✷ 003: Tamed Brows And False Lashes.

"Lando, sit still!" Thalia laughed, her voice full of playful exasperation. Sat comfortably on the boy's lap, her legs draped over him as she tried to maintain her balance.

The tweezers in her grip glinted under the warm overhead light, catching a brief shimmer. She was focused on the task at hand, carefully plucking and shaping his eyebrows.

Lando squirmed slightly, a mix of discomfort and amusement flickering across his features. "It hurts!" He protested, his hands resting on her hips as if to steady her, his eyes half-closed in resignation.

Her fingers were gentle yet precise as she worked, her brow furrowed in concentration. "Just suck it up, I'm almost done." She suppressed a grin, quickly giving him a peck on the nose before returning to her task. She could feel his warm breath on her neck as he sighed, a reluctant smile spreading across his lips.

As Thalia carefully plucked another stray hair, Lando winced slightly, his grip tightening on her.

"Just a few more," She promised, her voice soothing. "Your eyebrows have never looked better."

"I thought they looked fine just as they were." The McLaren driver subtly argued.

"Uh... no, they were awful." Thalia replied with a suppressed grin. "No offense."

"I'm taking all the offense." His grip loosened around her, causing Thalia to pull away and laugh as he was now acting stubborn.

She shook her head, her laughter filling the cozy room. "You're such a baby," She teased, her hands covering his face playfully. "Come on, just a little more."

Lando sighed dramatically, rolling his eyes. "Fine, but if you mess up, I'm not talking to you ever again." He warned, though his tone was light-hearted.

Thalia couldn't help but smile at his antics. "Sure..." She agreed, adjusting her position slightly to get a better angle. She continued her work, her movements swift and sure.

"You know, you should be grateful. Not every guy gets this kind of special treatment."

Lando snorted, shifting slightly beneath her. "Right, because not every guy has a girlfriend who's obsessed with perfect eyebrows."

"Obsessed?—Lando Norris, I just have standards."

Lando grinned up at her, his eyes twinkling with mischief. "High standards, apparently. Are you sure you're almost done?"

Thalia inspected his eyebrows critically, tilting her head to the side. "Almost," she said, her voice softening.

As she plucked the last few hairs, Lando's expression shifted from discomfort to a kind of serene acceptance. He watched her with a mixture of admiration and affection, taking in the way her brow furrowed in concentration, the slight purse of her lips as she focused on her task.

"There," Thalia announced finally, sitting back to admire her handiwork. "Perfect."

Lando raised an eyebrow, a playful smirk forming on his lips. "Do I look beautiful?"

Thalia laughed, running a hand through his hair. "For once, yeah," She grinned playfully, her hands reaching for a compact mirror, soon opening it up to show him his reflection.

"Not bad..." He eyed her suspiciously, examining his newly tamed eyebrows that cleaned up his look completely.

Lando's hands moved from her hips to her waist, pulling her closer. "Thank you," He mumbled, his voice dropping to a more serious tone.

Thalia smiled, leaning in to kiss him softly. "You're welcome," She whispered against his features.

The moment lingered, the warmth of their connection filling the room. Thalia felt a deep sense of contentment, happy to be there with him, sharing these simple, intimate moments.

It was in these quiet times that she felt closest to him, when their world shrank to just the two of them, away from the chaos of his racing career and the constant demands of their lives.

She pulled back slightly, resting her forehead against his. "So... while we're here..." Her voice trailed off as she reached toward her makeup bag.

Lando raised a brow. "Yeah?" He questioned, suspicion creeping into his voice.

"Well! Since you let me do your eyebrows, why not let me do a full face of makeup on you?" She smiled wide, ripping off the bandaid and suggesting her thoughts.

"Just for fun."

And with that, Lando groaned as he threw his head back dramatically. "Come on, that's a bit much..." He was hesitant. "Don't you think?"

Scoffing in response, Thalia's eyebrows furrowed.

"Right. So, you hate me?"

Lando stared at her for a long moment, his jaw dropped as he should've just expected her to say that.

"You know I don't!" He argued, a laugh escaping his lips as she quirked a brow and crossed her arms.

"Do I know?"

"You're impossible." Lando bursted into giggles. "Alright, fine!" He gave in, agreeing to her request of doing his makeup.

Thalia's face lit up. "YAY!" She laughed, clapping in excitement. "You're gonna look so gorgeous." She quickly started pulling out various makeup products, her enthusiasm infectious.

