For a minute, I thought I was still asleep and it was a dream but when Padma tapped my shoulder, I knew it was reality. Since Moody had turned Draco into a ferret, every single student at Hogwarts used to stare at me. Like literally.

When Potions class ended and we all were coming out of the dungeons, a bunch of Gryffindor third-years were standing close by, gossiping and I caught, Leo Malfoy in the conversation. But that's not all. After lunch, I heard Pennsylvania and a Slytherin 7th year saying, "Should I ask Leo?".

In the night, Padma came bursting into the dormitory murmuring "This is not good. Bad. Not good". "What happened?" I asked her concerned. "Leo," she said scared "There are rumors about you. That Pansy Parkinson spread". "That idiot" I said. Pansy and I had a row in our second year when the Chamber Of Secrets was opened and ever since then we were the worst of enemies.

"What is it about?" "Well, apparently you put the Imperius Curse on Moody to repay Draco by making him a ferret for all the horrible and mean things he did to you" Padma explained. "Draco?" I asked laughing "He? Doing something bad to me? Nonsense! How many people believe this, Padma?" "Everyone" she replied "Except me, Sue, Adidas and Parvati". "What about Draco?"

"I don't know" Padma said "You should get some sleep, Leo. You're going to have to face a lot of craziness tomorrow". "You're right, Padma. Good night!"

And everything Padma said to me was true. A bunch of girls passed me as I came out from the Great Hall and whispered, "You death eater". Worst of all, Professor Flitwick called me in his office regarding this situation.

"Miss Malfoy, did you use the Imperius curse on Professor Moody?" he asked me seriously. "Not at all, Professor! I wouldn't dare do such a thing! It's just some cock-and-bull story Pansy Parkinson fed to the entire school" I replied. "I believe you, Leo" he replied patting my hand "Just be careful". When I came out of his office, Padma was eyeing me suspiciously. "You've turned red, Leo" she remarked.

"Shut up, Pam" I said poking her in the elbow "C'mon, let's go to Transfiguration class". And, Pansy was in the class with me. In the middle of class, she passed on a note to me saying,

Have fun in Azkaban, Malfoy. Lots of wishes from me!!! :p

At the end of the lesson, she tripped me over on purpose and blamed it on Padma. "Stop lying, Parkinson" Padma objected helping me get up and we quickly dashed out of the room before Pansy could say anything else. Just then Charlie and Cho were passing by, chatting rapidly. "Charlie! Cho!" I called out. They ignored me and went away.

"I told you, Leo" Padma said "They don't believe you. Barely anyone does" "How can people believe that idiot's rumors?" I asked.

"Leo! Wait up!"

Padma and I spun around and saw Draco running towards us. "Hey, Draco" I said smiling. "Ugh" he replied breathless "I'm sorry about all the rumors that Parkinson spread. Just to let you know, I know you didn't do it". I gave him a hug and replied "Thanks". "What did Snape do after Moody took you?" Padma asked. "Oh, took 10 house points from Slytherin and I have a detention tomorrow. Anyway, I got to go. See you two around!"

I smiled and linked my arm in Padma's. Even if the entire Hogwarts had turned its back on me, I still had a few people on my side who I knew I could rely on.
