Summary: Selene wasn't coping very well after the war. Being constantly hounded and everyone looking to her to fix their problems and being called selfish for wanting time with her family wasn't for her. She endured until Teddy was three until Andromeda passed with a broken heart and then took a road trip holiday around USA. However, a month into their holiday, before the apocalypse started, the tire blew on the RV. Fate seemed to hate her. As she was cursing up a storm at Fate and the tire a truck pulled up beside her with two men, hunters or rednecks as some would call them, that made her magic sing in a way no one else ever had or even could. What happens when both mother and son travel with these men to the quarry, will the group listen and accept her or will they just be another lot in a long line of superficial people.

Daryl upon spotting the airy brunette wanted to help her and her child and convinces his brother to do so despite Merle wanting to leave, that is until they hear her expletive curses; that it would make a sailor blush. Merle, like his younger brother Daryl instantly becomes attracted to her. Impressed by the fiery nature that hid behind her airy countenance. The way she prowls like a feline draws them even closer to the attractive, angelic woman; the younger Dixon with attraction and the elder with protectiveness that only an older brother can wield. They didn't know what it was but they knew they never wanted this feeling to end.

Her spacing off makes them instantly overprotective of her and her son, as does the warrior side they knew hid beneath. Daryl just knew he wanted to make them a Dixon and wouldn't accept anyone hurting her or Teddy in any form.
