"Hey! Sorry, Minghao, but Meiying wanted me to pick up something from the store, so I'll be running a little late. Please don't be mad at me! I'm coming soon! Bye!" Jun spoke into his phone, ending the call once he had finished recording his voicemail.

Jun stuffed his phone in his jacket pocket and sprinted towards the bus stop, sighing with relief when he was able to squeeze his way into the bus before it left. He pulled his phone back out of his pocket, checking for any response from Minghao. There was nothing, so Jun put his phone in his pocket again, a disappointed look on his face.

When the bus screeched to a halt at Jun's stop, Jun ran off and urgently searched for the restaurant where he would be meeting Minghao, Soonyoung, and Jihoon. After a few minutes of looking around like a confused toddler, Jun located the restaurant and quickly walked towards it.

Jun scanned the faces of the restaurant's patrons, his mouth pulling into a smile when he located Soonyoung energetically waving at him. He saw Minghao turn around and wave at him too, giving Jun a small smile and a wink. Jun went over to their table and sat down in the empty seat beside Minghao.

"Hello!" Jun greeted his friends, smiling at them all. "What did I miss?"

"They took our drink orders, but we got something for you, so don't worry," Jihoon answered him. "Hey, just curious though, why am I here?"

"Don't be so rude, sweetie! They're your friends too," Soonyoung pouted. Jihoon glared at him.

"Hm, well earlier in the week, Chan told me that he would have plans today anyways, so I didn't bother asking him. Jun wanted to hang out with me when I was at work today, so I decided maybe it would be better if we hung out with you guys too later. You don't mind, right?" Minghao asked. Jihoon shook his head and smiled politely.

"It's no problem, Minghao."

"Hey! Why are you always nicer to my own roommate than you are to me?" Soonyoung whined as a waiter brought their drinks over.

"Soonyoung...Jihoon's nicer to everyone than he is to you..." Jun told him. Soonyoung grinned.

"Hmm, you should see him when we're alone. He's such a sweetheart, you have no idea. Even if we're having sex, and he's being rough, once we're done, he–"

"Shut up. Here, drink this," Jihoon interrupted, shoving Soonyoung's drink in front of his face. Soonyoung smirked.

"Fine, fine, I get it. Hey, but you know, this kinda feels like a double date, doesn't it?" Soonyoung asked. Jun beamed.

"That's what I said!" Jun declared, perking up in his seat. Minghao rolled his eyes.

"Too bad we aren't dating," Minghao coldly responded.

"Too bad, indeed! Why don't we change that?" Jun flirted, winking at Minghao. Minghao sighed exasperatedly, dragging a hand through his hair slowly. Jun bit his lip. How did Minghao make even a small action like that seem so attractive? He was infatuated.

"Stuff it, Wen," Minghao said. Jun pouted in a way that he hoped was cute.

"Not even Wenwen? You're so mean to me, Minghao-ah," Jun replied.

"Honestly, weren't you the one who said that he didn't like the nicknames? And stop trying to pout, you look as cute as a ceiling fan."

Damn. Well, there goes that plan.

"Rude!"
