Monday is here again, where everybody dresses smart and act like they know what they are doing, then they come to the road to horn their lives out. I'm tired of these 10 minutes weekends can't we get something longer?!!

This morning, early morning and who's this?

"Good morning Channelle"

Turning my back to see my Mom at the door, "Good morning Mom" I said, arranging my bag for school

"Hope you slept well"

"Yes Ma"

"You know, you can stay at home if you want too"

Like seriously??

"Thanks, Mom I'll be going today"

"Baby?"

"Yes Mom"

"Is something wrong?"

"No Mom"

"Mom Good morning!" Maris greeted barging inside

"Morning Maris, you're ready for school?"

"Yes Mom, and I'm glad to see her ready for school too, without a fight of course"

"Let's get you, kids, to school, shall we?"

"I'm not a kid Mom" Maris grumbles

I just couldn't help but ask "Then what are you? a Hippo? or an Elephant?"

"Would you be glad to have a Hippo or an Elephant as your sister?"

"Yeah as long as she isn't dumb like you"

"Enough girls...Get in the car"

"Would you be driving us to school?" Maris asked

"What does it look like?" I asked Maris

"For God Sake Channelle! I wasn't asking you. Mom are you? "

"What does it look like?"Mom asked Maris

"It was just a question Mom that required Yes or No" Maris said quietly opening the door to get in.

Mom started driving, I decided to check the message

The school has become my worst nightmare.

"So I heard" Maris begins

"What did you hear Maris?" I asked her

"I heard you've gotten a new boyfriend," She said gaining the attention of my Mom

"Well, you heard wrong and a new boyfriend? I wonder if there was an old one" I said nonchalantly

"A boyfriend Channelle?" My Mom asked with mixed expressions,

I wonder how I'm still cool about this

"Don't mind her Mom, she's just bluffing"

Maybe because I have a much serious problem, Or because I'm innocent... Whatever the feeling is, I love the calmness in me.

"I'm not bluffing Mom" Maris protests

Oh, I see where she's going...

"He broke up with her, that's why she has been acting all moody"

Heartbroken= Moody, It makes sense even though it's not true... The calmness has left me, I'm dead!!

Looking at the Mirror, I can see my Mom bringing pieces together and Maris acting so innocent,

"Channelle is this true?"

"No ma"

"We'll discuss it when you get back"

"Mom I-"

"Shut it and get down"

"Bye Mom," Maris said rushing out, running for her dear life,

She better run

"Mom, It isn't true... Bye," I said rushing out.

Here I come.

Jason yelled, "Hey Elle!" he jogged to me,

"Hey Jason, How are you doing?" I asked smiling at him

"I'm handsome as always and you?"

"As ugly and wicked as always," Jayden said, standing beside Jason

"Haha, very funny"

"What you have in that head of yours, Is how you're going to get hold of Maris and beat her Or am I wrong?" Jayden asked

Well he's right

I shrugged, "Let's go to class, see you later Jayden," I said dragging Jason by the hand and pulling him along "you're going to help me find Maris, won't you? I asked Jason with a smile,

"Yeah sure, why not"

We entered the classroom,

"Look who abandoned her friends," Lami said, spreading her hands for a hug,

I hugged her " I missed you guys," I said sniffing

"I missed you too," Janet said joining the hug

"Erm, guys since Amara isn't here, can I substitute for her?" A guy in class asked

"Thanks, bro but we're good" Janet replied laughing

"So tell me, how was your weekend?" Lami asked, sitting on the desk

"Boring" I quickly answered

"That was fast," Lami said, staring at me

"Because it's the truth"

"Mine was awesome, I had a wonderful time!!" Janet said, grinning

"I had a fantastic time with my new friends, we went to the Shopping Mall that just recently opened and it was the best!!" Vanessa added grinning like crayfish

Who asked her? yen... see her mouth.

Jayden, Craig and Jimmy came into the class,

"Wassup Fans!!" Jimmy yelled, dropping his bag on his seat

"Hey, baby!!" Vanessa screamed, rushing to hug Jayden

"Better don't reach here oh," Craig warned

Craig made his way to his seat, "Hey girls" He greeted when he got closer

"Wow!! what a wonderful reunion," I said, giving a clap... "Can we go already?" I asked Jason

"Sure", he said, grabbing Janet and Lami's hands and dragging them out, " Enjoy your reunion" He added

"Hey wait for us! "Craig yelled, "common Jimmy let's go"

"What God has yoked together let no man put apart," Jimmy said, muttering he added "Bless you, Bless you. Bye peeps!!"

"So tell us, what happened between you and Maris?" Craig asked

I think I'll just leave some part-out

"This morning, Maris lied to my Mom about me having a boyfriend"

Lami and Janet burst into laughter, "wait, are you really serious?!"

"Yeah and it seems like, I'm going to be facing the Disciplinary Committee when I get home," I said sitting down crossed leg on the grass.

Janet and Lami wouldn't stop laughing. Janet held her hands up trying to calm herself, "I'm sorry for laughing, Lami stop laughing" She said to Lami giggling

"Boys any comment on this?" I asked them

"No comments "Craig replied

"What are we going to do with her?" Jason asked

"Now that I think of it, I'll deal with her later just the same way she dealt with me," I said, smiling

I might just have the right plan

"Of course! You were going to deal with her yourself, she's just too pretty and innocent for me to help you deal with her" Jason said, laying on the grass

"Innocent, you say?" I said, bringing an Oreo from my pocket,

Sitting on the grass, Janet asked "Have you guys heard?"

"What are we supposed to hear?" Jimmy asked

"What I'm about to tell you guys"

"What are you about to tell us?" Craig asked this time around

"Shut Up" Lami scolded

"You sound like someone I know," Craig said with his fingers making movement on his mouth

"Focus guys!!"

"Can you tell us already!! I'm hungry!!" Jimmy whined grabbing the piece offering I offered to him

"Let's wait for Jay to get here"

"You must be kidding me, let's bounce please," said Jimmy, wrapping his hand around his stomach

"Makes me wonder how many you've got," said Lami, stretching her hands up for help, to be lifted up the grass.

"I guess we'll be meeting during Lunch," Jason said

"I guess," Janet said.

I stood up, dusting the dirt off my skirt. "See you later!" I said waving at them

"Are you not going to class?"

"I'll meet you in class"

"Stay out of trouble!" Craig yelled.

Let's see if I can avoid that, shall we?
