidewalk. It didn't phase him much as he knew other people liked late night strolls too, but he wanted to stay low-key anyway. As they got closer he realized the two men had put ski masks on. He thought that was a bit strange. He gulped. Just look at the ground while you pass eachother. Just mind your own business and they won't bother you.

As they passed, he held his breath. Thankfully they passed him without saying anything. He let out a sigh of relief when suddenly he felt someone behind him grab his arm. He turned around and it was the same two men in the ski masks.

Jimin pulled out of the mans grip, "Can I help you?" Jimin asked nervously. He felt anxiety kick in and his forehead start to sweat as his heart started thudding against his rib cage.

"Well what do we have goin on here?" The man who had grabbed him said.

"Just out walking," Jimin gulped.

"All alone?"

Jimin nervously looked around. He nodded.

"Hey wait a minute," the other man said, "Isn't this that pretty boy from that band?"

It was at that moment Jimin started to panic. It meant they knew who he was, and with everything going on online right now that scared the hell out of him.

"Hey yeah, it is!" The man took a step towards Jimin, "Boys like you shouldn't be out here alone like this."

Jimin took a step back but the man grabbed his arm again. He tried to back away but couldn't, "Let go of me. What do you want?"

The two of them started laughing as one circled around behind him. Jimin watched him nervously while still trying to escape the first guys grip.

"I was just heading home. Please leave me alone." Jimin realized his own voice sounded small and pitiful. He really wished he had just stayed home in the safety and comfort of his own bed. The man behind him pushed him harshly forward and he stumbled to the ground. He felt the tears begin to well up in his eyes.

"I really don't know what you want. Please leave me alone! Is it money?! Do you want money?! Or um...here you can take this!" Jimin started taking off his rather expensive watch and offered it to them. He was willing to do anything at this point to just have these two men leave him alone.

One of them took the watch and pocketed it, but then immediately kicked Jimin in the ribs.

"Ahh!" Jimin cried as he curled up into a ball. The kick had hurt more than he expected it to. He took a few gasps of air as it had knocked the wind out of him. The man who kicked him grabbed him by the collar of his jacket and pulled him back up to his feet.

"Don't do this," Jimin begged through tears. His entire body was on fire with fear.

"Or what? Huh?" the man looked around, "Doesn't look like you have any of your little mates around to help you out. Now does it?"

"I didn't do anything t-to you," Jimin cried. The man punched him in the face so hard he fell backwards onto the ground.

"Hell if I care," the man replied, "Always good to have a little fun once in a while. Wouldn't you say?" the man asked while gesturing to his accomplice. They both started chuckling.

Jimin tried to stand up and run but was immediately grabbed and punched in the face again and he dropped back down. He started begging them to stop and leave him alone, but they didn't listen. They made sure he couldn't get off the ground and started to repeatedly kick him in the ribs and face. He cried out for help but there was nobody around to hear him.

Jimin tried to fight back but he was running out of energy. At one point one of the men pinned him to the ground while sitting on top of him.

"S-stop," Jimin huffed out while struggling to breathe.

"What you gonna do about it, pretty boy? Although once we ruin that face of yours, I'm sure you'll be given other nicknames."

"P-please," Jimin sobbed. He was absolutely terrified. He tried hitting and clawing at the man sitting on him but the man kept pinning his arms back down while the other one would kick him. He started coughing violently. The man then began to choke him and he realized he might actually die like this, and his heart broke over and over again. He didn't want to die.

Tears spilled down his face as he struggled to breathe. The man stopped choking him and stood up and the two repeatedly kicked him in the ribs and stomach. He screamed out in agony when one kick sent a sharp pain through his chest as he heard something crack. He didn't have it in him to fight anymore. He was in too much pain and changed his mind, he'd rather be dead than feel like this. The men saw how he'd given up his fight and started laughing at him before turning and running away.

Jimin didn't understand. Aside from stealing his watch, he didn't know why they bothered to beat him up so badly. He hadn't done anything to them. Was it just for a thrill? He didn't know. Why me?

He lay there coughing and hyperventilating through tears while wincing with every harsh breath due to his now broken rib. He wasn't sure what to do. He didn't want to call the police. What was the point? The damage was done, and the two men were gone. They had ski masks on so he had no idea what they even looked like. The thought of calling the police made him too nervous. He didn't care to see or deal with a cop. He assumed it was a lost cause. However he did want someone he loved and cared about to just hold him and tell him he'd be okay. He was feeling desperate for that. He pulled his phone out of his pocket with a weak and shaky hand as he opened his texts. He decided to just call the first member in his recents.

It was Hobi.

He clicked his hyungs name and listened to the phone ring. And ring. And ring. He knew Hobi was asleep but also knew he left his sound on at night in case of an emergency. If he just kept calling, Hobi would eventually pick up. And after the third try, he did.

"Jimin?" Hobi said with a sleepy voice.

"H-hyung...." Jimin whispered into the phone. He was so weak he had dropped his phone onto the ground next to his face.

"Jimin? Where are you?" Hobi asked with growing concern.

"H-help.." Jimin whispered.

"Are you okay? What's wrong? Where are you?" Hobi asked again.

"P-park.."

"You're at the park? What the hell are you doing there in the middle of the night? What's going on, are you alright?" Hobi knew something was wrong. The way Jimin was talking was freaking him out.

"H-help me.." Jimin started groaning and whining and Hobi shot out of bed.

"Are you hurt?!" Hobi needed more details.

"Y-yes," Jimin groaned. He could hear Hobi shuffling around the house getting his jacket and shoes on.

