"Do you have a bucket list?" Louis asked, sitting beside Harry in the cool grass, looking up at the stars.
"I dunno... I haven't like.. officially made one ya know? But there's things I wanna do before I die I guess" Harry responded, turning onto his side to face him.
"Well, what things?" Louis asked curiously.
Harry loved their late night talks, he loved everything about their relationship though really. "Well mostly just to fall in love.. everything else doesn't matter too much, if I have someone to be with, I'm happy."
"Wowwww you're such a sap" Louis said sarcastically and rolled his eyes, but then his tone softened. "Well. Have you achieved that yet?"
Harry pursed his lips and nodded with a giggle. "Mhmm... I love you lou."
Louis smiled widely, "I love you too. So much."
"Glad it's mutual, or that could've been really awkward" Harry laughed, he knew Louis loved him though, they'd told each other many many times.
"How much do you love me?" Louis asked, and Harry's eyes went wide with confusion.
"Depends on what you're about to ask for." Harry sassed.
Louis chuckled at him, "Why don't you move out with me? I've been wanting to for so long, we can go far away, just the two of us. Live by the ocean."
"Oh right.. your home by the seaside." Harry smiled, he'd never seen it, but he knew Louis had lived there. "You should sell it, it's been a couple years hasn't it?"
"Yeah, about that long. I came here to meet someone actually. It gets so lonely out there... and now, well now I've met you." Louis smiled.
"Well then why haven't you sold it and bought a home out here?"Harry asked curiously. "You can't stay in that motel forever.
"Well it's a big place, too big for one person... but it would be such a perfect place for the two of us. It has a lot of sentimental value too. Can't really sell it anyways." He explained.
"Right, gotcha. And of all people you want me to come?" Harry quirked an eyebrow playfully.
"More than anybody else." Louis said.
Harry looked at him, trying to go through the logistics in his head. "What about my job?"
"We'll figure it out baby. We can make it work." Louis said, with a hopeful look in his eyes.
Harry grinned, he always had loved adventure. "Okay!" He giggled, "Let's do it. Just you and me."
Louis nodded "You and me. Forever."
"Forever." Harry repeated, his heart full.
---
"Is that it?" Harry asked, pointing to a house near the shore, there weren't any other houses for miles.
"Nope, not that one. We've still got a way to go." Louis replied as Harry drove, drumming his fingers on the steering wheel.
"Ugh it's so farrrr" he whined, making Louis laugh.
"Well it'll be worth it. I promise." Louis assured him.
"It better be."
---
"This is it?" Harry asked as they stepped out of the car hours later. He looked confused as he did a double take of their surroundings.
"Yep, this is it. Home." Louis smiled.
"I thought you said it was a house...? Louis we're on a deserted beach."
"Never said it was a house, only said it was a home." Louis replied.
"So you lived here?" Harry asked cautiously as he followed Louis to the shoreline.
"Still do." Louis grinned, "You said you wanted to be together forever right?"
Harry nodded, biting his lip.
"Okay. Do you trust me?"
"Of course I do." He responded, his voice a bit quiet as Louis grabbed a rope and a large rock, that had been placed all too neatly at the base of the shore.
"Alright then come tie this to your ankle."
"Louis what?" Harry was panicking a little.
"Harry just do it okay?" Louis replied. "It's the only way we can be together, forever."
Harry looked at Louis' pleading eyes, and that's all it took. "Okay.." he said softly, tying the rope to his ankle and carrying the heavy rock.
Harry walked out into the water. He was nearly head deep when Louis told him to throw the rock ahead of him, so he did, his body following behind it and into the deep water.
On his way down he caught glimpse of a body, half disintegrated but still in tact enough to recognize.
Louis.
