PERSONALITY
Laine always hated her birthday because of her parents. Lysander never got to celebrate his, so Laine always lets him have the spotlight and made it his day. Laine always stands up for Lysander. He's much more shy of the two but Ashe gets older Lysander opens up more and becomes very confident. He's a true Ravenclaw. He loves magic and studying. He doesn't talk about their family. He doesn't like lying, neither does Laine, but they have to to protect themselves. Lysander is awkward and shy when meeting new people or flirting while Laine is more charismatic and confident. Lysander doesn't like Laine's drinking habits but he understands that it helps her sometimes, even if it is a problem. Laine can be a bit cocky at times and she's very fragile when it comes to trusting others and her feelings. She loves partying and would much rather do that then talk about how she feels. Laine is very reckless. She doesn't really like the school part of school, other than Quidditch. The stars have always fascinated Laine. She loves all things Muggle, she was forbidden from learning nothing about MUggles growing up because of her parents. She was taught to hate the Weasleys but she made it her goal to befriend them to get back at her parents. She can be very reckless when it comes to— well, everything. She can be very over the top sometimes while Lucas is much more calm. He's quiet most of the time but he has SASS when he speaks. He loves studying and spends all of his time in the library. He doesn't like his sisters drinking problem so he goes to lots of parties with her. Laine can be a bit of a show off if she wins at something and can be very loud but most of the time she's actually quite pleasant to be around. Lysander and Laine are the oddest pair of siblings ever. They never fight. At first glance they don't even seem like siblings, much less twins. Laine has trust issues and Lysander is very jumpy and sensitive to touch, being that he was abused both mentally and physically in his childhood. He has some scars on his back from his grandfather. Lysander is terrified of their family, and while Laine acts like she isn't, she's afraid too. She hates them with a burning passion. The twins owe everything to their grandmother. Their grandmother saved them from their horrible parents, and left her own horrible husband to help the kids.They love her dearly. Recently she got really sick and the twins are worrying their butts off about her. Laine looks like their father and Lysander looks like their mother. They aren't identical twins.

BACKSTORY
Laine hates her parents. They treated her like the golden child and were very controlling while they treated Lysander like trash. Her grandfather took Lysander under his wing but was abusive, drunk, and strict. He hated Lysander, too, said he was a pathetic excuse for a grandson— and Lysander believed this. He was five years old when his grandfather started abusing him. Their grandfather was divorcing their grandma, who didn't even live with him anymore, but she visited the twins all the time. She was the only nice one in their family. Laine rebelled against her parents and her and Lysander ran away with their grandmother. They haven't seen their parents or grandfather in six years. They're dead to their parents. Their last name isn't actually Brooks, it's Lemmon. The Lemmons are a well-known pureblood family. They are big followers and supporters of the Dark Lord. Laine's parents wanted her to be a Death Eater, and Lysander... well, they never cared about him, and when Laine found out what they were going to do to him, she was furious. Her grandmother was the only reasonable one. She married into the Lemmon family. After Laine and Lysander ran away, they changed their names and the Lemmons covered up their disappearance. the Daily Prophet was told that Laine had gone missing on her way to boarding school (Laine was supposed to go to Fleur's school and they said Lysander was going to go to Dumstrang, when really her family was going to stage an accident for him) and Lysander was presumed dead in a train crash. This happened when Laine and her brother were nine, about to turn ten. The two have lived happily with their grandmother ever since.People talk about the Lemmons in the halls all the time, and Laine has to keep her head down. She ignores that stuff, and she may act confident, but these things really hurt her. People talk trash about the Lemmons, and they don't even realize that she's one. She overheard a few people talking before the second task about how the Lemmon twins went missing. No one knew the twin's names, only that they were sheltered and spoiled. one of the girls said his sister probably died in the crash too and how they "deserved to die, those spoiled brats." Laine managed to stay calm but she entered an empty classroom and immediately broke down sobbing. Once she was down Laine angerily opened a flask from her purse and chugged it. Then she broke down crying again. Someone hugged her suddenly and she was surprised but let them do it. When Laine looked up, thinking it was Lysander, she found Fred. He asked if she was okay and she broke down again and told him everything. He'd probably hate her. Instead, Fred simply hugs her and says no one should ever have to go through that. And that he'd keep her secret, and she's always welcome to join his family for the holidays, like her offered back in third year. He leaves and at first Laine regrets telling him but then is happy he knows. She tells Lysander, who is surprised, but glad Laine finally opened up to someone. The only other person who knows about their secret and their past is Lysander's best friend

REACTION TO WAKING UP IN THE RAVENCLAW COMMON ROOM
At first, Laine isn't very surprised to have woken up in a Ravenclaw dorm, especially when she learns that some sort of party must have happened the night before. But after a while Laine begins to panic because this doesn't seem to have been just any party... Laine must've spilled many, many secrets the night before as the chaos continues to unfold throughout the morning.

WHY THEY WERE AT THE PARTY or HOW THEY GOT CAUGHT UP IN THE CHAOS
Laine went to the party to celebrate with Cedric because he won the second task and is in first place. she loves partying and she could use a drink. Plus, she heard that the twins (specifically Fred) were going to be there. Lysander is in the common room when the party starts and decides to keep an eye on his sister before he heads outside (there's a big storm that night and Lysander has been waiting to become an Animagus for a loooong time and tonight is finally the night he becomes one!).

DO THEY DRINK?
Yes, Laine has had alcohol before, in her fifth year. She drinks a lot when she's angry or sad and hates hangovers. Lysander doesn't like drinking (their grandfather was a drunk) but he has gotten drunk before when his drink has been spiked at parties with Laine (it happens a lot, unfortunately).

Laine — Laine usually wears clothes she can move in and get dirty. Flannel is her best friend and she always wears a pair of boots. She hates her uniform with a burning passion and wears her tie loosely around her neck. She hates skirts and dresses (she makes an exception for parties and dates though) but long jackets are okay. Jeans are a girl's best friend. She likes leather jackets and crop tops, and lacy bras.
Lysander — Lysander wears a lot of layers because he gets cold very easily. He likes the uniforms because they're long, a bit too big, and cover his skin. Lysander always wears layers and never short sleeves because of his scars. He always hides them. Lysander likes wearing warm, thick sweaters, collared shirts underneath, and long jackets. He wears long pants, too, and white sneakers that Laine and him have doodled on over the years. Ly wears long sleeved pajamas to bed and his wardrobe doesn't change much when partying.
