Summary: Kali Tulasi Collins was only a twenty-four year old medical student studying to become a nurse when the dead started rising. The minute things started going bad, she got herself and her two year old daughter Priya out of the city, heading to the quarry where the pair had camping trips with her ex-boyfriend. It was there that she met new friends, people she couldn't stand as they judged her for having a child young and unmarried and one gorgeous, gruff hunter with his brother. After an incident with Shane, Kali knew she could only really rely on herself to protect her and her daughter as no one stood up to the man. Until she became closer with the two hunters, easing some of her fears. But she knew there was nothing she wouldn't do for her child. She would become a Warrior and a protector as well as a mother. She would make sure that she, Priya, Daryl and Merle survived above all else.

Daryl had enough of the group that had turned up at the quarry. They were lazy, rude and relied sorely on one person to protect themselves rather than learning how to protect themselves. They wanted he and Merle to hunt but would rather stab them in the backs than befriend them. That is until a young woman and her baby turned up at the quarry and refused to give up her weapons and food to Shane when he demanded she do so. Instead she impressed he and Merle when she floored the cop when he tried to shove her and the baby out of the way to take things from her car.

Apparently she used to go camping in this spot all the time with her daughter and ex before the world went to hell and would not be giving up anything. Seems like not everyone was ignorant as the next surprising thing she did was set up her camp right next to he and Merle, tying cans attached to rope around the trees behind the her tent, which she set up expertly before she skinned and cooked a rabbit in no time. Daryl couldn't deny he was attracted to the beauty; she was smart, beautiful and knew how to survive. Plus she didn't shone he and Merle. Maybe he had found his happiness ironically after the world had ended, but he wouldn't change it for the world.
