I woke up on the couch with Penelope, I was spooning her, I ran a hand through her hair and tried to comfort her as well as I could in her sleep.

I could tell she was having bad dreams, her face looked stressed and pale.

I didn't know that Max and Kelley was watching me, Kelley got tears in her eyes and hugged Max' side.

Max kissed the top of Kelley's head and smiled at the scene.

Max pulled Kelley back to their room to sleep longer, Kelley had only gotten up to check on Penelope.

But she saw that I was taking care of her.

When Penelope woke up I ordered breakfast for all four of us to be sent to our room.

None of us wanted to go down there and be in public.

Max and Kelley joined Penelope and I as we ate our food on the coffee table and watched tv.

"You like frozen huh?" I ask her as she had replayed the frozen movie for the third time this morning.

"I love Elsa!" Penelope shouted excitedly and I laughed at her.

"Penelope, what did we talk about? No shouting" Kelley said and Penelope smiled sheepishly.

"Come eat, we got room service to bring breakfast" I say and the two sit down.

"How did you sleep?" I ask. Max looked somewhat well rested, Kelley looked more calm and relaxed.

"Good, thank you for taking her last night" Kelley said and put her hand comforting on my shoulder and I smiled in response.

"Always, she's a good cuddler" I say and tickle Penelope and Kelley and Max laughs as her shrieks echoed the room.

Max and Kelley ate and after thirty minutes, multiple knocks on our door interrupted the peace.

All of us looked at each other in worry.

Max stood up and went to the door, he looked through the peephole and Kelley motioned for Penelope to come to her and she held her as she did.

I raised from my seat and stood a few steps behind Max.

He opened the door without saying anything. "Max!" I half shout in disbelief and I'm about to pull him back but then I see all the guys standing in the door way as he opens it widely.

"Fucking hell, guys" I cursed and they cheered and brought me and Max into a big group hug.

I laughed and tried to hug everyone. "Nat!" Penelope shouted with a tremble in her voice.

"It's okay, P" I call out to her and laugh.

"It's Max and Nat's friends" Kelley tells her. I smile as the guys release us and gives us a proper hug also to Kelley and baby P.

Lando brings me into a tight hug and I inhale his scent in relief and laugh a little.

"Fuck you guys scared me" I say out of breath and Lando laughs before kissing the side of my head.

"We didn't mean to, but you didn't come to breakfast" Lando said and pulled away.

"No, we didn't want to deal with the public" I say and frown a little bit then Daniel smash my head into his chest as he pulls me into a bear hug.

"Ow" I say in pain as my nose got squashed. "Careful, Daniel! She's hurt" Lando says and pull Daniel's arms open.

"Oh, I'm so sorry! Right the whole camera thing, I'm sorry" Daniel winced and apologized.

I flipped him off. "It's alright, my face is just a little sore" I say and joke a little.

Pierre hugs me tightly and I swear! I saw Lando clench his jaw and his gaze harden as he stared holes into Pierre's back.

"Mini Max, come here" George said and pulled me into his side and and side hugged me and ruffled my hair a little.

I laughed and swatted his hands away. "Screw you, Russell" I say and shake my head.

"If only you'd let me" Russell retorts with a laugh and Lando comes up behind me.

"I think you should watch your mouth, Russell" Lando said and nodded to Max who was glaring at George while holding Penelope in his arms.

I hit George's chest and rolled my eyes. "You're an idiot!"

Lando glared at George and he slowly back away. "Wait" I say, but George already moved away.

"What" I question. Why did he leave?

I turn around and see Lando correct his glaring to me and change his gaze to a softer one.

"Lando, you're scaring our friends" I say scolding him.

"They'll be fine" Lando says and shows me to Lewis, who is talking to Kelley. He hugs me as well and we talk a little and Lando stays with me.

Soon enough I expected the guys to want answers, but they didn't. I think on some level they knew how fucked up we were, and how fucked up our family relations are.

