Summary: Catrina Rhona Potter became something that was dreaded within the Wizarding community. She was an Obscurial; an extremely powerful one. A byproduct of the treatment her relatives had dished out on her. The last case seen had been Credence Barebone who had been just as powerful. However, with these poor children who were forced to grow an Obscurial they never lived for long. With this in mind, Minerva McGonagall ignored the words of Dumbledore (holding him fully to blame and fully responsible), and took the young girl under wing and into her care after the Dursleys were killed by her power when they went too far.

She knew Lily and James would be disgusted with all of them, and rightly so! Minerva was disgusted with them all and knew the old man had Confounded her so she didn't fight him nearly a decade ago. Minerva fully intended to help the little girl, to show her love, and to show her that her magic wasn't something to be frightened of.

Minerva was determined to show the young and last Potter love, to show her she needn't fear her magic or her power and to help her no matter what Dumbledore nor the Ministry said. With this in mind the Transfiguration Professor and Mistress adopted the nine year old, making Catrina her daughter. She would get to the bottom of why Dumbledore had treated her new daughter so abysmally if it was the last thing she did. She only hoped and prayed to any deity she could that she could save her new daughter from her dire fate.
