(Lapis' POV)

After that... incident with Peri, I decided to relax outside. I know, I said it was getting annoying having to come out here, but the sky really is beautiful.

I was staring at the sky when I decided I might want to walk around a bit more, meet some new people. I just got up when I heard Pearl call my name.

Great. What does she want?

She walks up to me, grabs my shoulders and shoves me back down on the sand.

"Hey! What are you doing?!"

She sat down next to me and said, "Alright. Spill."

I was confused. "Spill?"

"I know you lied to us. Steven told me everything."

Steven?! He said he wouldn't say anything!

"What does that have to do with me?"

She face palmed, "Stop acting dumb! I know you kissed Peridot!"

(Steven's POV)

I was just making myself some soup when I heard Lapis scream my name from outside. I thought it was an emergency, so I got Amethyst.

"Amethyst, watch this soup! And don't burn the house down!" I yelled, running through the door.

"Okie, dokie Ste-man. YO GARNET!"

I ran over to Lapis and Pearl death staring each other on the beach.

"What's wrong, Lapis?"

"You know exactly what's wrong, Steven! You said you wouldn't tell anyone, why did you tell Pearl?!"

Oh... That's what's going on.

"Uhm... I, uh..."

"Steven."

"Uuuuh..."

"Steven! Just- you know what, I don't care! Just go back inside and make sure Peri still isn't stressed."

I wanted to go back inside but I couldn't. I sat down next to them.

"Steven... We really can't get along right now... Are you sure you want to stay out here? I mean it's just-"

"Never fear, Steven's here! I can make you two bond again! We just need to go do something together! As friends!"

They glare at each other and turn back to me.

"Or... Maybe not."
