Sparkle Brighter Than A Star, Sunshine 💙

Summary: Where Harry and Louis have conversations with fans, but the fans don't know it's them till the end. Why? Because they have a hunch that they would be more open to someone random instead of someone who means a lot to them. So the fear of being judged by someone they care about is lower.

Disclaimer: Some of you don't have your pronouns in your bios/descriptions so I'm just going to use any. Hope that's alright. If not, please comment or message me and I'll change it right away.

Louis watched as Harry adjusted the laptop and webcam with a concentrated look on his face. Louis laid on the couch in a pale blue sweater- that belonged to Harry- paired with a random pair of sweatpants. He admired his husband fondly, a smile gracing his features. Louis didn't deserve such a perfect human being.

"Bub?" He heard Harry's voice. Louis blinked, escaping his staring to look at Harry. Harry smirked. "Staring at me?"

Louis blushed and hid his face in the pillow he hugged to his chest. No matter how many years they've been together, he would always blush at Harry's pet names or remarks. Harry laughed softly and slotted behind his smaller husband, pulling him snug against his chest. Louis hummed contently and burrowed into Harry's warm hold. He gently ran his fingers over the curly-haired lad's tattoos.

Harry threaded his fingers through Louis' feathery brown hair, the laptop and recording set up abandoned. He settled for silently cuddling with his sweet sassy angel while soft background music echoed around the dim room.

"Hazza?" Louis mumbled tiredly, looking up from where he nuzzled into Harry's tummy. Harry smiled and brushed Louis' fringe out of his eyes, cupping his face gently with one hand while the other rubbed his back.

"Baby?"

Louis blushed again and nuzzled back into Harry's stomach to hide it. "I love you."

Harry kissed his thumb and pressed it to Louis's forehead. It was something they used to do during One Direction's time when they couldn't kiss on stage. Though even though they were out now, it reminded them of how they still managed to hold one another close during probably one of the hardest times in their lives. Louis loves them.

"I love you too Lou."

With that, Louis smiled so widely that little crinkles appeared by his eyes. He settled back onto Harry and ended up falling asleep letting his breath even out smoothly.

Harry cherished every moment with Louis, but a few he would cherish forever would be the ones where a sleepy Louis becomes a sappy one too. When the latter is sleepy, he tends to do before his mind can even process don't (though normal Louis is like that too, just in a different sense). But Harry doesn't mind, not at all. Because even though Louis puts up a sassy confident attitude, the small moments they'd have at night together were ones that meant the absolute world to Harry.

-

"Okay, take two!" Harry cheered lamely, finally getting the laptop set up and webcam. He sat next to his husband and took his hand, linking their fingers together happily. Louis leaned forward to type in the name of the website.

(I'm just making up an app since I don't wanna use Omegle lmao)

Louis made sure the camera was off before clicking the green button to connect with the first person. The app was one that was fairly popular. It was for people to rant if needed without being judged, to let out emotions that have been bottled up for too long. You click the yellow button if you need to rant, or the blue button if you want to listen. If you pick blue, the app will pair you with someone who picked yellow, and vice versa. Louis and Harry have been using the app for ages, they always loved when connected with some fans (because of the hashtags you can enter) because they've done so much for them, the least they can do is listen.

"First person," Harry smiled, writing down the Instagram user that popped up. A special feature is that you can leave your social media if you want, so the boys plan of following everyone they talk to. "@oops_hi_kevin."

Louis pursed his lips and shook his head sadly muttering the word 'Kevin' under his breath multiple times. Two screens appeared, one being theirs and the second being the other person. Dark curls with strips of blue tumbled down their shoulders gracefully and wide hazel eyes darted from the screen to a flashing cell phone, most likely being notifications.

Harry grinned a little and nibbled on his bottom lip as he and his husband waited for the pretty fan to begin talking.

"Uh," they started slowly. Louis immediately picked up on the deep wave laced into their speech- as if they just woke up- but rather calm anyway. "Hey? I'm Jemma. Ironic, I know, the same name as Harry's sister but spelled differently, spelled with a J instead of a G. It's been a hot minute since I've done one of these since I had my best friend to rant to, but ever since he got a girlfriend he's been around less often and-" The dark-skinned teen cut off abruptly and chuckled a little. "Sorry, you didn't come here to hear my life story."

Louis frowned and leaned forward to type in the little chat box stuffed into the top right corner.

Of course I did! Bold of you to assume that! ;) But feel free to keep talking xx

Harry smiled at Louis's message and kissed the man's cheek before focusing back on the stressed teen who laughed a bit and continued rambling.

