Baby Luke

Ashton's phone vibrated in his pocket and he quickly silenced it before the teacher heard.

When it was safe to do so, he took it out and viewed the text from his mom.

Hey honey, your father and I have something important to tell you when you get home.

He typed a quick reply.

What is it?

I'll tell you when you get home.

He rolled his eyes. His parents had a huge flare for the dramatic. It was understandable though, they were both actors.

Sometimes it was hard being the son of two famous celebrities, but it also had it's benefits, like being crazy rich.

Sometimes he acted like a spoiled bitch to people he didn't like so they wouldn't talk to him.

But it had it's downsides too, his parents were always busy, and rarely had time to spend with him.

But he was used to it.

And he had his two best friends, Calum and Michael.

Speaking of, where were those fucktards?

Did they skip class without him again?

Douchefucks, he thought angrily. "Skipping class on me like nuh uh mister, you getcho ass back here and take me with you!"

"Mister Irwin, is there something you'd like to share with the class?" Mr. Craig asked. "Or are you gunna getcho
head back into the lesson?"

Students laughed while Ashton's face burned. Sometimes what he was thinking came out his mouth too.

"Sorry." He said and Mr. Craig returned to the lesson.

After school Ashton met up with Calum and Michael at the bike racks.

"You losers got me in trouble!" Ashton glared, punching Calum's shoulder.

"What, how?" He asked, bewildered.

"Uh...you skipped class and uh...long story." Ashton said.

"Sorry, Mikey got sick and I had to bring him to the nurse." Ashton realized Michael was laying on the ground in front of them.

"I'm dying." He gasped, reaching his arms up to Ashton, who backed away, laughing. "No you creep, how long have you been laying there?"

"Fifteen minutes. I think he got food poisoning." Calum said, helping his friend up.

"That sucks." Ashton sympathized. "Wanna come to my place and relax?"

"Sounds amazing." Michael groaned. "But I should probably get to the ER."

"Yeah, you look a little green." Ashton gave him a quick hug. "Later."

"Bye!"

Ashton walked to the front of the building and waited for his ride.

A few minutes later a black car pulled up and Ashton got in. He was glad his parents sent the least fancy car they own to pick him up. Students tended to give him dirty looks when his chauffer pulled up the the Ferrari.

"Good afternoon Mr. Irwin, good day at school?" The driver asked, pulling out of the school parking lot.

"For the most part." Ashton said. "Hey, do you know what my parents are planning? My mom sent me this text today about it."

"I do, but I'm not allowed to tell." He said, looking at Ashton in the rear view mirror and winking, making Ashton groan.

"Aw c'mon! Please? At least give me a hint." Ashton pleaded but the driver was firm.

They pulled into the long driveway and Ashton hurriedly climbed out.

"Mom, Dad, I'm home! What's the surprise?" He called, dropping his backpack on the floor.

"Come upstairs honey." His mom yelled down.

He eagerly climbed the stairs to see his parents standing in front of a room.

"Well, you know how our publicist is always trying to get us more and more recognized?" His mom asked, putting one hand on the doorknob.

"Yeah?" Ashton said, bouncing up and down a little.

"He gave us this great idea, and, well, we adopted a little boy." His dad said as Mrs. Irwin opened the door to a nursery.

Ashton gasped and walked into the room. It was painted a light green, with a jungle theme. Stuffed giraffes and elephants sat in one corner with blocks and a rocking chair. A crib with a turning mobile was against the far wall.

Little sounds were coming from the crib.

Ashton walked over to it slowly and peered into it.

A tiny baby stared back at him. He had bright blue eyes and blond hair.

"His name is Luke." Ashton's mom said, coming up behind him.

"Surprise." His dad said.

"Luke...can I hold him?" Ashton asked.

"Of course." His mom lifted Luke out of the crib and transferred him to Ashton.

"Hi Lukey, I'm your new brother." Ashton said. Luke stared up at him with wide doe eyes, making Ashton giggle.

"We'll leave you two alone to get to know each other." Mrs. Irwin smiled and left with her husband.

"Uh, wanna play with the toys Lukey?" Ashton asked, walking over to the blocks and animals.

He carefully set Luke down and pulled out a plush elephant.

Luke slapped his tiny hands onto the ground repeatedly, staring at the animal in awe.

"Here, you can play with it." Ashton said, setting the toy down in front of him.

