"Relax, Leo! Geez!"

"How the heck can I relax, Padma?! You're mental!" I yelled annoyed, throwing my pillow at her face. "And you're a bastard!" Padma yelled back at me throwing it at me, back. I swiftly dodged it and it hit my alarm clock instead, knocking it onto the floor. Padma smiled cheekily and shrugged. That's why I loved her as a best friend; no matter what you'd do, no matter what you'd say to her, Padma would never take it offensively. We'd never had an argument in the four years we've known each other.

"Leo, don't be stressed out about the next task. It's not a 'hippogriff' situation as Draco would say" she said lying against me. I smiled as the memory flew back about how the 'hippogriff' phrase got invented:

The three young Malfoy were spread across the Malfoy Manor grounds underneath the sunshine of 13th March 1989. Leo was silently sitting the grass reading 'Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them', Draco was rolling around in the grass, moaning and Imani was playing with the pet rabbits and 6-year-old Theo was somewhere inside the Manor.

"Hey, guys!" Leo called out happily "Look what I just found in my book. 'Eye contact should be maintained when approaching a Hippogriff. Bowing shows good intentions. If the Hippogriff returns the greeting, it is safe to draw closer'". The two others looked at their sister, immensely confused. "Merlin's beard?! Seriously?! The Hippogriff is so mature, unlike us and it's an animal!" Leo pointed out. Draco chuckled. "Leo, when were we ever mature?"

"I agree" Imani replied sitting down next to her brother. "You know, Draco" Leo said huffing "When you get the disrespect from a Hippogriff, don't come crying to me!" 

Imani smiled. "I like it. A 'Hippogriff' situation. A situation where no one respects you". Leo chuckled at it and kept calling her brother a Hippogriff for the rest of the week.

I pulled Padma into a hug and whispered into her ear: "Thank you, Padma". "What for?" she replied, puzzled "I didn't do anything!"

"For reminding me that I'm never alone"

"Padma! Leo!"

We were strolling in corridors, later that day when Theo became visible behind us, running frantically. "Theo!" Padma squealed excitedly. Padma's been longing to meet Theo since our first year and now that he's in his first year, she's been squealing whenever she sees him. Theo gave Padma a quick hug and turned to me, annoyed immensely.

"Leo, you said you were going to help me with my work. I have to give it tomorrow!" he wailed. "Alright! I'll come right now since I'm free!"

Padma looked at us. "Could I come too? I could be of some help!". I smiled and looked at Theo who grabbed Padma's hand. "Why not?" I replied putting my one arm around Padma and the other around Theo. That was the first time in months I advanced onto my future.

Without the tournament on my mind.
