Chapter 3
When Harry returns his book, I ask the librarian at the front desk if I could borrow a few books. "Do you have a library card?" she asks, no judgement in her voice. I look at her for a second before realizing I didn't answer her question.
"Yes, I do." I say feeling around in my pockets until I find it in my small but useful wallet. "Here it is." I say handing it to her. She studies it carefully before entering the number in on her computer.
"Yes you may borrow books, movies, or you could get on the computer. I think you will find everything just fine." She says to me before looking to her computer silently dismissing me.
I look around for a few minutes and someone bumps my back. "Sorry Louis." I forgot I came here with Harry. I nod accepting his apology.
"I'll be back, I have to find a loo." I tell him. I look around for a second so I'm not wandering aimlessly around this huge library.
He looks confused, "But you are a Lou." he chuckles. Now I'm confused.
"I mean a bathroom."
"Oh, okay." he looks down at the floor then back to my eyes. "I should be over in this section." Harry points to the teen fiction area.
I need to ask him for his phone number. We could be friends or something.
I find the bathroom after about two minutes. There is this creep that keeps staring at me so I'll just wait for him to leave.
Minutes later I find Harry with three books, 'After We Collided', 'Pride and a Prejudice', and 'The Fault in Our Stars'. Though I've only read two of three, they sound pretty interesting.
"Hey, Lou." he smiles a beautiful dimpled smile. He runs his fingers through his long, unruly hair.
I look at him and grab Pride and Prejudice from his arm. And quickly look through it. I look into his eyes, "You know, I've read this book a thousand times. Want me to tell you what happens?" He grabs it back from me.
"No, I think I'm good." he looks at me offering a small laugh. I love his accent. It is so thick and lovely.
I should ask him for his phone number. I'm sure he wouldn't mind. "What's your phone number?" I shyly ask.
He shoves his hand down into his pocket and pulls out his phone. As he's giving me the number, I type it in on my dial pad and save it. "Thanks, man." I say still looking down at my phone.
We both leave the library and I take one last look before we exit. Saying our goodbyes i walk towards home, forgetting where I was going before I ran into the curly haired boy.