Luke clumsily grabbed it and held it close to him. Ashton grinned. "Want a giraffe?" He grabbed a giraffe and handed it to Luke as well.

Luke dropped the elephant and grabbed the giraffe, hugging it tightly. Then he shuffled over and managed to pick up the elephant again, squeezing both animals tightly.

Ashton kept handing him animals until Luke was completely buried.

"Uh oh." Ashton laughed, removing a monkey so Luke could peer out from under the mountain of toys.

Luke giggled, making Ashton giggle.

"Oh good, you two are getting along." Ashton turned to see his parents at the door, dressed in fancy attire.

"Oh, are you guys going out?" Ashton asked, slightly disappointed.

"Yep, but we'll be back late tonight. You can watch Luke right? The maids can help too."

"It's cool, I got him." Ashton smiled.

"Thanks so much." His dad smiled. "I'm glad you two are bonding."

"Da!" Luke shrieked. He reached his arms up and made grabby hands to his parents.

"Hi baby." Mrs. Irwin said, scooping him up. "You wanna stay here with Ashton?"

"Yas." Luke giggled.

"How much can he say?" Ashton asked, getting up.

"A few words here and there, Ma, Da, yas, the usual. You can teach him your name." Mr. Irwin said, giving Luke a kiss.

Mrs. Irwin handed Luke back to Ashton. "We better go now honey, see you tonight or tomorrow!"

"Bye." Ashton mumbled as they quickly left.

He balanced Luke on his hip and went downstairs to the kitchen.

"Guess it's just you and me buddy." Ashton said, poking Luke's nose.

"De!" Luke copied, grinning.

"Yep." Ashton opened the fridge door and saw it was full of baby food. "Wow, you are going to be so spoiled." Ashton grinned at Luke. "Welcome to the rich life." Luke smiled back shyly and buried his face into Ashton's shoulder.

"You wanna eat one of these?" Ashton pulled out a mixed fruit one. "This is healthy, I think."

He settled Luke into the high chair that was by the table and buckled him in.

Luke pounded his hands on the tray in front of him and kicked his feet. "Dadadadada." He babbled, then giggled.

"You're talkative." Ashton said, opening the baby food and getting out a tiny plastic spoon. "Or do you just like hearing yourself speak?"

"Eek!" Luke cried happily, mimicking Ashton.

"That's what I thought." Ashton spooned some of the food onto the spoon. "Open up!"

Luke just stared at him.

"Like this." Ashton demonstrated. Luke tilted his head to the side.

"Um...not quite." Ashton smiled. He poked Luke's lips with the spoon. Luke gasped and licked at the food, making a face.

"Aw, do you not like it?" Ashton laughed. He gave Luke a little more. Luke cringed and opened his mouth, letting the food slowly fall out and land on the tray.

"Ew." Ashton laughed. "It can't be that bad." He tried some for himself. "Oh god, that is disgusting."

"Ting!" Luke babbled. "Ting ting ting."

Ashton grinned and got an evil idea. He took a spoonful of the food and dumped it onto Luke's head.

Luke gasped. He reached his hand up and grabbed at the food. He stared at it in his hand.

Ashton tried not to smile. "You stare at things al-"

It was Ashton's turn to gasp. Luke shrieked with delight and clapped his messy hands. Ashton looked down at his baby food covered shirt.

"Oh you little..." Ashton grabbed a handful of the food and smeared it across Luke's face.

Luke sneezed. Ashton laughed. Luke wiped his face messily and wiped his hands on Ashton's sleeve.

"Aw man, this shirt was new." Ashton said, pouting. "You're a butt."

Luke giggled and clapped his hands. "Butt!"

"No, don't repeat that!" Ashton gasped, getting up and getting Luke out of the high chair. "You need to get cleaned up."

"Butt!" Luke giggled, running away on unsteady legs.

"Hey! Come back here!" Ashton chased Luke around the living room, both of them getting baby food on the furniture and carpet. "Luke!"

"Butt!"

Ashton finally reached him and picked him up. "Whoa, you smell like an infant, and fruit."

Luke smiled. Ashton smiled back and poked Luke's nose, making Luke hide his face in his hands.

"Okay, let's get you cleaned up." He brought Luke upstairs and sat him on the sink.

He grabbed a towel and got it wet in the sink.

