Channelle's POV.

"Maris"
I called her as she walked to her class,
she turned "what?"

I smiled at her, " I love you!" I grinned happily

" I hate you!" She smiled sarcastically walking to her class.

That went well.

I gripped my bag tighter, walking to the class when suddenly Jayden appeared in my front.

"Hi Mr Johnson, you're in my path" I smiled toothlessly

"Chill, can we talk?"

"No, we can't"

"Please" he held my hand " I just want to apologise"

"Hope your beastful wife would not attack me?" I looked around.

"Hopefully, no" he looked around in search of her,

"2 minutes, I need to meet with the geng"

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have treated you or any of you like that. I'm sorry"

"Why are you apologising now?"

"I figured out that I wouldn't want to leave school holding grudges on you guys"

"So you don't regret what you did?" I widened my eyes in disbelief,

" I don't know about that, but I'm sorry"

"Wouldn't you apologise to the others?" I stared at him with an unbelievable expression.

"Later, I need to meet Vanessa. Nice letter you wrote by the way" he walked to meet her.

Omg!! He has opened the gift! The time was not right that was why nothing happened.
It was supposed to blow up in his face like a bomb.
I made my way to the class.

"Finally!!" Lami screamed the moment she sighted me, she rushed to me " what took you so long!!?"

She dragged me into the class and made me sit at a desk in front of the geng.

"Calm down, I met Jayden on the way"

"What did he say?" Janet fiddled with her fingers,

"He said he's sorry and all"

The boys chuckled " Did he tell you the reason why he apologised?" Jason asked

"Yes, he said he doesn't want to hold grudges with any of us since we are leaving school soon blah blah blah" I rolled my eyes,

"Thank God he met you and not me, I would have punched him for giving such an apology, " Amarachi said while gazing at Kachi who was applying lip gloss on her lips.

"I think the lip gloss on her lips is too much," I said after glancing at her, everybody turned to stare,

"Am I the only one who feels this girl is weird?" Amarachi sat up to continue staring at her,

"No, but the fact you're the one feeling It, is weird" Janet threw a glance at Kachi

"Don't mind Janet, we are just used to Elle feeling all the weird stuff" Craig mumbled

" It's as if she's possessed by the Devil, sometimes she acts like an obanje" Amarachi continued

"What's an obanje?" Jimmy asked,

"It's a person that is possessed or acts like one," Amarachi explained.

"It's okay! She looks beautiful though " Lami complimented.

"Hm, I'm not sure you are ready to collect the certificate oh, this one you don't know the difference between 'beautiful' and 'ugly'. " Jimmy glared at her.

"Fine whatever you say. Let's just stop talking about Kachi, Jayden or whomever and let's focus on our graduation dresses!" Lami said finale

"Yes, ma" Amarachi turned her back to Kachi.

"So the colour of our dress would be wine while the boys would wear a wine suit to match " Lami explained

I groaned "Same thing every year, why don't we do an African attire"

"Nice idea, but the decision has been made. Wine dress with wine suit, sliver heels, black shoes " she continued

" When were you guys going to announce this?" Craig asked

"Like I knew it. Well it's been announced before our exams began, I knew you guys wouldn't check that platform" Lami snickered

"Forgive us your Highness" Jimmy bowed to her

"Aren't you girls suppose to go shopping or something like that?" Jason asked

"Well, everything has been provided by the prefects and the school authorities, your dress, suit, shoes and heels would be delivered to your doorstep a day before graduation" Janet explained

"Opor! What if there's an adjustment to make?" I asked

" It would be delivered in the morning, with a note that says you should test it out, and call if there's any amendment you wish to make" Janet explained,

"You guys should better collect awards for the best set of prefects, especially our Head Girl" Craig smiled

"The only thing we need to attend to is our hair and nails," Lami said

"All right, I'll be right back" I stood up to go out.

Lami held me " where are you going too?"

"Hold her oh, she wants to run away. You guys have drilled her with talks" Jimmy chuckled

I glared at him "I'm not running away, I'll be right back" I tried convincing Lami

"Drop one leg of your shoe," Lami said,

I laughed " Haba, if I can step out of the class with one shoe on, I can go anywhere in the school. I'll be back in a second you wouldn't even notice I'm gone"

"Okay, 2 minutes to wherever you're going to" she let go of my hand.

