"When I said that I'd buy you coffee, I meant a cup of coffee not several!" Jun grumbled, glaring at Minghao from across the table.

"Well, you should've specified then. You didn't say you'd buy me only one cup," Minghao responded, sipping his drink calmly and giving Jun an innocent smile. What could he say? He really loved coffee.

"Revealing your true colors, are you?" Jun said, smirking at Minghao.

"Nope, I'm only like this around you, actually. I guess you just bring out the worst in me," Minghao retorted. He finished his third cup of coffee and threw it in the trash can.

"Oh, you're done. Shall we go now?" Jun asked, standing up and stuffing his hands in the pocket of his hoodie. Minghao nodded, and the two of them walked out of the café.

"Wait! I need to get Manchu a cookie! Wait here, okay?" Jun exclaimed loudly, running back into the café.

Minghao rubbed his ears sorely, but he didn't move from his spot. He checked his phone as he waited for Jun, who came out a few minutes later. Minghao started walking slowly, allowing Jun to catch up with him easily.

"So, um, Manchu is your nephew right? The one who likes the aquarium a lot?" Minghao spoke up. Jun nodded.

"He's obsessed with animals that live in the water, though I don't know exactly why. When I was his age, I was more into dinosaurs," Jun said.

"Really? I was quite into aquatic animals myself as a kid," Minghao admitted.

Suddenly, Minghao remembered the penguin hat that he had brought with him to Korea. He frowned. That hat was too small for him now, wasn't it? Maybe Manchu would like it as a gift. Minghao bit his lip hesitantly and opened his mouth to speak, but was cut off by Jun muttering something under his breath.

"What did you say?" Minghao questioned curiously. Jun looked up at Minghao and shook his head.

"Nothing, I was just talking to myself," Jun responded, kicking a few stray pebbles on the ground. "Were you about to say something?"

"Hm? Oh yeah, sorry, right. Um, so basically, I have this old penguin hat that I brought with me to Korea, and it's way too small for me now, so if it's okay, I'd like to give it to Manchu. Are you okay with that?" Minghao asked. Jun smiled at him fondly.

"Maybe you're not as much of a demon as I thought you were," Jun said, ruffling Minghao's hair. Minghao scowled at him and fixed his hair, patting it down gently.

"You didn't answer me. Is that a yes or a no?"

"It's a yes. But you have to eat dinner with my family and I. There's no way that my sister is just going to let you give us something for free without doing something for you in return. Besides, Soonyoung's going out with his boyfriend tonight, isn't he? You'll be all alone anyways. So, what do you say?" Jun rambled, gazing at Minghao expectantly.

"Oh, I, um, sure. Then I'll head back to my place for now and come over later with the hat?" Minghao asked him. Jun nodded.

"I'll text you my address. See you later tonight then," Jun told him, a bright smile on his face and a faint blush coating his cheeks.

He waved at Minghao as he ran towards the bus stop. Minghao chuckled and waved back, turning back to enter his apartment building. As he entered his bedroom of his apartment, he fell onto his bed with a wide grin. Was it just him, or was Jun getting cuter with every passing day?

okay, so I have some important news about updates in the summer. I'm still going to try to update weekly, but I can't guarantee it, so don't be surprised if my updates are inconsistent. I'm actually going to be really busy this summer. I'm taking Chemistry and Geometry/Algebra online, and I already have a LOT summer work for AP World History which I'll be taking during the school year(rip me). and obviously, I'm going to get summer work for Lit. hopefully there won't be any for AP Bio, but I have a strong feeling that there will be.

in addition to that, I'll be at my aunt and uncle's place in Oregon, so I'll be hanging out with their kids(my cousins) a lot bc surprisingly enough I am capable of human feelings such as love(ö shocker). nah, but I'm going to be trying to hang out with them a lot, and I'll be doing all my work at my aunt's hospital(I can't stay alone in their house for safety reasons).

I also have to practice piano there a lot too. if I finish all my work for the day and still have time left over, then I'll probably be able to write chapters(hopefully good, lengthy ones). also, I'll probably be sleeping in another room, well at least I hope I will be, so if I am, I don't mind staying up late to write the next updates.

but even after I go back home from Oregon, I'm going to be busy. when I fly back into Atlanta with my aunt, uncle, and their kids, my parents are going to be redoing their wedding vows(bc my mom thought it'd be cute for their 25th wedding anniversary(I think it's the 25th anniversary anyway)), so that's gonna be hectic.

actually, I think I'm supposed to be working on multiple things for the ceremony right now lmao(speeches and some other things that my mom wants me to collaborate w her friends on and shit). so yeah, I'm gonna be really busy, hell I'm kinda busy now, but I'm still gonna try and get updates out on time for you during the next few months.