They didn't have to ask to know we had father issues.

A mindset like Max and I's didn't just come from hard training. It came from being punished by your loved one, when you didn't have that winner mindset, that adrenaline, that anger.

"Nat, Max, we have a meeting in ten" Kai suddenly appeared and said.

I nodded and hugged Kai. "Lando, this is Kai, my assistant/trainer/media person and best friend" I introduced the two properly to each other.

"Kai, this is Lando Norris, F1 driver from McLaren" I say and the two shake hands. Lando stares intensely at Kai and he laughs a little awkwardly in response.

"Did you talk to Ryan yet?" I ask Kai and he nods.

"Yeah, he understands. He's fine with us being here, he told me to say he misses you and he can't wait for you to have dinner with us again. But really he just wants to party with you" Kai says with a laugh and I shake my head.

"Well, tell him I will soon. And that I miss him too of course" I say and smile.

I could see Lando put the pieces together and his face instantly softened. He understood Kai and Ryan were together.

"Are you two very close? If yes he can stay for the meeting I suppose" Kai says and I nod and turn to Lando expecting him to decline.

"I'd love to, I meant it when I said I'm here for you" Lando says and smiled a bit.

I couldn't help but smile a bit and Kai looked back and forth between our smiles.

"They are so doing it" Kai mumbled as he walked away.

"So, when is your next race—ufhh" I groan as all air is pushed out of my lungs.

Penelope ran straight into my stomach and I groaned. Lando bursted out laughing and I kneeled to her.

"Well, hello to you too, honey" I say with a small groan and try to breathe.

"I want up" Penelope says and out her hands in the air. I stand up and pull her with me, she wraps her legs around my waist as I place her on my hip.

"P, this is Lando, my good friend" I introduce and Lando smiles and playfully shakes her hand.

"Well hello there" Lando says and Penelope giggles at him. I smile as I see him do playful faces to her.

"Are you Aunties man?" Penelope asks with her adorable puppy eyes. "Not yet no" Lando says and I smack his chest with the back of my hand.

"Lando!" I scold and glare at him. Lando smiles sheepishly and Penelope giggles once again.

"Guys we're on" Kai says and I put Penelope down. Lando nods at me to go and he sits in the opposite couch with Penelope.

We sit in the other in front of the screen.

"Hello guys, Christian and I had a meeting today" Scott starts.

"There's no major damage to the teams, but the public is waiting for a statement from the two of you, especially after the camera incident last night" Christian says and we nod.

"Are you two willing to make a statement. You don't have to talk about the past or the leaks, just inform your fans and the public that you're fine and dealing with a lot" Scott asks.

Max and I look at each other and I bite my lip. We had a decision to make and if we chose wrong it would be a forever thing on the internet.

"Is there any news on Jos?" I ask and Max looks at me.

"There's put a restraining order against him, regarding all four of you. Max, Nathalie, Kelley and Penelope and your sister Victoria and her family. Citroen is still deciding what to do with him, since you're racing in the same races, they have a decision to make too" Scott answers.

"But once again, we can do a lot of damage control about this leak, if you make a public statement" Christian reminds us. He wanted an answer.

"Give us a minute" I say and mute the call, so they couldn't hear what we discussed.

I turn to Max. "What do you want to do? How do you want to handle this?" Max asks me.

"We're public famous persons, we have to make a statement. We can't get out of it, but if we just avoid the topic and show that we're fine and coping, that would be enough right? The press will forget about this in a few weeks if we don't react to it right?" I say hopeful.

Max thinks a bit and Kelley is getting anxious. "If I can put something into this decision, I don't want what happened last night to happen again. We're lucky we didn't have Penelope with us" Kelley says and I nod agreeing with her.

It was pure luck that Max had gotten her into the hotel before the major crowd.

"So?" I ask Max. He sighs and looks at me.

"Alright, we make a statement" Max says and sighs in defeat.
