Spoiler Warning: Spoilers for "Beta Part 1" Continue at your own risk (even though the spoilers really don't matter and don't really correlate to the story much i guess)

After Lapis dropped Greg off at his car wash, and Steven back at his house, she flew to the barn. While she flew, all she could think about was Jasper.

She landed and walked inside the barn, seeing a little green gem typing away on her device.

Peridot looked up to see Lapis standing at the entrance. She grinned and shot up, levitating her tablet next to her. "Oh, oh! Lapis!!" She picked up a spoon that was on the floor next to her and ran to the blue gem, setting it back down on the floor in front of her.

"You'll get a kick outta this!! Watch, watch!"

She levitated the spoon a little to the right and dropped it again. "Did you see?! Was it cool? Did you--" She stopped when she noticed the sad look on Lapis' face.

"Hey. Are you ok?"

Lapis nodded slowly. "Yeah..." She walked in the other direction. Peridot could tell there was something wrong. She ran in front of Lapis, stopping her.

"No! I know something's wrong! Tell me what's wrong. I-I can help!"

"Peridot, I--"

"Lapis, if something is bothering you, I want you to talk to me. I know this is not like me, but I'm letting you talk to me so I can help!"

Lapis sighed, "It's Jasper... She showed up on the ship and asked me to fuse again."

"Oh." She grabbed her tablet and typed something in quickly, before setting it down and stepping closer to Lapis.

"She told me she wanted to be Malachite again, and that she was the only one who could handle my power. Peridot..."

She hugged the Peridot close.
"She called me a monster!"

"Lapis! You are not a monster. You shouldn't listen to what Jasper says, anyway! I thought you were done with her."

"I thought so, too..."

Peridot hummed. She thought about what she think might make Lapis smile. She seperated from Lapis and ran into the corner of the barn, where a pile of objects were resting. In that pile was her alien plush.

Peridot picked up her alien plush and ripped off the tie, putting it on her neck. She gathered some instruments scattered inside the barn. Using her ferrokinesis, she lifted all the instruments into the air. "One-Gem metal band???" She blew into a harmonica, dropping all the instruments around her. She chuckled, "...oops."

Lapis snorted and laughed at the little gem. "You're crazy."

Peridot smiled victoriously. Lapis went over and kissed Peridot's gem. "Thanks for listening..."

She picked up a tambourine and started hitting it, making noise.

"Ooh ooh!" Peridot picked up a triangle and went along with Lapis. "We're making music!"

She started to go on a different beat, now singing quietly, "Life and death and love and birth and peace, and--" (ayy nice throwback)

"What's that?"

"A song that Steven taught me!"

"Hm."

Peridot gasped, "I have an idea! Lets make music, but instead sounds, let's use things!"

"Uh, okay!"

"What'll we call it?"

"Uh... Meep Morp?"

"'Meep Morp'?"

"Yeah."

"...that's the PERFECT NAME!!!"
