Rooftops
The people's wishes have been answered! The fluff has returned!. -Colorado

There were many things Marinette loved about being Ladybug. She loved being able to make people happy. She loved being Chat Noir's partner. She loved the grin on people's faces when she was spotted by them. Most of all, Ladybug loved the rooftops.
Paris looked different from up there. It was her own personal safe Haven of sorts. She wasn't in any danger when she was running along the rooftops. Unless there was an akuma, but you know, details. Ladybug loved patrolling, she loved being able to loosen up while in the mask. She loved being able to grow her partnership with Chat Noir. But tonight, as she approached the rooftops, she couldn't calm the nerves that shot through her.
For once, it seemed as though she was early for patrol. They decided to meet at their favorite rooftop, the one with a sparkling view of the Eiffel Tower. As she sat, she tried her hardest not to fidget. Tikki would tell her to stop catastrophizing, but Tikki wasn't here. Ladybug's thoughts tried to drown out her rational thinking.
'He's changed his mind. He was playing with you. This will only end in disaster. You're going to destroy the world.' Ladybug shook her head, trying to get her own thoughts to leave her alone. She remembered the trick Chat had told her about taking deep breaths.
'That's not going to happen. I know Chat Noir, he would never purposefully hurt me.' She thought. The coolness of the rooftop grounded her. She could feel it against her finger tips as a light breeze fluttered through.
The air around her shifted, and a smile came over her face. She didn't hear anything, but at this point she was fine tuned to his presence.
"I know you're there, Chat Noir," she said.
"You looked so peaceful, I didn't want to disturb you." Chat walked over to her, picking up her hand and kissing it.
"Sit with me?" she asked, trying to hide how her entire insides had turned to goo. He smiled at her, that one smile that Ladybug adored with all of her heart.
"As My Lady wishes," he murmured, sitting down close enough to her so their legs were touching.
"How was your day?" Ladybug whispered, leaning up against him. Chat Noir stiffened, but quickly relaxed. She had to smother her giggle. For all of his talk, he was always so weak when it came to her showing affection.
"It's much better now that I'm here with you," he said, placing his head on his shoulder. "To be honest, my day was fine, but I kept on thinking about what happened last night. It's always hard to be away from you, but today it was pure torture." He intertwined his hands with hers.
"I know the feeling," Ladybug muttered. Alya had been bugging her all day if something had happened last night. Try as she might, Marinette couldn't hide anything from that girl. She may not know about her and Chat Noir, but Alya knew her best friend. Denying the existence of her boyfriend only made her miss him more. "Part of me was a bit scared that you changed your mind," she admitted.
"Bug, look at me," Chat began, lifting her head to look at his, "I've loved you pretty much from the day I met you. I have been dying for a chance to show you how much I love you ever sense. You've granted me that chance now, I'd be the biggest fool in the world to give it up."
Ladybug smiled, leaning into his hand on her face.
"It's still just so new, part of me is still worried it won't work out. Like everything is so great, something must be going wrong," she sighed.
"I get it. You're talking to an expert is catastrophizing, but you have to remember that those thoughts aim to hurt you. If you ever need reassurance, just text me. Maybe I won't respond right away, but I promise I'll text back as soon as possible," he vowed. Ladybug laughed at his dramatics. He was such a silly kitty, and oh how she loved him.
"Thank you, mon chaton." She leaned over to give him a kiss on the cheek, just because she could! Because he was her boyfriend!
After months of back and forth, months of debating with herself, Ladybug had finally given in. She had kissed Chat Noir last night. He had said his sweet words to her and Ladybug felt herself melting and then she kissed him. Simple as that. He had been confused, at first. She figured he was probably in disbelief. Then Chat had given her the biggest grin she'd ever seen, and swept her up in his arms. She had started that night upset at how she could never love Chat Noir and ended the night with a boyfriend. Tikki hadn't necessarily been pleased, but she was happy that it was Ladybug and Chat Noir who had gotten together and not Marinette and Chat (even though Marinette would've loved a chance to sweep him off his feet as a civilian).
"Ladybug," he hummed, his face flushing a bright red.
"Whaaaaat?" she drawled, but she knew exactly what she was doing.
"You are pure evil." Chat Noir crossed his arms, but there was a grin on his face.
"You know you love me, kitty cat." She leaned up into his space. They were so close, they were nearly nose to nose with each other.
"You got that right!" Chat placed a quick kiss on her nose, before drawing back. It was Ladybug's turn to go bright red. "See? Surprise kisses can be very effective."
"Clearly," Ladybug said, trying to hide the way her heart pounded against her ribcage. God, if this was her reaction to a simple nose kiss, how was she going to feel when he kissed her again?
She had kissed him last night, it was something that couples did with each other. It was inevitable for them to kiss again. She just needed to be composed and not melt into a pile of goo. Most importantly of all, she would not stutter.
