It was a dark night and a shadowed figure jumped across roof to roof, a black tail and cat ears flapping in the wind. The Stars glistened and the moons glow highlighted the figure even more. This was Chat noir. Joint hero of Paris, protecting people from Hawkmoth and his akuma attacks. Along side ladybug, a heroine blessed with luck (or just a kwami named tikki), they fight all who have been influenced by hawkmoths dark akuma, yet remain true to the hero name and don't harm the citizen trapped in the dark void of the akuma.

It was his patrol, ladybug and himself had decided that on school nights both would take turns to patrol. He was thrilled to find out she was a student yet that was all she let off. Currently he was coming to a close in his patrol. Another night and another night boring. The one thing Chat lover about akuma attacks was the fact he got to spend time with ladybug. Ladybug, the sound of her name could make his heart flutter as if butterflies lived there. Her eyes, blue as the sky they were enchanting he would always stare into them when he had the chance. And her voice, he wished he could recognise it everywhere but unfortunately that was not the case. He had heard a thing once and although it wasn't A full effort he knew she had more in her and he knew she would sound great.

His ears pricked up as a melody was heard in the wind. It sounded amazing and he just had to find out. The song wasn't recognised, must be an original. As he came closer he started to become more familiar to his where abouts. The song came from the direction of... Marinette's bakery? "It's ladybug, jumping above, my powers on when things go wrong..."  It was beautiful and it was Marinette! Just when he thought the girl couldn't surprise him even more. "It's ladybug, the lucky charm,my magic is on" the lyric meant something to him "always so strong" he just knew the next line, he didn't know how but he did! And he found himself singing it...

"It's ladybug..." the song stopped as their voice mixed and harmonised in ways that should be praised. "Chat?" Marinette breathed. Her breath mingled with the air around her creating a small wisp of steam. "Wow, you can sing!" A small blush lingered on her face before her eye's drooped and she turned her head away. "Yeah, so can you..." She didn't seem sad that he could sing, but distracted by something that made her sad. "What's wrong princess?" As he slowly walked over to the girl, she could feel the warmth radiating off him and on to her back. It felt.... Nice. A pair of strong arms wrapped around her from the back. "you can tell me..." The vibrations of his voice and his warm breath on the back of her neck sent chills down her spine. Not the chills when you are scared, no these chills felt comfortable, relaxing and believe it or not satisfying. 

"Chat..." Her voice seeped with sorrow and tears brimmed her eyes, yet she relaxed into the hug. She even turned around and hugged him back, he must admit he was quiet surprised when she did this. Tears flowed freely now and her soft sobs caused him pain... He didn't know why, maybe it was because she was a good friend of Adrien- well himself. Marinettte savored the embrace as her tears came to a slow stop. "Thank you." As ladybug she always knew Chat is quiet a loving character under all his flirtatious layers but as Marinette she felt like it was more... The more she thought about the incident regarding Adrien today, the more she thought about Chat. Was it possible that she was... Falling for the kitty, if so should she tell him? Meanwhile Chat was thinking similar things, he was upset that ladybug turned down patrol today but being with Marinette he felt... They both felt...

Was it a sign they should follow or just a spur of the moment thing. Reluctantly, both teens pulled away from the hug. "Thank you, again i really needed that." Adrien scratched the back of his head as a faint blush spread across what was left of his cheeks to be seen. "Are you, blushing?" Marinette faked a gasp and followed with a giggle when his cheeks turned even more red. "N-No, i'm just hot." another giggle. "Yeah guess that means your purrfect!" She used a cat pun! Marinette used a cat pun!!! "if you say so princess~" Now it was her turn to blush. "that song you were singing... Can i see it?" "y-yeah sure." She lent over to a book next to her and passed it towards him. Flipping through the infinite designs he finally found the page. "i have my own section!?!" his smile made Marinette laugh, "Your such a child." she exclaimed poking his puffed out cheek, his response was to stick out his tongue. "C-Could we sing it together sometime..." He avoided his eyes, waiting for rejection. "Sure!" He suppressed the urge to jump into the air screaming 'woohoo' but a broad Cheshire smile found its way onto his face instead. "Really?" "Nope..." she popped the p, he knew she was joking as a huge smile couldn't be wiped off her face. "Your mean!" he wined playfully, joining in with the joke. As a response, Marinette copied his reaction earlier and stuck out her tongue.

Within the five seconds her tongue was out, Adrien acted upon Chats instinct and lent forward to kiss her. ((warning!!! slightly detailed!!!!)) His mouth wrapped around her tongue and slipped his own in, Marinette was first shocked but soon melted into it. Their kiss gaining heat by the second Chat lay her down underneath him as they both tried to explore each others mouths. It was funny really, last time they were in this position she was kissing him as well, yet that time was to break a spell. Marinette let out a soft moan as Chat's mouth trailed away from hers and onto her neck as she bent it to the side to give him full acess... "C-Chat.." she moaned again her reply being a quick mumhum. "We- We should s-stop... ah!" she took a deep breath in as his mouth worked wonders, she knew he wasn't going to stop... "what about ladybug?" ((detail done))

He stopped and lifted his head up, his forehead resting against hers as they both inhaled deeply. Both breathless. A confused look spread across his face, "why do you ask?" He managed between breaths. "i-i thought you loved her..." A small blush spread across her face, it felt weird talking about, well her. "i thought i did and i still do but... you." Was all he managed before lifting himself to sit beside her and took a shaky breath. "Why can't you be the same person..." Oh the irony... Marinette let out a small giggle and rested her head against his shoulder. "i'm in the same position." She sighed "why can't you be him..." "him?" Chat was now worried, she loved someone else? No she said she was in the same position and that meant she loved him too. "Adrien Agreste, a guy from my school who i've been crushing on for ever..." Oh the irony... It was Chats turn to chuckle. "I'm sure he loves you back." Her head just dropped "no, he really doesn't." oh yes he does Chat thought. just as he was about to talk his ring beeped... "i'll see you tomorrow for our duets." he kissed her forehead. "Till then.." he slowly stood and helped Marinette up too. It seemed he was about to leave when he pulled Marinette in for a kiss, it wasn't as long as their previous one but was still passionate. "Good bye princess..." "Good bye my kitty..."

About a month later the duet was finished, it only took this long because of the making-out taking priority. Both trusted one another and whispered that they needed to show each other something. Being a gentleman Chat let Marinette go first, watching in wonder as the light slowly transformed her into his other love... Ladybug. He chuckled as he undid his own transformation. "Oh the irony!" they both laughed...
