"You have no idea how many times a week I have to deal with that," Minghao sighed, shaking his head as he and Jun left his apartment. "Hey, shouldn't you brush your teeth before we go out to get ice cream?"
Jun winced. "I don't know about you, but I don't really feel like going back inside there."
"Me too. Can we go to your place before ice cream? I'll wait for you. Besides, I'm sure that your family is worried about you," Minghao said.
"Ah, they're actually out of town. Do you really think I'd go to a party if Manchu was home? He looks up to me. I can't just show up drunk late at night when he's there," Jun replied. "Anyways, it's fine. We can stop by my place first. There's a nice ice cream parlor near my place, and there's a café next to it too."
"Now that I think about it, coffee does sound better," Minghao mused. "I didn't get much sleep last night, thanks to a certain someone."
"Sorry," Jun responded sheepishly. "My treat?"
"Okay, but you can't take that back," Minghao teased him. Jun nodded.
"Alright. Let's go," Jun said, and Minghao followed behind closely. He almost ran into Jun when the older boy stopped suddenly.
"What is it?" Minghao asked exasperatedly. He was really craving some coffee.
"Shit! I forgot my wallet and my phone at your place!" Jun panicked, patting his pants frantically. Minghao sighed. He pulled the objects of Jun's worry out of his jacket pockets.
"Here," Minghao said as he held out Jun's belongings. "I took them from you last night to make sure that you wouldn't lose them."
"Thank you so much!" Jun grabbed the items from Minghao's hand and stuffed them into the pockets of his jeans before hugging the younger boy tightly. "You're a lifesaver."
"Of course, of course. What would you do without me?" Minghao grinned at Jun. "Can we please go now? I really want some coffee."
"Alright!" Jun exclaimed. He slung an arm around Minghao's shoulders. "Onwards, comrade! Next stop: Wen Junhui's house!"
"Honestly, you're so weird," Minghao responded quietly, though his mouth was upturned into a fond smile.

"One Americano and one vanilla mocha! Oh, and a chocolate chip muffin too, please!" Jun beamed at the cashier as he placed his order. Minghao sighed as he saw the cashier's light blush.
"Of course. Your total is 11,000 Won," the cashier mumbled.
"Hey, why are you talking so quietly? Your voice is beautiful! You should speak up more. Oh, only if you're comfortable, of course," Jun smiled and gave her the money. "Here you go."
Minghao scowled. Honestly, this boy. Did he even know what his words did to other people? Not to mention his looks. Minghao looked on enviously as the cashier nervously brushed a piece of hair behind her ear and replied to Jun. He tapped his foot impatiently.
"Jun, other people are waiting behind us, you know," Minghao interrupted. He started to walk away from the counter coolly. "C'mon."
"Oh, right. It was nice talking to you! Have a nice day! Sorry," Jun waved at the cashier and apologized to the group behind them, a young group of girls who giggled cutely and told him that it was fine.
"Should I go get us a table?" Jun asked as he joined Minghao.
"That would be a good idea. I'll get our drinks," Minghao said.
"I'm guessing you want to sit outside?" Jun smirked, and Minghao nodded. "Got it. See you in a few then."
Jun clapped Minghao on his shoulder before walking outside of the café. Minghao sighed as he waited for their order. He pulled out his phone and typed in his password, only for his phone to buzz back angrily at him. Minghao frowned. He typed in his password again, but his phone still wouldn't unlock.
Minghao swiped the screen to look at the lock-screen. That was weird. Minghao's lock-screen was supposed to be a picture he had taken of some flowers, but instead, the bright faces of Jun and Manchu stared up at him. Was this Jun's phone? He stared at it in horror. Did that mean that Jun had Minghao's phone?
"One Americano, one vanilla mocha, and one chocolate chip cookie to go!" a voice rang out.
"Thanks," Minghao told the worker quietly, smiling half-heartedly. He stuffed the phone in his pocket before grabbing the muffin and the drinks and going outside.
"Oh, that was quick," Jun said, his eyes glancing up at Minghao. "Hey, I didn't know that you wrote stories!"
"Give me that!" Minghao hissed loudly. He snatched his phone back from Jun before throwing the older boy's phone on the table. "Don't you know that it's rude to look through people's things?"
"Aw, but we've known each other for years, Minghao. I just got a little curious," Jun grinned. "Sorry!"
"Yeah, whatever."
"Aw, don't be mad! Besides, I didn't read anything, I swear. I just noticed the app when I went to take a selfie. My friend goes on there a lot, so I recognized it immediately," Jun explained. "I wouldn't go through your things like that, Minghao. Check the app if you don't believe me."
"Don't worry, I believe you. I do want to see the pictures though," Minghao grinned. He scrolled through the photos app, laughing at the stupid faces Jun had made.
"Alright, alright, you've seen them. Now delete them," Jun commanded.
"Delete these? But they're are hilarious! I think I want to send them to Soonyoung," Minghao joked. Jun's eyes widened.
"Don't you dare! Give me your phone back!" Jun shrieked, trying to grab Minghao's phone. Minghao moved it out of his reach as he emailed the photos to himself.
"Make me," Minghao retorted as he waited for the email to send.
"Hey, I see you sending it to Soonyoung! Give me that!"
Jun attempted to take Minghao's phone once again, but Minghao stuck out his tongue and shuffled away. Minghao laughed playfully as he leaned back out of the side of his chair. His laughter ceased, however, as he felt himself falling out of his chair, and his arms flailed around wildly.
Jun acted quickly and grabbed Minghao's waist to keep him from falling. Their breaths stilled as they stayed in that position, Jun leaning over Minghao as Minghao's hands clutched Jun's shirt. Neither of them noticed that someone had joined them until they heard a timid cough. Jun quickly sat upright, pulling Minghao with him.
"Um, excuse me? You forgot your receipt," the café cashier said. She placed the receipt on the table. "Um, I'll just leave this here..."
"Thank you," Jun smiled dazzlingly at the cashier. The girl blushed as she hurried inside, and Minghao sighed.
"I think she thinks that we're dating," Minghao told Jun awkwardly.
"Hey, I don't have a problem with that if you don't," Jun replied, winking cheekily at Minghao for an added effect. Minghao rolled his eyes and shoved Jun.
"Hey!" Jun protested.
Jun pouted cutely at Minghao, but Minghao ignored him as he took a bite out of the muffin. Minghao smiled contently as he heard Jun let out an exaggerated sigh of defeat. Minghao had to admit, being Jun's friend again was pretty fun. He had missed the older boy.