Chat was still close to her. So close she could feel his breath on her lips. He took a quick glance up towards her eyes, asking silently for permission. Ladybug smiled, of course Chat would be so considerate that he'd ask. She answered him by bridging the gap.
Ladybug wasn't sure if she would ever get used to the feeling of Chat Noir's lips against hers. They were soft, even softer than hers (she made a mental note to ask him what chapstick he used). Each ounce of his love for her poured into their embrace. It was in the way he pulled her closer to her. It was in the way she buried her hands in his hair.
They pulled apart, matching grins on each other's faces. Ladybug took a risk and glanced at Chat Noir. He was looking at her as if she was the Sun. She felt herself melting into a pile of goo. Great, seems as though she went back on her objective. At least she wasn't stuttering!
"I love you, My Lady," Chat whispered, every breath hitting her lips.
"I yuv lou, I mean! I love you, too." She was smiling, but she bit back the urge to groan. Chat Noir only laughed, that traitor.
"Cat got your tongue, Bug?"
"Shut up," she said, burying her face in his chest so he couldn't see her complexion.
"Aw, My Lady, I'm sorry." But he was laughing, so Ladybug knew he wasn't sorry at all. "It's cute how flustered you get around me, really. It's not something I've ever seen on you before. It's a nice reminder that you're human."
"How can you be so smooth right after we kiss?" Ladybug demanded, pulling her head out of his chest to look at him.
"I'm just a super smooth catsanov-mnph!"
Ladybug took her chance and placed a kiss right on his lips. She could see how he melted underneath her touch. Just when he had recovered from his shock and began to kiss back, Ladybug pulled away.
"I, uh, wow." He said, his eyes wide. Okay, now Ladybug could see why he had laughed. It was just too cute!
"What were you saying? You're some great catsanova?" Ladybug asked through her laughter. Chat Noir shot her a glare without any malice.
"I'd be mad, but your laughter is genuinely my favorite sound in the world, so I think I lack the capability to be mad," Chat Noir said, another grin on his face. Ladybug gave him a soft smile, blushing.
"And your smile is my favorite sight to see," she told him honestly. "It's just another reason why I love you."
She could see the way Chat Noir reacted to her words. His eyes went soft and his smile went wide, he circled one arm around her waist and pulled her close so they were chest-to-chest. Then, Chat placed his head on her shoulder, leaning into her.
"And you're my safe place, bugaboo. Just another reason why I love you," he whispered.
"You're my safe place too," she said, leaning into his hug. "No one else really gets to see this side of me. Ladybug is supposed to be this fearless superhero who always has a solution, but you're my partner. You can see how I freak out over getting a spoon for a lucky charm. You can see how having the responsibility weighs on me. You're the only one who gets to see this side of Ladybug." Her hands found his hair, beginning to play with wayward strands.
"And I love every side of you, but give yourself some credit." Chat pulled back to give her a quick kiss on the cheek. "Maybe you're not fearless, but that's what makes you brave. You still go out and fight for Paris every single day despite being scared. And maybe you don't have a solution every time, and you shouldn't have to, but still, what you do with your lucky charm is amazing. I know I could never come up with convoluted plans on the fly like you." He smiled at her, and she knew he meant every word he said.
Ladybug had to fight back the blush that threatened to take over her entire face. She couldn't help it! Not when Chat Noir was being so incredibly sweet to her.
"What did I do to deserve a partner as amazing as you?" Ladybug sighed, leaning her face up against his chest.
"Save Paris on the daily, duh," Chat told her, as if it was obvious. He placed a quick kiss to the top of her head. Ladybug simultaneously hated and loved how she melted.
This boy had so much power over her, but she knew he could be trusted. There was no one else Ladybug would rather have as a boyfriend. While sure, she had crushed hard on Adrien, maybe a relationship with him would have been too hard. She'd have to work through her nerves and her stutter. While she knew Adrien was patient enough to help her, it would have been hard. Plus, there was the fact that Adrien insisted she was "just a friend." Meanwhile, Chat Noir who she started to have deep feelings for was right there. Their dynamic was everything she ever wanted, and she knew how much he loved her. She loved him, too. It felt different than with Adrien. With Adrien it was more about the unknown, about discovering who he was. With Chat Noir she felt safe, already secure in their relationship no matter what her thoughts tried to claim. Adrien always felt like a fantasy, Chat Noir was her real and steady rock. Ladybug was growing up, she would probably be married within the next ten or so years. Whenever she thought about marriage, marrying Adrien was a simple fantasy Marinette could change however she pleased. Marrying Chat, on the other hand, seemed like a reality Ladybug would very much like to live in.
"Whatcha thinking about?" Chat asked, burying his nose in her hair.