"Okay now, hold still so I can get you clean again before mommy and daddy discover the mess we-you made."

Luke grabbed his toes and leaned forward, sticking his lips out.

"What are you doing that for?" Ashton asked, laughing as he wiped off the food from Luke's hair and face.

"Kiss!" Luke shouted. "Kiss kiss!"

"Wha-h-how do you know that word?" Ashton asked, blushing for some reason.

"Kiss!" Luke said, sticking his lips out again and closing his eyes.

"Um..." Ashton looked around to make sure no one was looking before leaning down and giving Luke a quick kiss.

"There, there's your kiss."

Luke giggled and kicked his feet. "Butt."

"No, no more butts." Ashton lifted him up and set him on the ground.

"Kiss, butt, da da da!" Luke yelled, running down the hallway, tripping, then running again.

Ashton sighed. "I have an idiot baby brother."

"Diot!" Luke grinned up at him, grabbing Ashton's leg with one chubby hand and sucking his thumb with the other.

"No! Ugh, stop copying what I say!" Ashton said, picking him up and bopping his nose. "Bad word."

"Would you like some help there?" Ashton turned to see one of the maids standing there.

"Oh, no, thanks though." Ashton flashed her a smile and she left.

"You're my beebee brudder, not hers." Ashton said, spinning around with Luke, making him squeal with delight before setting the dizzy toddler down.

"Bee." Luke grinned and wrapped his arms around Ashton.

"Oh..." Ashton looked down at him. "Yeah, beebee baby."

"Bee bee beebeebee!" Luke toddled unsteadily up the stairs.

"Whoa, careful!" Ashton ran over and grabbed Luke right before he was about to fall off the steps.

"You silly goose, you gotta be careful on the stairs." Ashton scolded, bringing them back to Luke's room.

"Hm, it's getting kinda late, wanna read a book and get in your jammies?"

Luke just rested his head on Ashton's shoulder.

Ashton walked to the closet and opened it, scanning the tiny baby clothes.

"Wanna wear this?" He asked, pulling down a soft, white onesie.

"Yas." Luke said faintly, sucking on his thumb.

"Okay." Ashton carefully set Luke down and pulled off his outfit, switching it with the onesie. "There we go, all dressed up." Luke smiled sleepily.

Ashton laid him in his crib and covered him with the blanket. "Should we read a story?" He walked to the bookcase and pulled out a fairytales book.

He was halfway through the book when Luke's little snores started filling the room.

Ashton smiled, putting the book away.

He was about to leave when Luke sat up in bed and started crying.

"What's the matter Lukey?" Ashton asked at the doorway.

Luke just cried and reached his hands out.

Ashton walked over and scooped him up. "What's the matter silly?" He kissed Luke's soft hair.

Luke just sniffed and snuggled down into Ashton's arms.

Ashton walked aimlessly around the room for half an hour, until Luke fell asleep again.

He carefully set Luke back down in the crib but the baby's bright blue eyes shot open and tears welled up. "N-no." He whimpered, sitting up.

Ashton sighed and leaned over the side of the crib. "What's wrong baby?"

Luke reached up and grabbed a fistful of Ashton's hair.

"Ow." Ashton said, gently prying Luke's fingers off.

"No! No no no!" Luke cried, grabbing on with both hands.

"Ow, ouch, what Lukey?" Ashton said from his uncomfortable position.

"Bee!" Luke cried. "Beebeebee!"

"I don't understand." Ashton said gently.

"Beebee! Bee! Ashy!" Luke sobbed.

"Oh, you-you said my name." Ashton said, astounded.

"Ashy! Beebee!" Luke sniffed.

"Yes...I'm your brother, but you're the baby." Ashton said. Luke looked up at him with big eyes. "A-Ashy." He hiccuped, reaching his arms up.

Ashton looked around. "I'm tired of carrying you though Lukey."

"Ashy!" Luke wailed, kicking his footie covered feet.

Ashton bit his lip, then climbed into the crib. "Here, I'll stay here with you." Ashton said.

Luke was beaming. He grabbed his blanket and laid down beside Ashton.

Ashton smiled and hugged him. "Good night Lukey."

"N' Ashy." Luke mumbled sleepily.

He meant to climb out as soon as Luke fell asleep, but Luke turned around and wrapped his arms around Ashton's neck. Ashton blushed and smiled.

And that was how they both fell asleep.