I ran out of the class in speed, I'm so pressed, I've been trying hard to keep it in, but I can't hold it any longer.

I got to the lavatory in no time and went ahead to do my business.

I stared at my reflection in the mirror as I turned on the tap to wash my hands.

"Hi Elle" She smiled sweetly,

I could see her reflection in the mirror, she was behind me.

I sighed heavily " what do you want?"

Maintaining her smile, she asked," I hope you enjoyed your time with those friends of yours?"

I smiled, " I did"

"Good because this would be your last time with them on earth!!"

Before I could ask what she meant by that, I felt something hard hit me at the back of my head causing me to hit the floor with a thud, I groaned painfully. She hit me again, this time on my forehead, she brought her face close to mine,

" I hate you" was what I heard before I blacked out.

Lami's POV.

" I gave her two minutes oh, she's not yet back," I complained to the rest of us still seated.

" I told you, not to let her go but good samaritan you let her go. I knew she was going to run away" Jimmy said while tearing the nylon of a biscuit open.

"Good morning seniors, please Senior Ahmed asked me to call Senior Janet," A Junior said to us and left.

"Your husband calls for you" Craig motioned his hands

Janet hits him hard on his shoulder " I'm having a meeting with the rest of the prefects. See you guys later" Janets walks out.

"Argh!! Why do I feel like I'm the only one putting effort into this graduation" I frowned after she left

Jason puts his hands on my shoulder" because that's the truth. As far as I'm concerned Janet and Elle don't have the same spirit you have concerning the graduation"

Craig puts his hands on my left shoulder " but it's a good thing we have you! With that spirit, you'll ginger us so we don't miss it"

I smiled sadly, " I forgot to tell you guys, I got a camera, so we could snap our lives out on that day".

Jimmy hugged me by my side" aww, don't worry we would snap our lives out. So your money doesn't go in vain"

"How much did you buy it?" Jason asked patting my head.

"100K"

"Ehnn, just for camera!" He removed his hands immediately,

"Are you forgetting she's Hush puppi, she has money. Omo lowo" Jimmy reminded Jason.

"Hmmn. Do you have 200k that you're not using again so that you'll borrow me" Jason begged me

I laughed, " I even have 1millon that I'm not using again, just come to my house to collect it"

He hits my head" ordinary 200k that I asked from you, you're already telling me to come to your house. Girls are scum. Let's go" He dragged Jimmy and Craig.

"Where are you guys going, won't we look for Elle?"

"She'll come back, we are coming back too" Craig answered me.

They walked out of the class.
I looked around the class, everybody was busy doing their thing, one girl named Helen came inside crying and the boys started singing, 🎶

Last last,🎶
Na everybody go chop breakfast.🎶

Another set continued with, 🎶

Breakfast na national cake,🎶
E go touch everybody,🎶
E don touch Helen,🎶
We dey wait for our own oh.🎶

I laughed slightly, many relationships would be ending. She was served morning breakfast.

Where did Elle go to?
I wondered as I turned on my phone to listen to music while observing everyone in the class.

We made a good set but I'm sure from the teacher's point of view, we were the worst set ever. They always say that to the Ss3 students.
I'll surely miss my classmates and the four walls of the school, I'm glad none of my friends was victims of the ritual.

"You need to see the way Senior Jayden grabbed Senior Channelle by the hands and ran fast to the gate like they were escaping to go and love themselves where people like Senior Vannessa would not be an enemy to their love" I overheard two Ss1 students gossiping between themselves.

Did Jayden take Channelle outside?

"Hey! You and you!" I pointed to them, "come here".

" Good Morning, Senior Lami" They greeted.

"Did you see Jayden taking Channelle out?"

They looked at each other and nodded to me, " Yes Senior, we did"

"You can go."

As I walked further the corridors of Ss1 block, I heard students who were saying they prefer the Jayden and Channelle couple thing to Jayden and Vanessa.

Shaking my head. I smiled and headed to Janet who was punishing a student.

"They kids said they saw Jayden dragging Channelle towards the gate," I told her,

"Yeah, I heard it too. Never knew many Juniors were shipping them."

"Yeah, and I can't believe she ditched us like that"

"I'm sure it wasn't intentionally" Janet flung her hands on my shoulders. "Let's go and eat".
