Talking about gujarati, I thought to share this exlerience kf mine with you. So I still remember my first day at first school in GUJARAT.

I had joined it in mid term. Everyone's seat was fixed excpet mjne, so I asked the teacher where I should sit. I was in 1st back then, and our class teacher was a gujarati teacher. She replied "Chhelli bench par besi jaa". I was thinking, "Baaki sab to theek hai, par ye chelli kya hota hai?". I thought chelli means sixth and went to sit there but it was already full, I looked at my teacher with a questioning look, and she was like, "Su thayu? besi jaa ne."
Luckily, a student helped me out explaining me that chelli means last and I found my place.

This incident made me realise that I was in a urgent need of a gujarati teacher, because most of the people here didn't/don't know hindi.

Also, there were 2nd term exams after 20 days of my joining, and surprisinly I did pass in Gujarati. Bachpan se hi smart thi, par kabhi ghamand nahi kiya.😜