Lando watched her with a mixture of amusement and apprehension. "I can't believe I'm letting you do this," He muttered into the palms of his hands.

Thalia laughed, leaning in to kiss his cheek. "I can't either." She grinned, beginning to pump a couple squirts of primer.

As she began applying the product to his face, Lando tried to relax, closing his eyes and trusting her completely. Thalia worked with swift, practiced movements, applying the base with the confidence of someone who had done this many times before.

"Shit," Sh mumbled to herself, her brow furrowing in concentration.

"What?" Lando opened one eye, questioning her sudden stop.

"You don't match my foundation shade," Thalia explained, trying her best to suppress a laugh as he was a little tanner than her.

Lando sighed, his eye closing again. "I don't even know what that means," He admitted, resigned to his fate. Deciding that he didn't even want to know what she was doing to his face, preferring to trust her expertise.

Thalia bit her lip, thinking quickly, soon deciding that her liquid contour would suffice. Grabbing the product, she began blending it into his skin, carefully adjusting the shade to match his complexion.

She worked with meticulous precision, ensuring the contour blended seamlessly. Lando's skin took on a smooth, even tone, and Thalia felt a surge of satisfaction at her improvisation.

Satisfied with the base, Thalia moved on to the eyes. She chose a soft, natural palette that would enhance his features without being too dramatic.

Carefully, she began applying eyeliner, trying her best to make the winged tip complement his eyes. Lando remained still, a curious yet resigned expression on his face as he felt the gentle strokes of the eyeliner pencil.

Thalia then reached for her eyelash curler, the shiny metal tool catching the light as she pulled it out. Lando opened his eyes and instinctively pushed it away, his eyebrows furrowing in confusion.

"What is that exactly?" He asked. "I've seen you use it, and I don't understand how it doesn't hurt—It looks painful."

Thalia tried her best not to laugh in his face, her focus unwavering. "It's just to curl your lashes," She explained, her tone soothing. "It doesn't hurt, I promise."

Lando eyed the tool in her hand. "Are you sure?"

"Absolutely," Thalia reassured him. "Just trust me. Do you trust me?"

"No, not really." He bit down a laugh, causing her to flick his ear.

"Do you trust me?" She repeated herself.

"Fully." Lando properly replied, earning him a smile from Thalia in return before he went ahead and closed his eyes.

Gently positioning the curler around his lashes, she gave it a few light squeezes, curling them perfectly. She then applied a couple of coats of mascara to enhance the curl, making his lashes look fuller and darker.

Thalia chuckled, reaching for a pair of the most dramatic false lashes she had. Holding them up for Lando to see, a playful glint twinkled in her eyes. "Now, these are going to make you look absolutely stunning."

Lando's eyes opened, a look of disappointment soon painting across his features bedoe he laughed in disbelief. "Are you serious?"

Thalia nodded in excitement as Lando sighed once again, just allowing her to do whatever she wanted to his face before she went ahead and carefully applied a thin layer of glue to the false lashes.

With steady hands, she positioned them along his lash line, pressing them gently into place. Lando sat perfectly still, feeling the odd sensation of the lashes being attached.

Lando blinked a few times, his eyes fluttering as he adjusted to the unfamiliar weight of the false lashes. "Jesus Christ," he muttered, squinting as he tried to manage the extra fringe.

Thalia retrieved the same hand mirror she had used earlier and handed it to Lando. He took a deep breath before glancing into the mirror.

His eyes widened in surprise as he took in his transformed appearance, and he set the mirror down, laughing out loud.

"Do you like it?" Thalia asked eagerly, her wide smile matching her anticipation for his reaction. But Lando was too busy laughing at himself to respond immediately.

"I look ridiculous!" He was at a loss of words, bringing the mirror back up to examine his newly glammed face more closely.

"But, actually... I'd leave you for me," He admitted with a grin.

"Hey," Thalia playfully smacked the back of his head. "Watch it," she quipped, raising an eyebrow at him.

"I look gorgeous." Lando smiled as Thalia was unable to take him seriously with his pink and glossy lips.

Pulling out her phone, Thalia went ahead and snapped a few pictures for her own entertainment. The 0.5 angles really making her laugh with joy, and it was contagious.

Glancing at his girlfriend, Lando quickly noticed the sudden mischievous gleam in her eyes that was quick to appear.

"What are you thinking about?" He asked suspiciously.