"I'm on my way, I'm on my way. Okay Jiminie?" Hobi said in a panic. He stayed on the phone with him but Jimin wasn't talking and it was scaring at the hell out of him. Eventually Jimin's phone had hung up on him.

"Hello?! Jimin?! Hello?! No no no!" Hobi screamed to himself. He ran as fast as he could to the park and began searching everywhere for Jimin. He felt like he was going in circles when he couldn't find him anywhere. Until he saw a body laying in the middle of the sidewalk.

"Jimin?!" Hobi screamed and ran to him. He dropped down beside Jimin and burst into tears. His dongsaeng was crying and his face was bloody, he was clutching his ribs while curled up in a ball and his phone seemed to have died. He grabbed Jimin's face into his hands.

"Oh no.....what happened to you? Hyung is here, it's okay," Hobi said softly. He ran his thumbs over Jimin's cheeks to wipe his tears for him.

"H-help," Jimin cried.

"I will, I will. I will help you. Oh my God Jimin what the hell happened?! You'll be okay! I promise!" Hobi was freaking out and panicking just as much as Jimin at this point. This was the scariest thing he'd ever witnessed.

"I-I don't k-know," Jimin whispered. He didn't have the strength to say much. He wished he could just close his eyes and disappear far away from there.

"I'm calling an ambulance," Hobi said.

He pulled his phone out and called for one. Jimin had closed his eyes and wasn't replying. Hobi shook him a bit, "Hey! No No! You have to stay awake for me, yeah?!" Hobi cried. Jimin's eyes slanted open again and were still filled with tears. Hobi leaned over and held him in a soft hug. As much as Jimin wasn't responding, he still was extremely thankful that Hobi had come for him. Hobi held him and they continued to cry together until the ambulance got there. Paramedics got him into the ambulance and Hobi went in it with him. He sat by his side and held his hand as he was given IV's and medicines.

When they got to the hospital Jimin was carted off to the Emergency Room while Hobi had to wait in a waiting room. He was still panicking wondering who the hell would have done this to him and why. He thought of everything they'd seen online and wondered if it was people who had said certain things, or if this had been a random attack. Either way, he'd make sure someone paid for what they'd done.

He called Namjoon a couple of times before he had picked up and he frantically told his leader what had happened. Namjoon then began freaking out and ran around the house waking everyone up to tell them they needed to hurry to the hospital. When they got to the hospital they were all a mess of tears.

"Where is hyungie?! Is he okay?!" Jungkook cried.

"I don't know," Hobi cried back. He hadn't heard any news since he'd gotten there. They group hugged eachother as they cried.

"What the hell was he doing out there alone?!" Taehyung yelled, "Why would he do that?!"

"You know him, he kind of just does what he wants," Yoongi said while wiping his tears with his shirt sleeve. None of them understood why Jimin had left the house. Last they knew, he had went to bed well before any of them had.

A while later a doctor came in. The members rushed to him.

"Is he okay?!" Jin asked in a panic.

"He took quite a beating," The doctor said with sad eyes. The members hearts broke all over again. How could something like this have happened to their Jimin?

The doctor continued, "He had a broken rib and severe bruising, but luckily that is the worst of it. He will be alright given some time and a lot of rest."

The members let out a sigh of relief as they were escorted to his room. They ran to him. He was awake and had a bandage wrapped around his ribs. He had bruises poking out from under it and bruises on his face. Jin gently caressed his cheek, "Our poor Jimin.." he pouted.

Jimin completely broke down crying again. He reached his arms out for a hug and they all surrounded around him to hug him. He said he didn't know what happened. He'd just been walking and was attacked. He didn't understand why. He told them he was out to clear his head and didn't plan for a long walk, but didn't expect to be beaten up either.

Jin told him he's never allowed outside at night alone ever again. He made it a new rule that nobody was and that was final. They sat around him on the bed and talked for a bit.

"This is why it scares me. What if they were people who had said something online and actually did it?" Jimin pouted.

"I will call our manager in the morning. Nobody is getting away with this anymore," Hobi said firmly. The members felt terrible for Jimin. They'd promised him they'd never let him get hurt and they all felt like they had failed.

Taehyung scooted into Jimin's bed next to him and began to play with his hair. Jimin loved it when someone played with his hair, it felt nice and relaxing.

For the first time that night he finally felt like he could relax now that his members were surrounding him. He realized how safe he truly felt when they were all together. He felt so stupid for going out alone, especially at such a bad time. He told them he was feeling tired and turned in for the rest of the night. The rest of them gathered around in chairs and fell asleep. In the morning Hobi and Namjoon both contacted their manager and their company ended up releasing a statement that they would be taking legal action against anyone and everyone who made any kind of threat towards any of the members. They all hoped that it would help out a bit.

When Jimin woke up they told him about it and he smiled, "I guess that's better than nothing. "

"So, Jimin, do you want to report those guys or what?" Yoongi asked. Jimin still felt the same way he felt last night and said he felt like it was pointless. He had been so scared that he really couldn't even remember what they had looked like. Yoongi just said okay, but the choice was there in case he eventually changed his mind.

Jimin had to stay in the hospital for a few days and had to use a crutch around the dorm to keep weight off one side of his ribs. He was super grateful for his members and how much they were helping him out and caring for him. It almost hurt how much he loved them. He started thinking more about how the people online didn't know him, but the people he lived with did and they loved him so much. The things being said online stopped bothering him as much when he realized the hateful things people were saying honestly didn't matter.

He had a family who loved him, and a family that would keep him safe.