They picked at their chipped blue and green nail polish. "Because of that, I've been quite lonely for the past few weeks and just need to rant a bit." Jemma paused with a deep sigh before continuing. "Now that I think about it, it seems kind of stupid. I just have an urge to make people as happy as I possibly can. When there are dishes that need to be washed, sometimes my Mom or Dad does it, and I can't help but feel bad that I didn't help. I start to get anxious and upset with myself even though I've been told multiple times that I don't need to come help. Just last night I went out with a friend and got pissed off my ass, so she stayed sober to drive us home and pay for the drinks. I felt like a shit friend because we intentionally went so I could drive her home and she could get wasted since she had a really crappy day. I feel really selfish about that and Charlotte- my friend, we've got all the sibling names here- told me it was okay and I looked like I needed it anyway but I still can't help but feel bad. I knew she was depending on me to let her let loose but I couldn't help myself."

Louis hummed amusedly at the name Charlotte, what a coincidence. Charlotte and Jemma. Either way, he felt bad for the teen. They sound like they've been through hell and back and the man means it when he says he wishes he could do more for them.

Jemma chatted for a bit longer before calming down and letting out a long sigh. "Thank you for listening, I really really appreciate it."

Harry smiled widely, extremely happy. He reached forwards and hovered the mouse over the 'turn on the camera?' button. "Ready Loubear?"

Louis nodded eagerly.

Harry clicked it, his and Louis' face flickering into view and their living room coming into view as well, which was their couch and a large window in the back. Jemma gasped, slapping their hands to their mouth in shock. "Oh my god," she whispered.

"Hey love," Louis smiled, waving at the blue-haired teenager. "Doing alright now?"

Jemma nodded frantically, wiping away a few stray tears. "I'm doing absolutely great, now," they laughed nervously.

Louis and Harry talked to Jemma for a while, joking and laughing about while even discussing a little more on the topic of Jemma's problem.

Eventually, they hung up with a promise of a follow and moved on the next person.

"I loved her, she was stunning and so sweet," Harry chirped, smiling like an idiot. "I love our fans."

"Our fans are the best family and there's no room for argument," Louis agreed.

"No lies detected."

Louis clicked the blue button again and Harry scribbled down the username ( @partixularlouis )

This fan was a girl with beautiful dark skin and curly black hair. Her large green eyes were obvious but they were dull-- lifeless.

She didn't say anything for a while. Harry glanced at Louis worriedly and saw that his husband had a similar emotion written across his face. Distant screaming and yelling started stirring in the background. The girl looked behind her before rolling her eyes lightly and sniffling.

"Um, hey. I'm Katie. My issue probably isn't going to sound serious since it's so common but it's tearing me up inside and I don't know what to do, so I'm here. Well- I feel empty. Like I've been stripped of all my emotions. My friends keep things from me and have terrible inside jokes now. I wish time would pause-- stop for a few moments. Just to give me time to get myself together. I don't even know why I'm still alive- scratch that of course I do. One Direction's saved me multiple times. But realistically there's nothing worth living for anymore. Societies shit, this planet is shit, my parents can't go ten fucking minutes in a room together without having a go at the other, I- I- just don't know what to do anymore."

"I wish I could talk to someone, but my anxiety flies to levels I didn't even know existed, which makes me back down. I can't hold a proper conversation with a friend without stuttering. I wish I could fix myself, fix my shitty personality. But I'm stuck like this, at least for now."

Louis didn't know what to say. He didn't know how many more fans he could talk to without dissolving into a puddle of tears. Harry noticed this and took Louis' hand in his own, running his thumb over the back of the man's hand.

Harry leaned over to turn on their camera. He waved with a cute grin at the dumbstruck girl.

"How the actual fu-" Katie broke off, not knowing what to say. She sputtered out apologies. "I'm sorry, I- wow I can't believe I was talking to you guys. What- oh god- what am I supposed to say?"

Louis laughed a little. "You're fine lovely, don't worry."

Katie just looked more stressed by those words. Her emerald green eyes shimmered with unshed tears. Harry and Louis spent a few minutes talking and reassuring her before hanging up with another promise to follow.

Part 2 will probably be up sometime in the next few weeks, I'm going away for a week (just with my family, still being safe and wearing a mask!) so I probably won't update then but maybe the week after. I'm really sorry this took forever, I rewrote it like three times because I didn't like it but ended up deciding this was decent. Hope you're okay with it :)
