Ashton just broke up with his girlfriend and is taking it hard. Luke sings him a little song to help him through.

Luke's P.O.V.

I opened my eyes wearily as a repetitive knocking sound woke me up.

I literally rolled off the bed and walked downstairs, yawning and rubbing my eyes.

I opened the front door and saw my best friend standing there.

He smiled up at me. "Hi."

"Ashton what the fuck are you doing here? It's three in the morning." I sighed, letting him in. It was raining after all, I couldn't let him stay out there.

He walked past me and stood in front of my fireplace. He rubbed his hands up and down his arms. "Madison and I broke up a few minutes ago."

"Oh." I was surprised. They were always so good together. "What happened?"

"She found someone better." He looked at the ground. "It's cool though, I've kinda had someone else on my mind anyways."

I bit my lip ring. "Wait right there. I got something for you."

I ran upstairs and pulled my guitar out. I ran back downstairs and stood in front of Ashton. He looked at the guitar.

"Oh, did you write a new song?" He was referring to my hobby, song writing.

I nodded, deciding not to tell him this one was actually about him.

I strummed the strings, thinking of the lyrics. (Heartbreak boy, adapted version🔽i made this up as i was typing ok sorry ik its shit but forgive me cuz u love me)

"I dedicate this song to you, the one who never sees the truth, that I can take away your hurt, heartbreak boy." I kept my eyes on the guitar, scared to look at Ashton.

"I'm right here, when are you gunna realize that I'm your cure, you can be with me now but I'm stuck in the friendzone again and again."

Ashton got up, but motioned for me to keep playing. He returned a moment later, holding his little drumming box he had left at my house. He sat down on it and drummed to the beat of my guitar.

I smiled and kept singing.

"It's so frustrating, she's no good for you. I dedicate this song to you, the one who never sees the truth that I can take away your hurt, heartbreak boy."

He was grinning widely now, banging happily on his box. It made me laugh as I sang.

"And that's all I have so far." I said, putting my guitar down.

"That's amazing." He beamed. (aw thank u ashton <3) I smiled up at him. "Um, actually it was about someone I know."

"Really? Who?" He asked.

"You."

He froze.

"All those times you called me to talk about your day with Madison, I wrote down some lyrics, 'cause I felt you belonged with me instead." I admitted, staring at the ground.

"You're just a little bit out of my limit. It's been two years now, and I'm screwing that all up." I laughed. "Let's start over."

I looked at him. "Hi, I'm Luke and I really really really really really like you."

I stuck out my hand.

He stared at it. Then slowly took it and looked up at me.

"Hey, I'm Ashton. You were the one I was thinking about. Wanna date?" He flashed me his dimples.

I was taken aback, but grinned when I found my words.

"Simple, but effective. Sure."

He pulled me into him, making us both fall off the cajun.

"You have no idea how many days I wished I was beside you." I admitted sheepishly.

"Madison sleeps alone, I don't want to go home. I wish I was in your bed." He told me, smiling.

I helped him up. "Let's make that wish come true."