Thalia grinned. "Can I show Calvin and them?" She asked with mischief in her tone, causing his pretty and girly eyes to widen in horror.

"No way! Absolutely not. I look ridiculous!"

"Ridiculously stunning," Thalia corrected, already dialing her group chat with Calvin, Sol, and Lily. "Come on, it'll be fun! Besides, it's a good laugh."

Before Lando could protest any further, the screen lit up with the face of Lily, who was first to answer the FaceTime.

"Hello?—" She started, clearly in the middle of eating a meal before she bursted out laughing as soon as she saw Lando. "Oh my god—ALEX, LOOK."

"NO!" Lando panicked and covered his face in embarrassment, refusing for any of his friends to see him as he only expected Thalia's friends.

"Lando, IS THAT YOU?" The Thai driver laughed beside his girlfriend. "Don't be shy! Show me your pretty face!" He teased.

"Come onnnn, show them your pretty face." Thalia laughed as his subtle giggles echoed in the palms of his hands.

Taking a deep breath, Lando removed his hands and kept a straight face as his full beat glam did all the talking, causing Lily and Alex to laugh out loud.

"Mate. you look beautiful!" Alex complemented.

"Thals, you did good—"

"Hello?" Sol was next to join the FaceTime in a late manner. "Can you guys hear m—LANDO?" She quickly bursted into laughter.

"Oh my gosh, look at you!" She exclaimed, unable to contain herself as she giggled. "So... pretty?"

"Thank you, Sol." Lando chuckled.

"Hello?" Calvin suddenly joined. "What's going on here?" He stared into his camera, not even noticing Lando's face at first.

"Cal!" Sol tried her best to pause her laughter to greet him.

"Oh my god. Thalia, you did not." Calvin's hand soon slapped over his mouth before he laughed out loud with a scream. "YOU ATE..."

"DIDN'T I?" Thalia turned the camera back to her for a second to give herself a round of applause for the work of art that sat on her boyfriend's face.

"Lando looks good for once, I'm so gagged." Calvin chuckled.

"Aw, come on man." The McLaren driver said with a tone of defeat.

"Alright, I just wanted to show you guys my beautiful girlfriend." Thalia smiled into the FaceTime. "I'll talk to you guys later. Need to go wipe all of this off before she throws a tantrum."

"I'm not going to throw a tantrum!" Lando protested.

"Riiiiiighhhtt..." She trailed off, eyeing her boyfriend before bringing her attention back to her best friends. "But, love you guys! Talk later!" She blew kisses before they all waved and soon hung up the call.

Setting her phone down, Thalia smiled at the boy in front of her before attempting to swoop in for a kiss.

"No!" Lando stopped her. "You'll ruin my gloss." He clearly tried to mock her voice as he quoted a phrase she had said millions of times before.

Thalia laughed, drawing back with a playful pout. "You're stupid." She scoffed. "But fine, I'll wait until you're back to your natural self."

Lando grinned, but she still couldn't take him seriously. "Appreciate it. But seriously, get this off me before you start calling me your beautiful girlfriend in public."

"You will always be my beautiful girlfriend." Thalia placed her hands on his cheeks in a teasing manner.

"Right..." He chuckled.

"Alright, come on." Thalia hopped off his lap and stood up. "Let's get it off."

"I'm shocked you didn't want to call Oscar?" Lando quirked a brow.

"Oh, I've already sent pictures to him and many others. Don't worry." She snickered as she helped him up. His jaw dropped in slight shock.

"You fricken muppet!" Lando scoffed as Thalia laughed, continuing to drag him along with her.

Guiding him to the bathroom where she carefully removed his makeup, Lando marveled at her precision and care, feeling grateful for having someone who could turn even the most mundane activities into moments of fun and affection.

As Thalia wiped away the layers of foundation, blush, and  carefully removing the lashes, Lando found himself relaxing under her touch. The playful banter continued, punctuated by Thalia's laughter and Lando's exaggerated groans of protest.

"Almost done," She said, concentrating on removing the last bit of mascara.

"There, all back to your mildly attractive self."

"Mildly?!" He quirked a brow.

"Handsome!—Mildly attractive, whatever you wanna call it." She laughed as his tongue poked the inside of his cheek in mock offense before inspecting his reflection, giving a satisfied nod.

"Thank you." He grinned, now swooping down for the kiss he owed her.

Thalia smiled, setting the makeup remover aside before getting on her tip toes for another peck.

"Anytime, gorgeous."