"Just... how much I love you." One day Ladybug would tell him about her thoughts, about her intentions for the relationship. She knew what they had was serious, that was never a question, but marriage was a lifelong commitment. She was always one to plan ahead, to try and plan out the meticulous details of her life. One day she'd tell Chat Noir about her new plan, and how big of a role he played in it.
"I love you too, Ladybug," he whispered into her ear. She kissed him again, because why the hell not?
She had been so blind before. So blind to not see how Chat Noir was someone she couldn't bear to live without. So blind to see how much the thought of him moving on hurt. She had been so incredibly blind. Now she was seeing the world and seeing it in screaming color.
"You know we're technically supposed to be patrolling, right?" Ladybug realized. Chat only laughed, and waved her off.
"Paris can survive for one night. I have not seen my girlfriend all day and I would very much like to hold her. If Hawkmoth has complaints, he can personally take it up with me," Chat Noir said. He was nodding his head, as if that made perfect sense. Ladybug giggled, he was an utter dork. She never ever wanted him to change.
"Alright, I suppose you're correct, silly kitty. You're a bad influence on me, though. What would Paris say if they knew I was abandoning them to cuddle with my boyfriend on a rooftop?" Ladybug let out a scandalous gasp. Chat snorted.
"I think all of Paris would rejoice that we finally got together. Except for maybe Hawkmoth, but I don't think Hawkmoth can feel joy anymore," Chat said wryly.
"You're probably right," Ladybug mused, a smile playing on her lips as she dreamed about her relationship no longer being a secret.
"Would you ever want to tell Paris about this?" Chat whispered, gesturing to the two of them.
"If I had it my way, I'd scream from every rooftop in Paris how much I love you." Ladybug said simply. "But yeah, I'd like to eventually. There's only so long I can go without kissing you," she teased. His ears turned pink, but he looked determined to not break under her sweet words.
"I'd like to eventually, too. Tell Paris about our relationship, I mean. I think it would be fun to see everyone's reaction to it," Chat Noir said, a sparkle in his eye.
"I have this friend who's a diehard LadyNoir shipper," Ladybug laughed. "I honestly think she would freak out. She probably wouldn't shut up about it all day." If Alya knew that it was her best friend who was dating Chat Noir? Oh God, she wouldn't be quiet about it for months.
"I have a friend like that, too. I think she'd be annoying about it, but in the best way possible. Her and I would be annoying about it together," Chat said, grinning.
"You shouldn't call your friends annoying, Chat Noir, that's not nice," Ladybug lectured, but she was smiling.
"Hey! I know she would call me annoying too without any hesitation," Chat said, indignant. "Like I said, we would be annoying together,"
"Yeah, you are pretty great at that," Ladybug teased, flicking her hand against his bell.
"Why thank- Ladybug!" he gasped when her words registered. "So calling you friends annoying is mean, but calling your boyfriend annoying isn't?" he grumbled, but his eyes were still sparkling.
"Oh, I'm sorry that I hurt your feelings my poor kitty, whatever can I do to make it up to you?" Ladybug cooed, trying her hardest to play along and not laugh.
"I have an idea." Chat puckered his lips, and leaned down towards her.
'Silly kitty,' she thought as his lips met her own.
"There, does that make it up to you?" Ladybug asked as they pulled away.
"I don't know, maybe you'll have to kiss me again." Chat winked.
"Oh my God, just get over here." She grabbed his bell, and brought him down to meet her lips. Chat melted into her as she kissed him. She poured as much love as she possibly could into their embrace, but she didn't think anything could possibly live up to how much she cared about him. The way he kissed her back implied he felt the exact same way.
"You are my favorite person in the entire world," Ladybug said, poking him in the chest with every word. "Don't you ever forget that, Chat Noir."
"And you're mine," he said, picking up her hand and placing a kiss on it. "Don't you ever forget that either, My Lady."
"And I know I told you all of this last night, but I couldn't be happier now that I'm with you. This just feels right, like it was always meant to be this way," Ladybug explained, her face was flushed, but she wasn't embarrassed. She had stopped being embarrassed about her love for Chat Noir weeks ago.
"We're two halves of the same whole, we've always known that. I think in some cultures they may call that soulmates," Chat breathed out. His eyes were filled with emotion, most of all love. He was giving her that same look. The one where she was his Sun, moon, and stars. She wasn't quite sure if her words could choke out a response, so she did the next best thing.
She kissed him again.
Ladybug had always loved the view of Paris from the rooftops. She had loved the way the Eiffel Tower sparkled at night. She had loved the way the city seemed to come to life earning its name of the City of Lights. But tonight, Ladybug loved the rooftops for a whole different reason. The rooftops was where she kissed Chat Noir for the first time. It was where she confessed. And tonight, they provided her with the perfect place to kiss her boyfriend.

I honestly had no idea what to do with this prompt (hence why it's so loosely connected), but I wanted some established relationship, so that's what I wrote. -Colorado
